About this game

A Divine Mission

The gods have returned you from death for one final task. Hunt down the Promethean horrors that have escaped fate and stolen immortality by drinking the blood of the gods.

Your brother has shattered the natural order by unleashing the Promethean Thirst. Fight across a cursed island, reclaim the blood of the gods, and fulfill the destiny the Olympians have chosen for you.

Promethean Thirst is a brutal action roguelite inspired by Ancient Greek mythology. Battle across a cursed island overrun by a spreading vampiric corruption known as the Promethean Thirst. Master skill-based combat, wield legendary weapons, and carve through mythic horrors as every choice shapes your fate beneath the watchful eyes of the gods.

Key Features

  • Brutal Skill-Based Combat: Master five unique weapon classes, each with its own moveset, strengths, and playstyle. Cut through undead warriors, corrupted beasts, and relentless mythic enemies where every mistake could be your last.

  • Defeat Mythic Bosses: Slay unholy abominations and corrupted versions of iconic Greek legends, including Talos, the Minotaur, and other fearsome foes.

  • Earn the Favor of the Gods: Pay recovered Ichor from slain enemies to receive holy equipment from the gods. Win the favor of the Olympians, but beware. Every god has their own agenda.

  • Create Powerful Builds: Unlock mythic weapons, discover hidden treasures, and combine divine blessings to create unique builds every run.

  • Confront Your Fallen Brother: Pursue the brother who chose immortality over humanity and uncover the source of the Promethean Thirst. Defeat him, then face Prometheus himself in the final reckoning.

    A Tornado Sweeps the Island

Hi everyone, thanks for being with us on this update! You may not know this, but our game runs on our custom engine, Tornado, and our custom graphics system, Aurora. Over the past few weeks, I have been adding key missing features along with a few fun new ones.We now have transparency, yes, that genuinely did not exist until now, and we've got a full PBR workflow implemented, tested, and tuned with some solid defaults, so even a basic round orb looks awesome by default. We hope you enjoy the changes and would love your feedback. Keep reading for the rest of the change notes, but most importantly, go try out the game!Talos & Enemy AI Talos's first pass on Phase 1 of his boss fight is in! He's still getting tweaked, so expect some rough edges for now, but the bones of the encounter are there. Alongside that, a batch of AI improvements and rebalancing has landed across the board. Several enemies are noticeably smarter and more dangerous to fight than before, and most of the tuning work we've been doing feeds directly into how Talos plays.Balance Changes General balance pass across the board. Nothing flashy to screenshot, but it should make fights feel more consistent. We've also scattered breakable Ichor containers around the world to help smooth out the game's economy.UI & HUD Improvements Room progress is now shown as visual icons across the top of the screen instead of the plain red text counter, much easier to read at a glance. Equipment has also been moved into an in-game menu instead of sitting on-screen at all times, cleaning things up. Items are still shown directly on-screen for now; we'll be replacing those with compact icons soon to free up even more space.Visual Overhaul This is where most of the work went this update. PBR materials are fully in now. Weapons and helmets actually look metallic, and surfaces across the game (even in the HUD!) have a lot more visual life than before. On top of that:Shadows now fall through trees properly, adding a lot of atmosp...
