About this game
Rule number 1
The hills have been calling out to anybody willing to listen but a true Appalachian would know better than to go meddling in the forest at night. Something is causing trouble up here and the trail ain't what it once was. Uncover the mysteries of the mountains and come face to face with the most infamous horrors of Appalachian Folklore. Using your Thermal Imager and EMF meter you analyze, track and scout the hills of Appalachia but it doesn't take long to realize it's you that's being hunted.
A survival horror experience that throws you into the hollers and the hills of Appalachia, you'll investigate the trail and coal country in search of your missing Uncle and his neighbor Walter. Piecing together a mystery along the way you just may be able to restore some of that peace and quiet the old folks can't seem to forget.

Known bugs
If any item becomes stuck in the players hand use the tilda key to put it away. The coal mine area is known to cause this but it will be addressed in a future patch. Collecting all the items and progressing through the cave entrance at the bottom of the trail has been tested and it should work. Loading your game will break the game state, I don't believe you can progress on a loaded save but the demo is meant to be completed in one session. Again, the only known bug to prevent progression can be prevented by pressing the tilda key to put the broken tool back in your inventory. Players can adjust the brightness and resolution in the settings after the taxi driver drops you off. You must hit apply for the settings to work.Read full article on Community Announcements (Fro407)Patch NotesOfficial
Demo Update 5/6
Hey everyone, I'm still actively tackling the bugs everyone has mentioned so far, thanks again for the feedback. You guys can now adjust the music and brightness settings in the pause menu. I've been so focused on game design I never got around to testing the UI. This is what the feedback is for, now future users will have a much better experience due to the solid feedback from early players. This is how we build a great game and a solid community. The 2nd level is darker than it was previously but this shouldn't be an issue now that you can adjust the brightness. Have funRead full article on Community Announcements (Fro407)Patch NotesOfficial
Demo Updates
The first demo update has been pushed to address lighting issues in the forest and the inability to pick objects up. The opening cinematic would sometimes disable the crosshair on load. The voicemail has been trimmed significantly and you should be able to advance through the cave once you collect the 2 Notes and the 2 Photos now.All feedback is being put to use and I'll continue to push updates as I work bugs out.Read full article on Community Announcements (Fro407)
