About this game
Bitroca is a decentralized sandbox where every action has a cost. In a world where resources are protected by high-level encryption, your success depends on your ability to process the environment around you. To break a tile, you don't just click—you allocate.
The Cost of Creation:
Unlike traditional builders, Bitroca utilizes a unique Resource Processing Mechanic. Every tile in the world requires a "Proof of Effort" to dismantle or craft. This isn't just a timer; it is a real-time calculation performed by your rig, simulating the raw energy required to reshape a digital frontier.
Key Features:
The Power Grid: You are in total control of your hardware. A small fraction of your CPU is designated to calculate the broken tiles within the main mining world. This only applies to real world cost in breaking a tile, and no other time. Despite this, there are other ways to progress without this implementation
Anti-Bot Ecosystem: Because every tile has a physical processing cost, the economy is naturally shielded from automated bots. In Bitroca, every item in your inventory represents a genuine moment of effort.
Decentralized Discovery: Explore a vast, player-driven world where the ledger is written by the community. Your "work" contributes to the stability and history of the realm.
Physics-Based Sandbox: Build, destroy, and trade in a world that respects the laws of digital thermodynamics.
Technical Note for Players: Bitroca uses a custom background-threading system to handle tile-encryption logic. This system is strictly in-game, contains no blockchain or cryptocurrency elements, and does not communicate with external financial networks. Your hardware works for you, and only for your progress within Bitroca.

BitRoca 0.0.9
▎ Bitroca v0.0.9 ▎ ▎ ✨ New ▎ - Cinematic intro for new miners — boot up the terminal, ride out to your world, and drop in ready to mine. It now ▎ plays before you arrive, as a proper opening rather than an overlay. ▎ - Block Validation viewer — open any block from the History Log to see its full record: blocks broken, transactions, ▎ and proof-of-work verification. ▎ - Doors — auto-opening doors, plus a door at spawn to step out into the world. ▎ ▎ 🔧 Improved ▎ - Forge Locks now read at a glance — green for worlds you own or are trusted in, yellow for everyone else. ▎ - Solid blocks are truly solid — no more clipping through placed blocks. ▎ ▎ 🐛 Fixed ▎ - Placing a block on an occupied spot no longer buries a second block in the background — it cleanly rejects and ▎ refunds you. ▎ - You now always spawn at your world's spawn point. ▎ - Closed an exploit in trading.Read full article on Community Announcements (Bruske)Patch NotesOfficial
🔨 BITROCA — Update 0.0.7
✨ NEW & IMPROVED • Pickaxes can now be TRADED and DROPPED! They're also permanent now — no more wearing out or breaking. Hand them to a friend, or drop one for someone to grab. • Persistent storage — items and blocks you drop now SAVE with the world. Stash your goods (even tuck them behind a placed block) and use them for storage or trading. They'll still be there when you come back. (Heads up: the Forge world still resets when a Forge Block is found, so keep anything you want to keep in your own worlds!) • CIPHER has been reborn as a molten lava golem — now with idle and walking animations as it roams the market. 🎨 NEW BLOCK ART • Fresh textures for Gold, Wood, Sand, Ruby, Bedrock, Iron, and Diamond. • Cleaned up a bunch of blocks that were rendering slightly too small — blocks now fill their tile properly for a consistent look. 🐛 FIXES • Fixed blocks vanishing (or turning into a background block) when placed on a tile that was already occupied. It's one block per tile now — press B if you want to place on the background layer on purpose.Read full article on Community Announcements (Bruske)Patch NotesOfficial
