Update v0.1.2 Patchnotes:- New: Shelfs! You can now sell selfgrown crops in your shop, later there will be new types of products you can produce and sell. You can unlock shelfs at Level 16.- New: You can now customize your character's look! There's a building in the town, where you can interact with the wardrobe to start customizing your character.- Many paint colors were changed to more pleasing and matching colors. - The checkout furniture is now paintable too.- Closing the inventory while a vendor UI is open closes both now. New Patch just released!
Hey! A new patch just went live: Keybinds are now available in the Settings, only for keyboard but we might expand it later to controller binds, if that's something players want (let us know!)The Interaction prompt still keeps the same icon, I will fix this until the next patch.Multiplayer is now working again!The Camera Sensitivity gets now automatically adjusted for Controllers. I've also added a small tutorial step for opening the inventory, and dropping items.Another fix got applied for restoring geckos and eggs, this one was (or is) hard for us to fix because we're not able to replicate it on our end.Some other small things were fixed like the smoke particles and names of NPC's. I've also added a text in the breeder UI to explain that both parents will disappear. Many new updates!
The first bigger update for GeckoShop 2 is now playable!The Island got slightly expanded, and got more stuff to explore: Harvest Berries from bushes, and Mushrooms from trunks to sell at vendors and make additional money. You can harvest them every 5-10 minutes spent in game. There are plans for the future to give them another purpose rather than only making money. Also: Loot Chests of different rarities will now appear around the map every now and then, that can be opened for coins and occasionally items. We have replaced the overworld buildings with more fitting versions, allowing players to enter them, and us devs to get more creative with the interior design.We will continue to expand the map, and make exploring more fun and rewarding.Rarities are now determined by how many cosmetics a gecko has. This does not change any breeding behaviour, but makes more sense than choosing a random rarity when a box gets opened.We've fixed geckos occasionally duplicating inside the shop, and also fixed tank contents transfering from one savefile to another.The Growbed UI seeds slot had a visual bug, this is now fixed. I've done some graphical improvements too, though I'm still working on it.There were other small improvements here and there, like selling tanks showing their placement direction with an arrow, better inventory behaviour, and more.This is one of many updates that will follow in the next few days and weeks, so stay tuned! The Demo just went Live!
Hey everyone!We're so excited to finally share with you what we've been working on the last few months.The Demo is finally out, and can be played by everyone for free. You can even play with your friends!The first game is loved by the community, but it had some flaws, thus why we made a sequel. From a little game project to a polished experience. GeckoShop 2 is built to stay, and will be updated for many years to come.What's changed?New Inventory System, instead of only being able to hold one item at a timeEach box has now a set of cosmetics, allowing for way more variation.Your collections are now cosmetics-based, some cosmetics and colors have lower chances.This also allows merging cosmetics, by breeding a male and a female gecko.GeckoShop 2 focuses a lot on automation, and factory building, but as an additional layer to the shopkeeping, you won't miss anything from the first game.Automation is kept simple but deep, it has all a factory game needs, be ready to get creative.Additionally to your shop, you now have a Lab, a Garden and your own Home where you can keep your favorite geckos.You can now grow crops in your garden, to feed geckos and make them more valuable.This time, the backbone of the game is very stable and modular, allowing for easy updating and the addition of new content for the future.This time, the backbone of the game is very stable and modular, allowing for easy updating and the addition of new content for the future.We optimized the game to the nail, so don't be afraid to keep hundreds if not thousands of geckos.Be aware, the game is still in a Beta phase, especially the Multiplayer Mode.
