About this game

Tileburg is a tile-placement game. Place a variety of terrain and buildings on the landscape to score points. Each tile type has direct placement effects as well as powerful combos that can be triggered as soon as the conditions are right.

The city grows on its own! Each turn, the city expands onto a random tile, blocking certain spaces and triggering more combos. Achieving the construction of large and well-developed cities is crucial, as it allows special abilities which earn a lot of points, like taxes, the city walls, diplomacy, etc...

The continuous progression system allows you to unlock new tiles, larger kingdoms to play, and more.
Increase your progression level and improve your highscore to reach the top of the player leaderboard.
Optimize your game with special tiles.
The effects and combos are hidden at the start. Discover them all as you play.
More developed cities unlock new abilities that generate more points, like taxation, city walls, diplomacy, etc... Successfully developing your city in both size and density is crucial.
Building cities is also part of the game's story. Your companion Kolak will help you with this task.
Beautiful 2D tiles designed by a human.
Create enchanting landscapes in a shimmering medieval fantasy world.

update 0.69.1
Tileburg is a game which encourages players to experiment and discover the best combos and combinations. However, access to information should remain convenient. Today's changes reflect this:- Added 2 tabs to the deck view screen:DISCOVERED TILES: to see all tiles discovered and used at least once in a gameTERRAINS: to see... the different terrain types- Added a line to the tooltip of tiles which are the result of an evolution. The line indicates the tile of origin. Some players were surprised to find their discovered effects and combos reset by the previous update. I've revised the save and load code to make it more robust. Please report any issues. Releasing the demo allows me to refine the game and uncover some previously undetected problems, so all feedback is valuable! Thanks to everyone who has played, commented, left a review, or added the game to their Steam wishlist. The game has almost 1500 wishlists, thank you all!Read full article on Community Announcements (Rascasse Games)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 0.68.5
Patch Notes:Please note that there are quite a few changes. If you encounter a new bug after the update, please report it. It's also possible that discovered combos will be reset; I will work to prevent this in the future if it happens.Player ControlI've updated the game to refine certain mechanics and give players more control over the flow of a match. While randomness still needs to be managed effectively, some elements felt TOO random. Here are the changes:The meteor crater now remains for 3 turns. During this time, the player can play on top of it, but the city CANNOT grow there.Drawing a second identical card is less frequent. The weighting for cards that would be duplicates in your hand if drawn is reduced to 50%.Using the volcano guarantees drawing a new, different card, if possible.CropsOptimized crops now count towards the "line of 3" calculation.Crops optimized by one mill can be used by a second mill for its own combo.MiscellaneousThe leaderboard now scrolls to the player. The sound power scale in the options menu has been revised for a wider range.Read full article on Community Announcements (Rascasse Games)Patch NotesOfficial

Tileburg free demo is available !
Hello !The free demo of Tileburg is now available to play. While this is the result of a lot of work, it has also been incredibly fun to do. I'm a solo dev and this is my first game on Steam. I really hope you will like it.Here's a video of The Geek Cupboard, who seemed to like the game (huge thanks for covering the game): The demo will take you to the level 8. After that, you can continue to play, discover the combos you missed so far, and try to improve your highscore to make your way to the top of the leaderboard. The game will participate in Steam Neo-fest in June, which will hopefully draw some attention on it. Fingers crossed !What you can do to help if you will:Wishlist the game, it is powerfulLeave a Steam review of the demo, describe what you like and dislike, so I can make the game better for the full releaseUse the community discussions to describe any bug you might encounter. What you can expect for full release:More levels and tiles of course. The number is not fixed yet, as I'm still experimenting with the later stages of the gameNew features like the city walls, simple diplomacy and battle (under the form of special tiles/combos), etc… More fleshed out game storyThe full game should release in Q4 2026, hopefuly. Thanks for reading, and now please try to rebuild the world, tile after tile. =)Rascasse GamesRead full article on Community Announcements (Rascasse Games)
