About this game

Tiny Idle is an auto-battler idle roguelike where your army fights on its own - Play fully in the background! Recruit units, collect loot, upgrade your forces, and push deeper through endless waves of increasingly dangerous enemies.

Recruit and Upgrade Your Army Start with basic melee pawns and archers, then unlock a growing roster of specialized units. Train Healers to keep your front line alive, Tanks to absorb hits, and eventually promote them into powerful Tier 2 classes - Paladins that heal while fighting, Druids with AoE healing auras, Berserkers that hit harder as they take damage, and Knights that shield nearby allies.

Discover Powerful Special Units As you progress, you'll encounter and unlock 13+ special unit types with unique abilities: Pyromaniac fire mages, Venomancers with poison DOT, Necromancers that raise skeletons, Warlords with devastating AoE slams, chain-lightning Stormcallers, and more - including a massive Troll Boss that swings with knockback before recovering.

Collect and Forge Items Open chests between waves to find items across 6 rarity tiers - from Common all the way up to Mythical. Items boost your army's HP, damage, speed, crit chance, healing, gold income, and more. Sacrifice Legendary items in the Forge for a chance at game-changing Mythics like Sheep's Call (turns pawns into exploding sheep) or Necro Grip (makes your healers summon skeletons). Combine Mythics in the Special Forge to create "The Caller" - an item of a rarity beyond Mythical: Not of this World.

Deep Progression Systems Spend gold on upgrades across multiple tabs: unlock new unit types, buff your minions' stats, improve your economy, or invest in Ascension bonuses that persist across runs. Level up your commander to choose powerful perks. Stack crit chains with the Luck stat for massive damage spikes.

Idle-Friendly Design Your army auto-spawns, auto-targets, and auto-attacks - watch the battle unfold or step in to manage upgrades, item decisions, and forge choices. Designed to run in the corner of your screen while you do other things, but with enough depth to actively engage when you want.

    v0.1.5.7 Patch Notes

v0.1.5.7 Patch Notes New Feature: Card Packs Added a new Packs tab in the shop with four tiers: Low, Mid, High, and Special Opening a pack grants a temporary stat buff (Crit, Speed, Heal, Gold, DR) that lasts between 1-2 hours depending on tier Higher tier packs have a chance to spawn an elite unit that fights alongside your army Elite units from packs are on a 3-wave contract: they respawn at the start of each wave for 3 waves, then expire Special packs cost Ascension Coins and guarantee an elite unit with the strongest buffs The Packs tab is visible before your first ascension but locked until you ascend once Pack opening features a 3-phase animation: shake, split, and explode with tier-colored particles Leaderboard Improvements Highest Wave and High Score now display in their own separate bordered boxes Each section scrolls independently. Scrolling the Wave box no longer moves the Score list Entries are properly clipped to stay inside their section box and no longer bleed past headers Works on both Friends and Global tabs UI Polish Added a Buff column to the stat breakdown panel showing active temporary buff percentages Stat panel widened to fit the new column cleanly Unified UI colors across panels using a consistent theme (shop, stats, packs all match now) Consistent font sizing across all overlay panels Under the Hood Extracted shared stat bonus calculation into a helper function, removing 30+ duplicated lines across 7 spawn functions All unit base stats (HP, damage, size, speed, range, cooldown) now live in a single lookup table instead of scattered switch cases Adding or tuning a unit type only requires changing one row in the table Binary save format bumped to version 13 for pack contract data Minor build warning fixes

Chest Overhaul & Slot Machine Boost

Chest Overhaul & Slot Machine Boost Chest System Rework Chests now stack up and display a red notification badge in the top right corner showing how many are waiting to be opened. Opening a chest launches a spinning wheel that cycles through items with smooth deceleration before landing on your prize. Colorful confetti bursts across the screen when the wheel stops. After the wheel lands you are presented with TAKE to add the item to your inventory or EXPEL to trade it for XP based on rarity. If your inventory is full you can click an existing item to sell it and make room. Bug Fixes Fixed a bug where the chest icon would permanently show 1 chest remaining even after opening. The counter now correctly decrements and the icon disappears when no chests are pending. Slot Machine: Boost System The Slot Machine now features a BOOST ODDS button that costs 5 additional ascension coins per spin. Activating it significantly increases your chances of rolling Captain Chomps and Stabby McSpear on the reels. Once a special unit is unlocked through the slots it is permanently removed from the reel pool so you never waste a roll on something you already have. When both units are unlocked the boost button is replaced with a completion message.

    Patch 0.1.4.1 — Events & Resilience

Patch 0.4.0 - Events & Resilience Crash Recovery The game no longer closes when encountering errors. If Steam crashes, it gets disabled for the session and the game keeps running normally. Crash details are logged to tiny_idle_crash.log for debugging. Event System (Scaffolding) A new rainbow EVENT button appears on the right side of the screen when an event is loaded. Events use real-world UTC timestamps so every player sees the same countdown no matter when they update. Upcoming events show a "Starts In" countdown with a preview of reward tiers. Events auto-transition from Upcoming to Active when the start time is reached. Active events display time remaining, wave progress, score, and kills. Event gameplay is not yet playable. This is the foundation for future updates. Global Leaderboard The leaderboard overlay now has Friends and Global tabs. Global tab shows the Top 10 players and your nearby ranks (5 above, 5 below). Duplicate entries are filtered out when your rank overlaps with the top 10. Event Configuration Tool Added a command-line tool for creating events with custom timing, enemy scaling, wave limits, and reward tiers. Outputs an event config that the game reads on launch. Build Fixes Dev-only files are now automatically removed from the release folder. Fixed a build script crash caused by nested parentheses.
