About this game
You can always go further. The question is whether you should. Welcome to the Infinite Backrooms.
An endless, procedurally generated maze where every step can lead somewhere new. Rooms, corridors, dead ends, and entire areas are generated from a seed as you explore, meaning every game can unfold differently.
There is no map to memorize.... There is no safe route.... and you never know what is waiting around the next corner.
A World That Never Repeats
The world is generated from a seed and can extend roughly 2.15 million kilometers in any direction from your starting point, around 11 times the distance from Earth to the Moon.
The question isn't where the maze ends. It's whether you'll make it there.
No loading screens. No level select. No boundaries.
Survival Is Part of the Horror
Your hunger, sanity, and flashlight battery constantly drain as you explore. Search abandoned areas for food, batteries, and other useful items while trying to keep yourself alive.
And when the lights go out, things get worse.

Each level has its own day/night cycle, eventually plunging the environment into complete darkness.
Stay prepared. Stay together. And whatever you do...
don't waste your flashlight.
One Endless World.
Unlike other Backrooms games that isolate each level behind a loading screen, Infinite Backrooms connects all rooms, corridors and levels into a single living map:

The world transitions around you, familiar places becoming unfamiliar, comfortable spaces becoming wrong.
Play Alone or With Friends
Explore the Backrooms solo or in online co-op with up to 6 players.
Stick together to survive. Split up to cover more ground.
You're Not Alone
The Backrooms are not empty. Some entities hunt by sound. Some only appear in darkness.
And some are simply waiting for you to make a mistake.
Every run is different. Every decision matters.
Features
True infinite procedural world generation with seed system.
Interconnected environments with seamless transitions.
No loading screens between areas.
Shareable seeds, explore the same world as your friends.
No entity mode. Just explore the backrooms peacefully.

Game Release and Thanks for the 20.000 wishlists!
Hi Everyone, Just here to share some updates about the game's Early Access release, and to thank you again for reaching the milestone of 20,000 wishlists! Early Access FeaturesThe Early Access build has significantly more content compared to the demo. Main new features are:Player Personal Necessities: Hunger, Sanity, StaminaItems and Inventory: Players now have items to help them on their Backrooms journey, with a full inventory system.Day-Night Cycle: The Backrooms now have blackout periods, and the player has a flashlight with a battery level.Levels: I've implemented a level system, where you need to find elevator cards to unlock new levels and find the exit. Each level is infinite, with its own corridors, entities, room types, and generation logic. All of these new features also work in co-op multiplayer. Demo and Impostor ModeI'll need to remove the demo for now, since it's an old version and no longer reflects the current state of the game. I'll work on bringing bug fixes and environment changes and relaunch the demo later. Also, the multiplayer demo was set up using Unity's built-in multiplayer methods, which ended up costing me more than I expected, haha. The release version is built with native Steamworks methods instead, which are free and make the game more scalable. As for the Impostor mode, I removed it from this first release. I didn't have enough time to test and debug it properly, and I don't want to ship something that isn't 100% functional. This mode will be added in a future update. Thanks again for all the feedback and for supporting the development.Any questions or bug reports, just let me know. Thanks,Read full article on Community Announcements (ww_azevedo)AnnouncementsOfficial
Thanks for the 10,000 wishlists!
Hi everyone! I’m here to thank everyone who has supported this game. Today, we hit 10,000 wishlists! 🎉 I’m a solo developer working on this game, and as a software engineer, I learn a little more about game development every day, especially thanks to all the feedback and support from this community. I first came up with the idea for this game about three years ago as a personal side project. I stopped development several times, but when I heard that a Backrooms movie was coming, I decided to start working on it much more seriously. The original plan was to release the game alongside the movie, but a lot of life events happened along the way at same time. I changed jobs, moved to a new apartment, my son was born, my car broke down, and one of my cats was diagnosed with cancer (R.I.P Simba). :(We’re creating something a little different here: a game that truly tries to capture the feeling and lore of the Backrooms. A procedural world that can extend into infinity, with endless rooms and levels that can continue to grow and evolve with the help of the community. My goal is simple: I want to create something people genuinely enjoy, have fun with. The game launches on August 14, 2026. Thank you again for all your support. ❤️ 10,000 wishlists means a lot to me, especially as a solo developer. I couldn’t have gotten this far without you.Read full article on Community Announcements (ww_azevedo)AnnouncementsOfficial
