Necroforge v0.10.2 — Bob Reborn, Boss Attacks & Combat Polish
Version 0.10.2 is now live! This update completely rebuilds Bob's combat, gives the active bosses proper signature attacks, and delivers a focused round of character balance, physics, readability and end-game performance improvements. BOB — COMPLETE COMBAT REWORK • Orbiting Cleave replaces the old manually aimed sword attack. Bob's blade now flies around him in a full 360-degree arc, damaging enemies once per revolution while the camera remains unlocked. • Tempered Focus replaces Bob's old secondary attack. Bob stands his ground, rapidly restores stamina, reduces incoming damage and stores part of the health damage taken to empower his next cleave. • Breakthrough on Shift is a short defensive escape burst that parts nearby enemies without launching heavy units. • Added a dedicated Focus HUD bar, new golden charge feedback, updated poses and clearer character/control descriptions. • Optimized Orbiting Cleave for dense end-game hordes with a fixed, allocation-free hit queue and reduced hit-stop spam. BOSS ATTACKS & PRESENTATION • Quick Boss now telegraphs a locked dash lane before releasing a custom energy-lance charge with speed trails, afterimages, expanding impact rings and debris. • Zombie Boss PLAGUE is now a readable targeted curse with ritual rings, plague fangs, a moving sigil, necrotic wisps, a distorted tether and a toxic eruption on impact. • Increased PLAGUE anticipation from 0.35s to 0.85s for clearer counterplay without changing its damage or duration. • Boss spawn, teleport and enrage cues now have reliable fallback SFX. • Tank Boss has been temporarily removed from the active rotation while we rebuild its silhouette and abilities. Zombie and Quick remain active. BALANCE, MOVEMENT & PHYSICS • George now has a 2-second flight cooldown after landing, preventing near-permanent jump-to-flight loops. • Tightened George's late-game runaway scaling while preserving his glass-cannon mage identity and burst-focused Graveburst play. • Cap's Execution and terrain ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Sorontar)AnnouncementsOfficial
Necroforge: Outbreak v0.10.1 — Four Heroes, Expanded World & Balance Overhaul
Version 0.10.1 is our largest update so far. Since the previous public Steam release, Necroforge has grown from a single-character survival experience into a four-hero roguelite with radically different combat styles, a much larger six-biome world, dozens of polished relic interactions, new enemies, improved run analysis and a rebuilt online leaderboard. This update also includes a full roster balance pass based on automated battle simulations and telemetry from real player runs. Our goal was not to make every hero feel identical. Each one now has a much clearer strength, weakness and preferred way to survive. Four playable heroes Starting a new game now opens a full character-selection screen with authored hero artwork, 3D previews, role descriptions and comparable stats. Bob — the relentless survivor Bob remains the approachable melee fighter, but his role is now more focused: Medium damage and medium passive defense. High sustain through regeneration, life steal and close-range pressure. Reliable cleaving melee attacks that reward staying inside the horde. Defensive builds remain strong without returning to the effectively immortal setups seen in older versions. Updated progression, relic interactions, hit detection and heavy-enemy matchups. Bob should feel durable and forgiving, but still needs to keep fighting to recover. George — the airborne glass cannon George is a completely new ranged mage built around positioning and attack choice: Fires rapid arcane projectiles with LMB. Launches Graveburst projectiles with RMB for large area explosions. Uses mana instead of stamina, with dedicated upgrades, enhancers, HUD presentation and relic behavior. Can fly to create attack angles, cross terrain and escape dangerous clusters. Has high damage but low passive defense; poor positioning is intentionally dangerous. Projectile prediction and three-dimensional aiming allow attacks above and below the player. George performs best when alternating his two attacks according ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Sorontar)Patch NotesOfficial
