About this game

Suspicious powers always leave traces behind in the mansion.

Who Haunts The Haunters? is a social deduction game set in an East Asian-inspired occult mansion. Do not trust words or movements alone. Listen for strange sounds, watch the candles and shadows, and examine traces left on corrupted objects to expose the Intruders hiding among the Ghosts.

Ghosts must complete missions and purify corrupted mission objects and offering tables to restore Spiritual Stability to 100%. Intruders must corrupt missions and offering tables, use Vanish on Ghosts, and drive Spiritual Stability down to 0% to trigger the Ahgwi Night Hunt.

Whenever an Intruder uses Curse or Vanish, or corrupts a mission or offering table, their Taint rises. Ringing in your ears, gusts of wind, animal cries, flickering candles, distorted shadows, and whispers of vengeful spirits can reveal that someone with high Taint is nearby.

Purifying a corrupted object leaves a trace for a short time. Investigate it to open a Trace Report Meeting. During the meeting, players vote to designate a Watch Target. If the Watch Target interacts with a mission object or uses a suspicious power, the action is added to the Watch Record and revealed at the next Trace Report Meeting.

Once the required conditions have been met and the Ghosts are confident, they can begin a Judgment Ritual to accuse a suspected Intruder. If the accusation is correct, the accused is eliminated. If an innocent Ghost is accused or the vote ends without a decision, the Ghost who began the Judgment Ritual pays the price and is eliminated instead.

When only one Ghost and one Intruder remain, the Ghost may offer three ritual materials at the altar to activate the Final Purification Ritual. Stay alive while the ritual gradually restores Spiritual Stability.

When Spiritual Stability reaches 0%, the Ahgwi Night Hunt begins. Missions and meetings become unavailable, and the remaining Ghosts must hide or run until the final hunt ends.

Do not trust words alone. Read the traces left behind in the mansion.

The game requires at least 3 players. 5 players are recommended.

    [Patch Notes] v3.0.0 Update

Hello, developers here.I apologize for the delay—I missed uploading the announcement earlier, but game update v3.0.0 is now live. In this update, we have removed the Quick Match feature and introduced a Single Player mode, along with character customization options.Major UpdateRemoval of Quick Match & Addition of Single Player Mode: Due to a low player count, the Quick Match feature was practically going unused. Therefore, we have boldly removed it and added a Single Player mode so that players can enjoy the game solo. Because this game requires two interacting roles to function properly, the current single-player mode is still unfinished in terms of gameplay depth—specifically, the lack of an Impostor role makes it less tense. We plan to enhance the experience by adding elements that build tension, crafting mechanics, and expanding the paranormal phenomenon system.Daily Quests, Shop, and Character Customization: Players can now earn in-game currency by completing quests through either single-player or multiplayer sessions. This currency can be used in the shop to purchase costumes and customize characters. In the official full release, we plan to provide a custom skin editor tool.Bug Fixes & ImprovementsYard Map Added: Previously, activities were restricted strictly to the interior of the mansion, but players can now access the yard via the main wooden porch (daecheongmaru). While there is currently no significant gameplay content in the yard, it will be updated in the future to serve as a resource-gathering zone for crafting.Tutorial Adjustments: Most of the basic tutorial process is now complete. Advanced elements—such as experiencing all paranormal phenomena, learning annihilation skill conditions, and crafting recipes—are not included. We intend for players to naturally learn or utilize these aspects within Single Player mode rather than adding them to the tutorial. The current state of the game still falls short of my personal standards, which is why I have app...

Release Date Postponed (Targeting around September 4th)

Hello everyone, dev here. I'm writing to share an update regarding a problem with our scheduled release on the 28th. Due to an issue during the build review process, it looks like it won't be approved by Friday, so I have to delay the release. I'm really sorry about this. As soon as the build gets approved, I'm planning to launch right away—hopefully within about a week, so before September 4th at the latest. If this review happens to get rejected again, it could potentially push the schedule back by another 2 weeks, though the chances of that are pretty low. Right now, the main difference between the full version and the demo is just the custom skins, so playing the demo is more than enough to enjoy the game without any issues. Because of this, I actually don't recommend purchasing the official version just yet. The single-player mode also still lacks a bit of tension, and things like item effects and in-game polish are areas I plan to keep working on and improving. Thank you so much to everyone who has been waiting, and I'll do my best to get everything ready and see you soon. Thank you

[Patch Notes] v2.0.0 Update (Major System Overhaul, Bug Fixes & Improvements)

Hello, developers hereIn this v2.0.0 update, we have introduced major system changes and supplemented the tutorial to fit the new mechanics.Major UpdateRepair Mission Added: Instead of clearing existing minigames to restore stability, a new mission has been added where you use repair items to fix damaged floors inside the mansion. We plan to move away from difficult or time-consuming minigames and shift toward maintenance mechanics like repairing or cleaning with a single button press or click. Currently, only the hammer item is available, but we plan to add items such as mops, feather dusters, and push brooms in future updates to increase variety. Once implemented, all existing minigame missions will be removed and replaced.Paranormal Phenomenon System: Satisfying specific in-game conditions triggers a paranormal phenomenon. This system immerses players by abducting them to a specific space or imposing visual confusion, tinnitus, and other disorienting effects. Since the primary objective of the game's genre is finding the impostor, we intend to use only simple and easy-to-understand rules for these anomalies. This system was introduced as an obstacle to hinder the Ghost role.Paranormal Codex & Item Codex: Accessible when interacting with the Altar. A codex containing explanations for paranormal phenomena and items has been added. When a paranormal phenomenon triggers, it is automatically added to the codex. Players can uncover specific rules by obtaining Traces scattered near the phenomenon and analyzing them in the codex.Ritual Preparation: One of the actions available at the Altar. Currently, players can offer a Contract Trace and a specific item to reveal which role formed a contract with the Mansion Door, assisting players in their deductions.Judgment Ritual: One of the actions available at the Altar. The previous system—where players initiated meetings by interacting with the bell object—has been changed to launching a Judgment Ritual by sacrificing a specifi...
