About this game

Control doesn't need violence anymore - scanners, rank systems, and the quiet threat of being locked out - that's what keeps people obedient. In Synapse City, emotional score determines everything: where you live, who you see, what doors open, and when it is time to change your lifestyle.

You are a former Synapse engineer who knows exactly how the machine works, but that doesn't mean you know how to survive it.

Feel too much in the wrong direction, connect with the wrong people, become lonely or poor - and the city will notice.

Trying to maintain the lifestyle assigned by the system, you will have to do whatever's left of your instincts to keep the mental score stable. Rely on emotional stimulants or dangerous connections if nothing else is left; steal forbidden code in an attempt to survive the system; let someone get close enough to matter. In Synapse City, satisfaction becomes value, but desire without it becomes frustration, and it is just another thing the system can use against you.

Features

  • Navigate a cyberpunk city where emotional state is a currency and a liability.

  • Let your life go down or climb up - any outcome uncovers a path.

  • Build relationships and experience emotions that affect your rank and your safety.

  • Make choices - every decision shapes who you become.

  • Manage stress, loneliness, poverty, desire, and satisfaction in a system designed to use all of it against you.

  • Uncover the truth behind the city's control in one of multiple endings.
