September 3rd 2026 Patch Notes
It's been nearly a month since Early Access came out, thank you to all of you who've been with us up til now :). Arcade • Steam leaderboards! Hit Scores to see how you stack up against friends and the world • Fixed a Memory Matching lock-up and a grey-box fish in Guppy Fish Fish grades We've been slowly tuning grades since launch and we're now at a place that feels healthy. This time it's a small change aimed at new players: you'll see more variety in the grades you catch early on, without changing how long the full journal takes. Other • You can sort the bag by rarity or by grade • Fixed a lost fish when closing mid-catch, and stray invites from other games showing up on your pier Thanks for fishing!Read full article on Community Announcements (Peng-O-Labs)Patch NotesOfficial
August 24th, 2026 Patch Notes: Game Fish
It's been a week since the last update and two weeks since launch. Thank you so much for playing! Pacing We spent a good chunk of this last week on pacing. Even after our initial changes, we still felt the progression was a bit too easy and then too steep towards the end. We tuned some numbers so the progression should feel more gradual. You'll notice two new things in your journal. Each fish now has a Mastery that grows the more of that fish you catch, and the better you know a fish, the more of its grades you'll start reeling in. And if you've been at it a while without finding a grade you're missing, Grade Luck builds in your favor until it finally pays off. The catch will let you know when it does. Arcade The Arcade is open! Head to the new button on your sidebar for two games, Guppy Fish and Memory Matching. Play on your own or challenge someone at your pier with a right-click. Nothing in there pays FP, and your line stays in the water the whole time, so it's purely for fun and bragging rights. For now we have just the two games but we'll be observing to see how this feature plays out. Aquarium Right-click a fish in your Aquarium and make it your Champion. That's the fish you'll be using for any arcade games that require a model. For now, it's just Guppy Fish. UI Fixes • The Titles tab is now a grid you can actually browse, and you can pick your title right from your profile card • Renaming a fish while a catch came in could blank the panel • Profile portraits were blurrier than your character on the dock • The right-click player menu now shows in your language • Full docks no longer vanish from the pier browser Thanks for fishing!Read full article on Community Announcements (Peng-O-Labs)Patch NotesOfficial
Safe Harbor
It's been officially one week since launch! Thank you so much for playing and showing your support. Here are today's patch notes! Aquarium The Aquarium seemed to be a popular addition so we gave it the respect it deserves. It now lives in its own tab on the profile card rather than crammed under the stats, so you can truly show off your impressive collection. • You can now name the fish in your aquarium. Click one, hit the pencil, and that Bluegill is Bailey from now on. Visitors see the name too. UI / ReadabilityWe really like the cozy aesthetic and the coloring, but balancing that with readability, especially at this window size, has been quite the challenge. For now, we've toned down some of the text and put an outline behind the colorful bits so you don't have to strain your eyes. If it's still too hard to read, or if you feel it's lost some of its charm, please let us know your thoughts!• Some text was hard to read on the cream panels: journal rarity headers, the bag's info strip, a few grade letters. Fixed• Profile titles now show their tier color and appear in your language• Fixed some issues where higher frame rates rendered parts of the UI incorrectly• Previously, we added a border around the window while moving it so you could see where you'd end up. While we thought this was a nice QOL change, we also felt it took away from the visuals of your smooth ride as you relocated. Now the border only shows while you're moving the window near the edge of your screen. Titles • Titles were slightly adjusted so their rarity actually matches how hard they are to get, and there are a few new ones to chase, including some for fishing with friends. Get flexing! Note: the titles you already have were not affected. Fixes • Names with accents, symbols or CJK characters were coming through as garbage in chat and on nameplates. They read correctly now • Upgrading your bag now updates your FP in the open panel right away, instead of looking free until your next catch Saves We ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Peng-O-Labs)Patch NotesOfficial
Bragging Rights
Your journal, your gear, and everything you've bought are untouched. Aquarium The big feature of this patch. You can now show off your best catches instead of selling them. • Right-click a catch and send it to your Aquarium. It leaves your bag and frees the slot • Start with a fish bowl and grow into a proper tank. Bigger vessels hold more fish to brag about, and you can name yours • Click a fish in your aquarium to see its full story • Visit a friend's aquarium from their profile and see what they've been hoarding • Not enough? Right-click any catch and Show in Chat to brag about it right there on the dock • Changed your mind? Release a fish and you get its full FP value, same as selling. It asks first, and asks louder if it's a Legendary UI / QOL Some UI adjustments were made. • The exit button was previously hidden if Show Background was enabled. It now shows over the background. We hate to see you go, but we won't force you to stay by hiding the exit button! • Slight borders around the window when moving or resizing. Who had difficulty resizing their window with background off? Because we sure did. • Shop renamed to Tackle. Gear moved here as well so you buy and equip everything in one place • Bag renamed to Catches. Your Aquarium lives here too Fixes • Players sometimes showed up without their outfits. They get them now • A handful of things that were cut off or showing raw text We've already got more features actively in the works, but we're always fishing for ideas :) Any requests? Comment them here or post in Discussions.Read full article on Community Announcements (Peng-O-Labs)Patch NotesOfficial
Day 4 Patch Notes - Pier Chums
• A few new achievements added to give players some additional goals, including usage of chums • Docks are public by default now. Existing players' settings will not change. This can easily be changed back to private or friends only but we are making this change in hopes of a more social fishing experience. • Update friends list and browse tab more frequently to show stale data less often • Fixed infinite chum bugRead full article on Community Announcements (Peng-O-Labs)
