About this game
Build at a True 1:1 Scale — No Grid Limits

City Masterplan is a city-building simulation where true-scale construction meets flexible, grid-free planning.
Design your city without constraints — draw roads freely, build complex highways, and develop diverse districts at a true 1:1 scale.
From terrain sculpting to fine detail, you have full control over how your city takes shape.
A city is more than how it looks — it’s how it functions.
Plan and run an urban system supported by traffic simulation, economic systems, and data. Optimize flow, build supply chains, and use clear information panels to guide your decisions.
Start from a single road—and expand it into a functioning metropolis.
Freeform Road Systems — Design Without Limits

Every road you draw shapes how your city moves.
With fully flexible, grid-free tools, you can design any layout you imagine.
• No Grid Constraints
Draw roads freely—curves, highways, elevated bridges, and complex interchanges—without rigid limitations.
• From Country Roads to Megacities
Expand from quiet rural paths to dense urban networks, connecting every part of your city into a seamless system.
• Traffic That Responds to Your Design
Traffic flow is shaped by your infrastructure. Adjust layouts, reduce congestion, and keep your city moving efficiently.
Diverse Architecture — Define Your Own Style

Shape a city that reflects your vision with a rich architectural toolkit and full visual control.
• Build Across Cultures and Styles
Design anything from a classic American metropolis to a distinctly Chinese city, giving each district its own visual identity.
• True-to-Scale Landmark Buildings
Place iconic structures with accurate proportions and detailed materials—designed to hold up even at close range.
• Details That Reward Every Zoom
A large, high-quality asset library, supported by procedural generation, adds depth and variation across your city—from dense commercial areas to lived-in residential districts.
City Simulation — Run a Functional System

Every city runs on systems that need to be managed.
Take control of a complex city supported by transparent mechanics and real-time data.
• Balance Growth and Citizen Needs
Expand your city while managing housing, jobs, and essential services. Growth requires planning to stay sustainable.
• Build Realistic Supply Chains
Connect production, logistics, and consumption into a working economy. Efficient systems support stable development.
• Make Decisions with Real Data
Use clear data panels and visualized reports to understand your city—and make informed adjustments over time.
A Living World — Build at Scale
Your city is shaped by terrain, scale, and environment.

• A Massive Building Canvas
Expand from dense city centers to distant outskirts across a large-scale map—build a metropolis across a continuous landscape.
• Landscapes That Shape Your City
Plan coastal cities, mountain towns, and varied terrain where geography becomes both a creative tool and a planning consideration.
• Dynamic Weather and Lighting
Weather and lighting change over time, affecting how your city looks throughout the day and across conditions.
• Realistic Detail at Every Scale
From vegetation to building surfaces, details remain consistent as you zoom in and out.

City Masterplan - Dev AMA #01
Hey Planners!Since opening our feedback channels across all our global communities, we have been absolutely blown away by your passion. You've shared so many incredible ideas, detailed feedback, and deep insights into what makes a city builder truly great. As a dedicated indie team, we can't always reply to every single message instantly, but we are actually reading everything. To ensure your voices are heard, we've selected 10 suggestions. Now, let our Dev Team give you honest, transparent answers about the features you care about most! Q1: Add graphics quality presets so the game can run smoothly on devices with different specs. (无手文)A (Game Designer): This is a solid suggestion! We plan to implement these settings at launch to ensure the game runs well across as many different hardware configurations as possible. Q2: Add a gameplay mode to start from a specific year and unlock utilities and facilities as time progresses. (e.g., starting an old town in the 1800s and expanding as new tech becomes available). (Emilithe)A (Game Designer): This is a cool idea! While we do not plan to adopt a Historic Mode at launch, we will reference the progression of real-world urban development for the gradual unlocking of buildings. Q3: I hope to see modular transit stations to make building transport hubs easier. (ᴿᵉ.将离)A (Game Designer): Modular design is definitely on our radar! For the initial launch, we plan to support modular features for transit hubs, such as allowing you to adjust parameters like the number and length of station platforms. Q4: Avoid an overly clean or “perfect” look for the city. When everything is spotless, it can start to feel a bit artificial and plastic... It would be great if your game handled this more dynamically—like adding natural wear, dirt, and variation automatically based on how areas are used or maintained. (Ay12345)A (Game Designer): We completely agree that imperfection feels more realistic, which is why you can already see wear and dirt ...Read full article on Community Announcements (anakingamegrorp)AnnouncementsOfficial
