About this game
Resurgis is a third-person action game that merges unforgiving souls-like combat with a fast-paced rogue-lite progression system. Test your reflexes, forge your unique combat style, and carve your path for vengeance through a dark, blood-soaked dungeon loop.
Weighty Combat & Brutal Executions The combat system is built entirely on patience, timing, and pure carnage. Parry incoming attacks, dodge lethal blows, and punish your enemies with heavy, satisfying sword strikes. Paint the battlefield red with gory finishers that cleave weakened enemies into pieces.
Forge Your Own Playstyle Survive by conquering the dungeon room by room. After clearing a room, open the chest and choose one of three cards (Attack, Energy, or Parry focused) to complement your strategy. Every run offers a unique experience with different enemy layouts, mini-bosses, merchants, and endless build combinations.
Death is Just the Beginning Falling in this merciless world is not the end. The souls you harvest from slaughtered enemies stay with you even in death. Return to the hub, spend your hard-earned souls on the skill tree for permanent upgrades, and dive back into the depths deadlier than ever.
Unravel a Dark Secret You were resurrected to eradicate evil spirits. Yet, as you delve deeper and spill more blood, you will realize something is terribly wrong. The entities that pulled you back to the mortal realm might not be as innocent as they seem.
Dismember Your Foes with Ruthless Executions
Death is Only a New Beginning
The souls you gather do not abandon you in death. Use them at ancient altars to empower your character, transcend your limits, and return to the dungeons stronger than ever before.

Resurgis Devlog #1: I Completely Overhauled the Dungeons!
Hello everyone!I know I’ve been quiet since launching the Steam store page for Resurgis: Rise of the Dead, but behind the scenes, I’ve been running a massive operation to completely transform the game's core atmosphere. Today, as a solo developer, I want to share how I brought the visual quality to the level it truly deserves and how I completely rebuilt the dungeons from scratch.Saying Goodbye to the Repetitive "Box" Architecture Early in development, the dungeons were much flatter, featuring rigid 90-degree angles and repetitive layout grids. However, I realized that a dark fantasy game needs to give the player a claustrophobic, heavy, and lived-in feeling. That’s why I threw the old dungeon designs straight into the trash! No More Low-Quality Walls & Monotony: I completely replaced the low-quality assets and broke the endless loop of identical structures.Maximized Lighting Quality: I pushed the limits of the engine to elevate the lighting to its absolute peak, creating deep shadows and dramatic contrasts.Environmental Storytelling: I added traces of history and remnants of past events into the levels. Now, the dungeon itself tells a story, hinting at the dark secrets that once took place here. Ending the Plastic Look: Cinematic Contrast & Realistic Materials Using high-resolution textures is never enough on its own; it’s how light interacts with those stones that defines the true atmosphere. No More Wet Plastic Shimmer: I completely eliminated that cheap "wet plastic" reflection (smoothness) from the walls and floors. The stones now absorb the light instead of mirroring it, delivering the gritty texture of ancient, dried-up dungeon rocks.ACES Tonemapping Integration: I updated the color palette to Hollywood industry standards using ACES. No more artificial digital color pops—just pure, ominous darkness balanced by the warm contrast of torches.God Rays & Floating Dust Motes To deepen the immersion, I focused heavily on details. Inside the volumetric light beams (God...Read full article on Community Announcements (HAA)
