About this game

Helena is a rookie assassin who dreams of fame. Like you, she likes Nice Things. As she gets more kills, she gets more money to buy Nice Things. She also gets new skills

Find Targets, Read Fan-Mail, Delete Spam

After her first kill and the headlines it made on a lot of forums, Helena started getting requests for kills. Help her go through her inbox to determine which job is worth her time.

Research Targets, Then Choose Your execution Methods

Not all targets are created equal. Some are worth the risk, others requires better stats to accomplish.  The stats you earn from buying nice things plus your performance in minigames will determine the success of the kills.

Buy Nice Things, Unlock Skills, Unlock Lore

This is a game about stats, getting your follower count high, and learning more about Helena.

Who is Helena?

Helena is a lone assassin who exclusively kills men. She is a refugee turned girl boss. This is an off-shoot prequel to Liminal Void detailing the life of Helena after her first kill up until the events of the first game.

This game doesn't endorse hate, btw.

Difficulty Settings, Progression, and Bug Fixes

Hello everyone. It has been one week since release and I am very happy this game wasn't a flop. I am now thinking of my next game, but this game will continue to be updated. I didn't take much of a break irl. I'm actually VERY SAD but that's unrelated to this game. Behind this game is a human being trying their best, even if it doesn't look like it. New FeaturesDifficulty Modes: Pick your challenge at the start of a new game. On Easy, execution minigames can only ever help you; Normal is the classic experience; on Hard, botching a minigame fails the kill outright.Select Your Style executions: Once unlocked via the Artist skill tree, you now choose an execution approach per kill, each with its own trade-offs across Fame, Heat, success chance, cost, and Debt. (This replaces the old "Lay Low" action.)Economy & ProgressionDEBT: Debt is now easier to accrue and actually meaningful. Debt draws your Money negative in real time, and at a New Era any negative balance rolls into your persistent Charity ledger. Endings now judge atonement (debt repaid through Charity) rather than raw debt, so all three endings stay reachable.FAME: Fixed a Fame double-count bug where the Viral Momentum legacy perk applied its bonus twice, corrected several perk descriptions to match their real effects, and fixed a cheat-payment routing issue.CLOUT CHASE: Reworked the CLOUT CHASE inbox filter so it meaningfully cherry-picks fame-heavy jobs at every stage of the game, instead of doing nothing early and accepting everything late.Bug FixesREJ ALL now clears expired/leftover contracts from a previous era instead of leaving them behind.Rejecting an expired contract no longer incorrectly charges Heat.Fixed "ghost" contracts reappearing in your inbox after a New Era or reload. There is probably a few more things I missed. And I am sorry for that. The fastest way to get me is on discord.Thank you everyone for buying my game, leaving positive reviews, and even joining my discord. It means a lot to me and ...

    A risky update

    1. Inbox overwhelming should be toned down in the first few introductory emails 2. Mood/Heat won't change during tutorial phases and story sequences. Please watch them 3. Achievement issues with endings should be fixed. Let me know if not. 4. Small QoL issues such New Era breaking some sequences As this game involves a lot of background math, there are likely to be things where your eyes deceive you. Please report them. Thank you for your support and enjoying this game. More updates will follow as I get more reports/feedback.

    First Update

    1. Fixed the inbox issue with stuff being cropped out 2. Jobs don't expire in your first era 3. When mood falls below 60, and the bad thoughts become visible, the ticker on the bottom will confirm Let me know if this messes up your save files. It shouldn't but I only had a handful of super cool playtesters.

    Femme Fatality is out

I'm too busy to put a lot of thought into this, so if I mess up, I'm sorry. This is my 4th game and a spinoff of my first. In Liminal Void, Helena is introduced as a "psycho femcel killer" and all we knew about her is that she kills men. This game goes more into her past. Helena's goal is to reach 1 billion followers on social media. But instead of the actual social media aspect like playing with algorithms, shameless plugs/collabs, and advertisement, the focus is solely on her craft. And buying nice things. If you're a creator, you will understand this. There is a lot of futility in having such goals while simply focusing on what you're good at, but that's what this game is about. And a lot of failing. You will crash out, but you will get better each time. The only game over is quitting. Can you actually reach 1 billion followers? Yeah, I set up the algorithms so that eventually growth becomes exponential. You will have milestones and goals and a lot of lore drops and story elements. I can't say it really feels like a visual novel, but it borrows a lot from Landmine Princess's execution. As this is a 2D game, the requirements aren't that high. I hope even if you dislike Helena, you are curious of what she has to say next. There are 21 minigames that are very fast-paced but there is no game over logic. Actually, when you do too many assassinations, you overheat, lose your stats and skills, and then a NEW ERA begins. You still have your money, and there are some behind-the-scenes stuff that actually makes you stronger. This game still has a lot of cryptic stuff going for it so I hope you guys like surprises. There's around 14 or so new original songs plus some extra so hopefully the music will be nice for you. I apologize in advance for any Day 1 bugs. I only had a handful of playtesters and not a lot of feedback from the demo. This started as an incremental game but I ended up making a lot of minigames and story so it became it's own thing. Maybe a simulation, or a tr...
