Update v1.4.0 — Sound, Vision & a Deep Fix Pass
40th Century: Void Survivor — v1.4.0The void has been silent since launch. Not anymore. This build gives the game a full audio layer — every impact, every windup tell, every hazard and every boss phase now makes a sound — plus an ambient music bed that reacts to how much trouble you're in. Behind all of it, every menu scene got a hand-painted backdrop, and the combat math got the deepest correctness pass this game has had. 🔊 The Void Has a VoiceEverything that happens on screen now happens in your ears too.Combat. Bullet impacts, with the crit sting timed to the moment of the hit instead of the muzzle flash. Enemy weapon fire. Elites announce themselves when they spawn.Tells you can hear. Phantom blade windup, reaper charge, rusher lock-on — the attacks that used to kill you off-screen now telegraph audibly. Revenant revives, mimic ambushes, warps and teleports all have their own cue.Bosses. Phase changes and cut-ins are scored. Boss attack cadence no longer borrows the player-damage sound, so "I got hit" and "it's attacking" are finally two different noises.Planet hazards. All nine — sky-strike telegraph and bolt, solar flare, EMP, spore pools, burn, chill, drag. You can hear VOLTHAR aiming at you.The low-HP warning pulse. It was written a long time ago and never actually played. It plays now. 🎵 The Sector SingsA procedural ambient bed plays under every run. It thickens as enemy pressure rises and darkens while a big boss is alive — the music tells you the room is getting worse before the HUD does. Each sector theme gets its own root note, so the eleven themes sound like different places. The BGM volume slider is unhidden in settings. It was there the whole time with nothing to control.Zero download cost. All of it is synthesized at runtime — the audio layer ships no audio files. 🖼️ Sixteen Painted RoomsEvery menu scene now sits on hand-painted art instead of a wireframe grid: Lobby, Constellation, Pre-Mission Engineering, Equipment, Module Library, Passive Tree, Tot...Read full article on Community Announcements (ArcadeDeck)Patch NotesOfficial
Update v1.3.0 — Planets, Pilots & a Full Visual Overhaul
40th Century: Void Survivor — v1.3.0The biggest content drop since launch. Every sector you fly into now sits in the shadow of a real planet — and that planet has an opinion about the build you brought. You also stop being a nameless hull: pick a pilot, inherit their gift, live with their flaw. And all of it is wrapped in a complete hand-painted art pass.🪐 Eleven PlanetsOne planet is drawn per sector. Reroll it before you commit — but once you've fought there, you're locked in.The element wheel. Every planet boosts one damage element by +30% and punishes another by -30%. PYRAX melts ice and feeds plasma. NIVEUM does the reverse. HOROLITH gives TEMPORAL builds a full +40% because there are so few of them. NOCTIS, the last world, favors nobody at all.Nine hazards. Enemy hits BURN you on PYRAX and CHILL you on NIVEUM. VOLTHAR drops sky strikes on wherever you're standing. UMBRIS eats your pickup radius and expires your orbs early. MECHARA fires an EMP that knocks a module offline. VIRELLA grows an acid pool under you if you stand still. NOCTIS spawns cloaked enemies your auto-aim cannot lock.Every hazard has a payout. The nastier the world, the better the sector: more Compounds, more XP, cheaper markets, extra level-up options, doubled hunt parts. The choice is always risk for reward. Two are pure scenery. AURELIA and THALASSA are postcards. Nothing there wants you dead.* Art Visual is different with in-game visual 👨🚀 Twelve PilotsThree default pilots, eight named ones with a signature passive and a genuine drawback, and one you'll have to find.KAEL, The Warbringer — damage scales up as your HP drops, with an emergency immunity pulse under 30%. Costs 20% of your max HP to fly.AEGIS, The Bulwark — stand still and stack damage reduction up to +30%. Move and lose it. Also 12% slower, permanently.ECHO, The Signalkeeper — a clean no-hit streak stacks move and attack speed. One hit and it's gone.NULL-KAI, The Devourer — every curse and pact you carry now also grants +8% dama...Read full article on Community Announcements (ArcadeDeck)Patch NotesOfficial
Update v1.2.1 — Boss Fixes, Balance Pass & New Player Onboarding
40th Century: Void Survivor — v1.2.1 A code-review patch focused on combat correctness, fairer difficulty, and a smoother first-run experience. Thanks for playing, pilots. ⚔️ Combat Fixes Bosses no longer ignore your tech. Frost Mirror beams and Crystalline Fracture frostbite now correctly hit every boss tier — small, medium, and the big ones. Time Slow now affects all enemy tiers and their projectiles. Cryo Lance now applies armor penetration as intended. Smarter enemy threats: Revenant gets brief invulnerability after reviving, Phantom Blade now telegraphs its dash, and Void Leech shows its drain ring. ⚖️ Balance Dreadnought phase-2 laser tracks slower — it's now dodgeable instead of a guaranteed hit. IMPOSSIBLE difficulty now grants invulnerability frames and caps enemy attack scaling — brutal, but fair. Fire-rate and Data Overload now have soft caps to keep builds in check. More cores: +6% core drops per stage plus a guaranteed clear payout, so progression keeps pace with your playtime. 🚀 New Player Onboarding First-time economy primer when you enter the Lobby. Warning prompt before your first skip penalty (it's permanent and stacks). "Recommended next step" hint banner in the Lobby. One-click suggested survival loadout in Engineering. 🔧 Under the Hood Fixed several memory leaks (Gravity Well tickers, boss arrays, scene teardown). Performance improvements in the combat loop. Tighter security on the desktop build (least-privilege bridge). Localization updates across all 11 languages. See you in the void. 🌌Read full article on Community Announcements (ArcadeDeck)Patch NotesOfficial
