About this game
Flakeparty is a relaxing roguelike deckbuilder where you build the perfect cereal bowl and score insane amounts of points.
Customize your breakfast by starting with different cereal boxes or weird spoons.
Trigger delicious combos.
Collect quirky cereals, each with its own unique effect.
Earn toys by playing rule-twisting minigames
Eat tasty snacks to help along the way as you reach the highest points!
Each run you'll have to complete the rounds to win, and to win you need enough points!
Normal rounds consist of drawing cereals from your cereal box into a bowl of milk, precisely setting the trajectory of your spoon and get the cereals you want.
Once you collect them, you'll be able to position them freely to best make use of their effects and score as many points as you can!
Mr. Bowl knows how to organize a party, so he prepared special minigames that use the very same cereal you have in your box!
Minigames could be anything, memory cards or even throwing darts, as long as they use your own cereals!
After each minigame, you'll gain a special toy!
They are passive items that allow you to gain even more points!
You start each run with the same cereals, but they don't have to stay the same!
During your run you'll discover new cereals and toys, and you choose which one you get, or even none if you want so!
Each run is different, and you choose your rewards!
You want more toys? Choose the path with more minigames!
You want more cereals? Choose the path with more cereal bowl rounds!
You have a lot of money? Pass by Mr. Bowl's shop and spend them there!
Be careful though, at the end, an extra difficult boss round is waiting for you, so prepare accordingly! They add a game modifier to make it more difficult to score points, like disabling your cereals!
Each round you'll gain UP, Upgrade Points!
Use them to buy upgrades to better your chances to finish the game, like getting more draws per round, more money, increasing your cereals' worth, or even their effects!

Update on the release date
Greetings Hungry Cereal Eaters, it's been a while and I come with bad(-ish?) news. With one month left before the scheduled release in September, we've come to the realization that we don't have enough time to add all the polish, knickknacks, doodads and content the game needs before release, and it wouldn't be in the state we envisioned. So, we've decided that the best course of action is setting back the date by quite some time... by releasing the 18th of November! Why are we delayingWe have a quite ambitious number of cereals we want to add (just 2 of us, hundreds of them!), alongside lots of new toys and snacks, all in need of balancingWe reworked the upgrade tree, which now has to play nice with all the other cerealsAll the tiny but experience-defining changes that make a fun and enjoyable game experience (animations, sounds, effects)We are really sorry for the delay, and hope with the extra time we can make the best game we are able to!We advise temporarily substituting your breakfast due to lack of cereals in the coming months. The Playtest is still planned for today, worst case scenario it starts tomorrow. So don't worry if you are not getting access yet, you will :).Read full article on Community Announcements (PumaDev)Patch NotesOfficial
Demo Update #2
Hello everyone!A bit later than intended, but here we are! We've implemented all of the game's mechanics we wanted, added some new cereals, reworked some interfaces and systems, fixed some bugs and then added some more!Feedback also revealed that minigames haven't been received very well, so we rethought their design principles and reworked them.NewSpoonsNow you can use different spoons in the game! They come in different shapes and behave somewhat differently...Unlock/Progression SystemSome cereals, decks and spoons are now locked behind a quest that has to be completed before that cereal can be found naturally in the game! When you unlock cereals though, they will be guaranteed to be found in the next cereal bag you open!Scoring SystemChanged how cereals generate points, instead of each one of them individually producing a score, often resulting in having to concentrate all effects/bonuses on one single cereal and ignoring the rest, now each of them still do the same calculations, but keep separate base points and multipliers (conveniently called MULT) that are then added to the whole round's score. At the end of the scoring phase, the actual points are calculated and considered towards the targetGame ModesMr. Bowl now offers multiple ways to play with cereals, and one of them is a Cereal Only mode! You can choose Serial Cereal mode before starting a run, and you will encounter no minigames and won't have to choose your path on the map.Instead, you will simply alternate between cereal rounds, events, shops and bosses in endless mode!New CerealsWe've upped the cereal count from 27 to 52, though most of them are locked behind questsAdded2 legendairies6 rares8 uncommons9 commonsThis new legendairy is my favoriteCereal TerritoriesAlongside the reworked minigames, we've also added a new one, which hopefully is more in line with the game's flow and won't have the same problems as the other minigames!Draw 4 differently colored cereal cards in your hand. All feedback is welcome! And now, let us allow Mr. Bowl go back to cooking!Read full article on Community Announcements (Chaotic Koala)Patch NotesOfficial
