About this game

Soul Diagnosis is an absurdist amnesiac doctor role-playing experience. Built in the lineage of Planescape: Torment and Disco Elysium, this narrative isometric cRPG takes place in a fantastical techno-divergent analog universe.

You awaken in a remote hospital in a frozen province to the sound of a nurse hammering on your door. Your patients are dying, and everyone expects you to act immediately. If only you knew the first thing about being a doctor.

Become the Doctor

Level up and distribute your skill points among 12 unique skills. What type of doctor will you be? Will your burnt-out nihilism reveal the tragic beauty in the darkness? Will your monkey-like manual dexterity fuel feces-tossing, tribalistic behaviors? Will your razor sharp logic solve obscure medical mysteries or will the blade of judgment be turned upon yourself? You make the call, doctor.

The Voices are Keeping Score

Roll the dice and deal with the consequences. As you pump up your skills, the odds of success increase and the voices get louder. Who can you trust? Each skill has its own personality and agenda.

Wield the antiquated medical knowledge and questionable surgical skills of STATUS DOCTORÉ.

Merge with the eclectic spirituality of AERO SAGE. Pass around that snake oil with the other charlatans!

Make lightning fast decisions and gloss over important details with HIP SHOT.

Embrace survival with the maladaptive worldview of LIZARD BRAIN. Is that a tiger? No! It’s a public speaking event!

Channel the Ghosts of the Past

To be a physician is to carry a private cemetery of past failures. In your case, it’s literal. Ghosts haunt your every footstep, and no one else can see them. As your failures multiply, your entourage enlarges. Why are they haunting you? Will they help you become the lifesaving beacon that this hospital desperately needs, or will they drag you and patients alike down into the mire of your madness?

Enter the Dark Machine

Beneath this lonely hospital, a shadowy conspiracy built on ancient ruins awaits. Witness the last breaths of a dying culture, strangled by the iron grip of an imperialistic regime. Uncover the sinister contract extracting the lifeforce of the locals and delve into the mysticism of a sunless province.
