About this game
You crash-landed on an alien world. The ship is scrap, the planet is hostile, and progress doesn't stop when you step away. Lost Vessel is a sci-fi idle RPG with real combat, deep crafting, and a slow climb back toward the stars - playable in thirty-second bursts or five-hour grinds. Free to play, no pay-to-win, ever.
Five skills pull you back from zero: salvage the wreckage, mine the planet, harvest alien flora, fabricate weapons and armor, analyze every sample for the next tier of everything. Each skill compounds the others - endgame materials require components from all five.
A melee / ranged / void-magic triangle where every enemy has a weakness. Crits, armor pierce, dodges, reflects, instant kills on legendary gear. Weapons degrade with use and break permanently if you let them. Fight through zones with escalating difficulty all the way to a dimensional rift at the endgame.
Equipment starts common and works up through rare, epic, and legendary at the Forge. Legendaries aren't just bigger numbers - 5% instant-kill, 25% skill-speed auras, damage reflection. Loadouts let you switch a combat kit, a gathering kit, and a backup with one tap. Durability matters. Repair matters. Choices matter.
Assemble I.D.L.E. from parts and you get a second skill queue running in parallel. He's sarcastic, he complains constantly, and he runs on Voidshine - a cross-skill endgame fuel that needs materials from combat, biology, and fabrication. Keep him fed and he grinds while you sleep.
The Nexus Drift is the co-op hub: 2-4 player expeditions, a server-wide world boss, and specialist jobs that pay weekly tokens. Raiders is the PvP side: pick a faction, raid other players, defend your colony, fight for territory. Both are completely optional - solo players lose nothing.
Offline progression is genuinely idle - skills work while the browser or Steam client is closed. A 17-track mastery system grants permanent passive bonuses every time you hit a milestone. Ship augments are a 110-level talent tree for fine-tuning your build. No energy timers, no stamina bars, no premium currency. Just progression.
Optional cosmetic supporter packs let you back the game and show off - exclusive titles, name effects, and profile flair. Cosmetic only, never power, never an advantage.
COMING TO STEAM.
A free demo dropped in May 2026 so you can try it before the full launch. Wishlist to get the exact date the moment it goes live.

v1.8.0: The Cantina - a whole arcade game just appeared in the void
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46096882/f0bfebe323dc12c99b0e72204787f267ac7ab5e6.jpg I was going to build a pub. Instead, one got found. The Cantina There is a new tab under Signals from Survivor 8: the Cantina. A stray signal, a pub much older than it has any right to be, crystal growing through the hull, bottles still full, nobody home. And in the corner stands an arcade cabinet that has no business still running. It does anyway. I.D.L.E. DEFENSE The cabinet plays I.D.L.E. DEFENSE, and I want to be clear about the size of this thing: it is a full idle tower defense game living inside Lost Vessel. Seven regions that mirror the descent you already know, Crash Site Perimeter down to the Hollow. Turret tiers with evolutions at the top, a skill tree, and a mine that keeps digging while the turrets hold the line. I.D.L.E. runs the tutorial, and he has opinions about your performance. Standalone progression, saved to your account, on any device. The Offering The machine does not take coins. One offering, a big pile of metal scrap or research accelerators of any tier, lights it for an hour, and the hour counts whether you play or let it idle inside the window. If it burns out mid-session, the machine goes dark right where you stand and takes another. Seven new achievements went up for it, titles included. Also in 1.8.0 Three new background music tracks. Full phone support for the cantina; the cabinet plays in landscape. Global chat now celebrates full seven-rift clears and completed Rift Feat sets. A stack of fixes, including the Galaxy chat ghost that congratulated people for forging Legendaries they had owned for weeks. Full notes are on the transmission board in the game. The machine is waiting. Bring scrap.Read full article on Community Announcements (Zim)AnnouncementsOfficial
Anomaly Runs - Full Release
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46096882/eccca5e1091cc992712cb24ab284155a7db7a3dd.jpg The planet tore open in seven places. Time to go down. Anomaly Runs is out of beta and fully live - the biggest single update Lost Vessel has shipped. This has been months in the making, shaped directly by everyone who ran the beta and told me what felt right and what did not. Thank you. This one is yours too. What Anomaly Runs is A run-based combat mode inside the idle game. You pick one of seven rifts - one beneath each zone, down to the seventh under The Hollow - and descend a shifting map of fights, hazards, choices and questions, deciding how much to risk at every step. At the bottom of every rift, something is holding the floor. Seven rifts, three levels each. Every level pays its reward bounty exactly once, scaled to its depth. No grinding one easy floor forever - the rewards live where the danger lives. Boss arenas. All seven tier bosses fight in fully staged 2.5D arenas, each with its own body, its own ground and its own moves. Normal fights can be watched in the arena too, or skipped instantly - your call. Bosses that disagree with you. Every boss has a distinct combat identity: weaknesses, resistances and status pressure drawn from its zone. One weapon type does not answer all seven fights. Build for the fight in front of you. Three dive charges a day - and a boss kill refunds its charge. Winning is free. Only the runs that beat you cost an attempt. The Rift Engine Loot is tunable. Calibration is a weekly meter you feed with Analysis data - the more stable the engine, the richer every dive that week. On top of that, every single dive can be tuned on the way in: Foresight scouts an extra row of the map, Bias the Rift skews the ground toward the kind of work you want to find, and Overcharge is the expensive one - a harder, elite-dense dive that guarantees a standout piece of gear if you survive to the bottom. Rift Feats The rift keeps a ledger of the things nobody sane would do in it. ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Zim)Patch NotesOfficial

This helps some very specific cases who otherwise have issues with the Chromium and Electron-wrapper. Thanks for playing Lost Vessel! Company - The I.D.L.E. Companion Update
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46096882/368e69946ec3187c192ba7bd5296be884ca2f2ad.png AUGUST 14, 2026 I.D.L.E. has left the room panel. If you have rebuilt him, he now floats over the station itself: drag him wherever you want him parked and he will hold that spot, bob in place, and keep you company while you work. He talks. He was always going to talk. He rambles on his own schedule, reacts to level-ups, forge results, crates and fresh finds, complains the moment the fuel runs out, leans in now and then to check what you are doing, and blinks exactly as often as a machine needs to, which is not often. Leave the station alone for a while and he falls asleep on the job. Click him for his menu: a Chatter switch if you want the company without the commentary, his skins, and a full power-down for the unsentimental. The new button in the top bar, the one shaped like his head, brings him back when you regret it. He also has a wardrobe now. Three outfits landed on the shop shelf: Housekeeping, a maid uniform he has strong feelings about and will share them, Fieldwork, a hat and a coat and a sudden confidence about where to dig, and Stowaway, something green that took root on his head and got to stay. One purchase dresses both of him, the floating companion and the unit in his room, and the two equip separately, so they can disagree about what to wear. Strictly cosmetic, as always. The room tab picked up its own skin picker under the robot while I was at it. The support shop got a floor plan. It opens on a homepage now: the newest drop showcased at the top, the four packs right under it, your live profile preview below that, and Drops, Gifting and Customize on their own tabs instead of one long scroll. Customize is new: interface colorway, loot burst, room skin, badge privacy and your Support Ladder all on one surface instead of scattered across the station. And when you already own part of a set, the set card now explains its price in plain words: what you paid comes off, and it says s...Read full article on Community Announcements (Zim)
