About this game

In Plumber Simulator, you step into the boots of a plumber running a modest business of his own. No dirty job is too much for you, and only you can save every home from flooding when the city’s aging sewer system starts to fail.

One phone call and you are always on site — ready to handle any breakdown, although sometimes you might be tempted to fix it on the cheap… Well, you’ve got to have that business instinct after all.

The city’s sewer network is outdated, and almost every day another pipe begins to leak, or even bursts under the pressure. It’s up to you to locate the source of the problem and stop the water flow as quickly as possible before the entire house gets flooded.

Every installation is made up of small parts that you can inspect up close. Using the right tools, you will be able to dismantle and disconnect them, remove faulty components, and decide what should replace the damaged parts of the system.

Copper, steel, or plastic? The choice of pipe is yours, and each type requires a different approach and specialized tools. Old steel pipes need sealing and tightening, copper ones call for a torch, and plastic pipes are glued together or joined with a heat welder.

Designing and installing a pipe network is no easy task. To create a clean and efficient system, you’ll first need to measure the space and then choose the correct pipe dimensions. Various fittings, valves, and tools will help you guide the flow exactly where it needs to go.

Once you’ve renovated their bathroom, clients may even trust you with the interior design. Choose the right fixtures and arrange their home oasis of comfort while staying within the proposed budget.

The job may be dirty, but the money you earn certainly won’t be.

Dev #12 - Plumber Simulator Leaks

Hey there. plungers!Another vlog, another little topic to talk about. And today, we’re coming back to my favorite subject - PIPES. Ahh... What a beautiful word for a plumber. Music to my ears.Since the last time, we’ve made a few changes. Remember when one of the lads mentioned the valve? (If you don’t, get yourself over to Devlog #9!) That’s the little handle that shuts off the water supply. Before you start working on the pipes, you should find one of these and turn it off. That way you won’t flood half the bathroom, you muppets! But where do you find these valves? Do you think you’ll have to cut open every single wall until you eventually find them? Haha! That would be bloody ridiculous! You need to look for access panels. They’re those little white doors in the wall. Once you find one and open it... TADAAAAM**!** You’ve found the valves! One valve is for hot water (red pipe), and the other is for cold water (blue pipe). Simple. These little doors are your starting point before doing any work on the pipes! Don’t forget about them, you muppets! On top of that, the lads have added leaks. If your pipes aren't properly crimped, they'll start leaking. You'll see little drops of water dripping from the pipes. But watch out! That's a bad sign!To fix them quickly, you need to tighten the rings (those metal rings around the ends of the pipes) and... Boom! Done! No more leaks! They’ve also added holes in the pipes! Water escapes from these pipes in a small stream, and - oh no! - there goes our pressure. As you can see in the picture, there’s a little hole in the pipe. But how are you supposed to find a hole or a leak when everything is hidden inside the walls? Are we going to have to cut open every wall we come across again? Well, no... The lads have come to your rescue and added water stains on the walls. When a pipe is leaking behind a wall, a stain will appear on the other side. That gives you a nice little clue about where the problem is. Simply cut open the wall in that spot...

Dev #11 - Mi casa es su casa

Hey there, plungers!I’m back! Your favorite, incredible plumber! You thought I’d disappeared, didn’t ya? ‘Cause what? A man can’t go on holiday now? You know where I went? Actually, better question - where didn’t I go? Haha! You can’t imagine how good it feels to be back on my old turf... Or, in the case of our game - to my brand-new, freshly built house. My house. So today, we’re gonna have a little look around. This here is my place:My home isn’t just some ordinary place. This is going to be your base, where you’ll come back for new jobs and, most importantly, rest after a hard day’s work. Trust me, you’ll be visiting my place plenty of times throughout the game. So, come on in! Just take your shoes off first! The garage is the most important place in the game, because this is where you’ll be able to store your tools, pipes, materials, and also access a special laptop with your map, jobs, clients, and all that good stuff. Tell me that doesn’t look like a plumber’s paradise! On the other side, you’ll find your fancy ride... Its mighty four-wheel drive will take you straight to your customers’ front doors. I’ve heard some rumors that you’ll be able to load your gear into it too, but we’ll see about that. For now, those are all the most important parts of your home. Trust me, you’ll be seeing plenty more of this beautiful garage. And who knows... maybe you’ll even be able to decorate it yourself someday? But shhh... I never said that. 🤫But what kind of home would it be if there was nowhere to eat, wash up, or sleep? So, let’s head inside. The hallway? Elegant and simple, just like a simple and elegant man. On the left - my bed. Nice and clean. Neat and tidy. On the right - the bathroom... Well, maybe it’s a little less clean in here. But remember!I fix bathrooms**, I don’t clean them!** Besides, pfff... referees don’t play the game, right?Further inside, we’ve got a proper, elegant kitchen, a little living room, a table, and... My dinner from yesterday. They actually make ...

Dev #10 - From Box to Sink

Hello, plungers! Our plumber is still on holiday, so I’m back again to satisfy your curiosity after the last devlog. We ended it with two questions: “How will the water be connected to the sink and faucet, and how will the faucet reflect changes in water flow?”. And that’s exactly what we’re going to cover today.Let’s start with how you actually place a sink in the first place. We spent quite a bit of time thinking about how to introduce a sink into the game world. We didn’t want to use the existing furniture-moving mechanic (see Devlog #8). We felt that combining these two mechanics could make it confusing to tell when you want to just move a fixture and when you want to connect water to it. So we came up with the idea of adding a special package. Yes. A package.Inside this package is our sink, all packed up and ready to go. Once you’re holding it, you can walk up to the wall and a transparent model of two small pipes will appear in front of you along with a white, cube-shaped outline of the sink. When you press the left mouse button, the box will be placed. But wait... Where’s the sink? We’ll get to that in a moment. The next step is connecting the pipes. We’ve added an important feature to our wall-pipe system: two different types of pipes: blue for cold water and red for hot water. Pretty intuitive, right? Just like fire and water. Exactly like in real life. But don’t worry - you won’t get burned. ;) (yet)Now you need to connect the blue and red pipes to the two angle valves outside the wall. The mechanics for placing and connecting the pipes work exactly the same way as before (see Devlogs #5 and #6).Once you’ve done that, you can hover over our box again and hold the left mouse button. Once the little loading circle around your cursor fills up... BOOM. TADAAAAM! The sink magically appears! It's possible that in the future, the assembly of each piece of equipment will consist of several consecutive steps, but for now, the magic will have to do.But we’re not done ye...

Dev #9 - There will be water

Hello, “plungers”!Today's devlog will be hosted by me - one of the "lads" working on Plumber Simulator - because we're going to dive into the design side of the game. And what better topic to start with than the one thing no plumber could ever work without? That's right - water. More specifically, we'll take a look at how we designed our water system to account for all the different plumbing setups that you, the players, will be able to create. Before we begin, let's quickly go over a few basic plumbing terms that will help explain how our system works (simplifying them for the purpose of the game):Pressure – the force that drives water through the pipesFlow Rate – the amount of water passing through a pipe per unit of timeVolume – the amount of water that can be contained inside a pipeResistance – how much pressure is lost as water travels through the pipesThese four concepts form the foundation of our simulation. Our first goal was to answer one important question: how should the way you build your pipe network affect water flow? We wanted the system to behave as realistically as possible while avoiding complex calculations that would make your PC work harder than your plumber. So, how did we design our water system? The biggest trick is that our water doesn't actually flow through the pipes physically. Well, each pipe fitting and pipe triggers the corresponding water VFX only at the points where water flows out. Thanks to this trick, we avoid complex, difficult calculations without sacrificing realism. To clearly communicate changes in flow, we designed the water effects so that stronger flow produces a more powerful stream. Our goal was to make these transitions feel both realistic and responsive to every change in the plumbing system. So what actually affects the flow? Our simulation currently takes several factors into account:Pipe length and diameter – the longer and narrower the pipe, the more pressure is lost along the way. In pipes with the same flow rate water...

Dev #8 - I like to move it, move it

Hey there, plungers!Another week, another devlog! And today’s topic... Bathroom decorating!I bet the first thing that went through those thick heads of yours was: "What does a plumber have to do with decorating bathrooms?!" Well, turns out this "bathroom decorating" mechanic is actually here to help you organize your workplace.Imagine this: you walk into a bathroom and you need to install a washing machine. How are you supposed to reach the inlet at the back? Or another situation - you need to cut a hole in the wall to reach a pipe, but then a cabinet is blocking your way. You gotta move it, right? And that's exactly what the lads made. You can now move washing machines, toilets, sinks - all those proper plumbing essentials - as well as all kinds of furniture. Of course, you can also "decorate" bathrooms... Think of it as a nice, relaxing little reward after all your incredibly hard work. Something pleasant before you finish the job. You can place flowers, furniture, pictures, and all sorts of other things. Pick whatever you like!So how does it work? Very simple.Down at the bottom, you've got those little squares. Click the fourth one, choose the gloves and - you're not gonna believe me - you've got the glove on your hand. It gives you a special power: you can now move objects around. Walk up to whatever you want, press the mouse button, and boom - the furniture follows you. Look around for where you want to put it, and it'll move right along with you. Before you put it down, though, watch out for the red color. That means something is blocking the placement. Just move it somewhere else. You can also rotate objects. When you've got an object "in your hand," use the button in the middle of the mouse - the scroll thing? Scroller? Whatever it's called - and move it up or down. Boom.Besides furniture, you can also move paintings and other things hanging on the walls. They stick to the wall and can only be placed there. I mean, obviously... What could a painting be doing on...
