Your building an OIL EMPIRE BUSINESS in an empty island full of OIL. Suck the island dry, build lots of oil factories, produce LOTS of Oil Barrels and sell them to different countries to earn LOTS and LOTS of Moneeeeey!!!
You start empty with just basic tools. You chop wood, break rocks, and dig flowing oils on ground. You then build warehouses, oil wells, and factories to start producing oil barrels.
HIRE WORKERS and AUTOMATE THINGS Like a BOSS!
Hire different workers from oil haulers, wood choppers, and rock miners! Each worker needs shelter so you better give them proper care that they deserve.
CHOP, MINE, and BUILD!
The island is not just rich in oil, but in trees, rocks, and other materials as well! Use them to your advantage and build things to improve your grind!

Is Oil Island Hustle still in active development?
Hey everyone! ːsteamhappyːI'm sorry I've been quiet lately, especially about the demo update I mentioned before, so I wanted to give a proper update on what has been happening with Oil Island Hustle. The demo update became much bigger than I originally planned. What started as a smaller update eventually turned into a much larger rework of the game. I've been improving and adding a lot of systems so the demo can better represent what I want the full game to be. Some of the things I've been working on include: A revamped island and worldA new way to trade money....through stocks??....hmmExpanded oil production and processingMore Physical barrels you can carry and move aroundNew Workers and automationNew buildings and production chainsEnvironmental mechanicsA redesigned building system and UINew NPCs and interactionsMore content that I'll share soon 👀 Because the scope became much larger, the update is taking longer than I originally expected. The past few months have also been pretty overwhelming for me outside of game development, so progress has been slower than I wanted. For now, I also don't want to announce another release date until I'm confident that the update is ready. Development is still active, and I'll start sharing more screenshots, features, and progress updates again. Also some good news I want to share.....Oil Island Hustle has officially signed with a publisher! 🎉 I can't reveal who the publisher is yet, so that will stay a secret for now. Big Changes Coming!
Hey Fam, I apologize I wasn't able to give new updates since the Steam Next Fest. I got bombarded with lots of real life work lately and I am happy that I got to chance to announce something new today! After reading all of your feedback and reflecting on the game myself, I'm happy to share that a lot of major changes are coming this July! My goal is to have these changes playable in a new demo update during the second or third week of July. What changes am I excited to talk about? Here are the following things to be looking forward to in the next demo update: Oil production has been simplified!Instead of connecting Oil Wells to Refineries to produce oil, you'll now build Oil Drills, which instantly produce oil.The Global Market has been redesigned!The old Global Market system has been replaced with a single Stock Market. Every 30–50 seconds, the resale value of oil fluctuates between Poor and High.Island expansion is here!The old single island is gone! You'll now start on a small island and gradually expand by purchasing new islands. Each new island will feature a random biome, including Forest, Desert, Tundra, or Volcanic.Loans are more interesting!Paying back loans now includes additional time pressure, making financial decisions much more exciting.Digging has been removed.Since Oil Drills no longer require digging, that mechanic has been removed. Your shovel is now used to demolish existing buildings instead.Buildings now only cost money!No more collecting extra resources just to construct buildings.No more warehouse deposits!Anything you collect is now automatically added to your storage.Oil Wells and the old Oil Refinery have been removed. They've been replaced with a brand-new Oil Drill system, and I'll be sharing more information about the new Oil Refinery soon.Workers are getting a complete redesign!I can't reveal exactly how they'll work just yet, but stay tuned! I really appreciate it so much! ːsteamhappyː Small Update v.1.1 Demo Thank you for all the feedback on the first day of the demo release. Many of you felt that the gameplay was too pixelated, and I agree. It was a bit too much. Right now, I added a new option in the settings where you can set the strength of the pixel so you can adjust it to your liking!
