About this game
This is our very first commercial game.
We’re just two developers who wanted to challenge ourselves not only to start a game, but to actually finish and publish one.
Your time, feedback, and support truly mean a lot to us :)
Long Rest is a fantasy run game built around a simple tension: your party pushes into a dungeon tier, chests keep appearing, and your heroes move to claim them.
But the curse deepens over time, dealing mounting damage until the tier ends in victory when the curse fully settles or in defeat if the party falls first.
Between runs, return to camp to pick a dungeon tier (higher tiers trade tougher curse pressure for richer rewards), open the skill tree, and spend multiple currencies on chest-focused and global upgrades so the next expedition comes back stronger.

Patch — Windows fullscreen / graphics fix
Display / FullscreenAdjusted Windows graphics API so the game prefers Direct3D 11 over Direct3D 12. This addresses reports where fullscreen looked much darker than windowed mode on some PCs. Thanks to pmcelreavy for spotting this issue on their PC, that was a huge help in pinning this down. - LoganRead full article on Community Announcements (Newyares Games)Patch NotesOfficial
UI, Audio & Window Fixes

Starting a run or loading another scene no longer snaps the window back to the old size.AudioLoot pickup popups can now play different sounds per currency.Popup payout sounds are spaced out slightly so they don’t stack when lots of loot shows at once.UIWith Champion’s Revelation, hovering hero HUD portraits now show a short, styled tooltip for each hero’s ultimate aura, with a slide-in animation.Read full article on Community Announcements (Newyares Games)Patch NotesOfficial
Smarter chests, UI polish, and first-time guides
ChestsOpening a chest now sends the nearest hero when possible, instead of picking someone far away. This fixes cases where a distant party member was sent to a chest that spawned right next to someone else. UIGame HUD: layout and readability improvements for clearer text and a cleaner layout. UpgradesThe first time you open the upgrade tree, a short hint explains that you can drag to move the tree. Tier 1 briefingThe first time you enter tier 1 in the dungeon, a one-time tutorial panel appears. This brings more clarification about the gameplay. Champion’s RevelationThe first time you purchase Champion’s Revelation from the upgrade tree, a one-time info panel appears with extra context on what your heroes can do from that point on.Lastly, we appreciate all the time you took to play the demo.
