About this game

You find yourself lost in a mysterious world, where you can only visit train stations and navigate between them through the help of trains. But something seems off about this place… Are things repeating here?

During your trips, you might encounter other travelers. With each of them having their own storyline, get to know them through discussions, and perhaps you will learn more about this world and your place within it.

The train system is filled with mysteries! Keep an eye on every detail and take notes of your discoveries. A curious mindset might help you better understand this strange network, and perhaps lead you to new stations.

You may stumble upon some letters at stations. More than 50 of them are writings of true stories. Friends, family members, strangers, all poured their hearts into giving you a glimpse at their lives. For them, this game serves as a time capsule for who they were when they wrote those letters. For you, they are a small way to connect to another traveler, who shares this world with you.

  • Uncover the mysteries of this world through a knowledge-based progression system and a deep narrative

  • Discover a variety of atmospheric train stations

  • Meet lost travelers and try to find a way out together

  • Collect stamps at each train station

  • Find writings of real-world people and get a glimpse at a stranger's life and thoughts

One Month Since the Reveal - Debrief

To all our travelers,It now has almost been a month since the official reveal of Forgotten Station, and what a month it has been! Starting with the reveal across social platforms and the Train Fest, and ending with the Wholesome Games Celebration, we have certainly been busy. The reception for this upcoming adventure has really been everything we could have hoped for, and more. So, let us share with you how it went! Some very corporate and serious numbers to start with:More than 6,000 wishlists collectedMore than 1,600 of you played the demo More than 150 personal letters collected from all of you33 Steam reviews with a 100% "Positive" ratingYou have no idea how much all these numbers mean to us. From the whole team, THANK YOU.About your feedbackDuring this time, we also have been reading all your feedback across different social platforms, in Steam reviews, and, most importantly, through the form included with the demo. We took some time to improve the game and you can already see the results of your suggestions in the latest version of the demo, which we released at the start of the Wholesome Games Celebration. But that is not all! We know there is still more to improve, and we are actively working on it. Here are some of the things a lot of you pointed out:Lack of a way to keep track of the trains takenText sound gets irritating pretty quickly, especially when reading lettersWaiting mechanic is a bit unclearMore things to interact with would be nicePlayer character twitches when walking into objectsThank you once more for all your precious feedback. We can't wait to show you all the improvements we have in store! If you would like to join other travelers like yourself on our Discord or follow Forgotten Station as it takes shape ahead of release, you can find all our social links at the bottom of this post. :140Down:One final time, thank you for hopping aboard this adventure with us!— This was an intervention by the △△▣ Company

Wholesome Games Celebration & Demo Patch 1.2.0!

To all our travelers,We would like to thank you all once more for your support. To be completely honest, we did not expect this much traction for our first game, so for that, we cannot thank you enough! We are also very pleased and honored to announce that Forgotten Station is taking part in the Wholesome Games Celebration from August 6 to 13. We took your feedback to heart and for the occasion we are happy to say you will already be able to see some of your suggestions reflected in the demo for this Steam event! We have also received many wonderful writings from all of you, and the game really wouldn't be the same without everyone who has contributed. Thank you once more. As a quick reminder for the new people here, if you would like to leave a little part of yourself in the game, the demo lets you write a letter that could eventually be found in the full game. We will do our best to add as many as possible! :140Down: Patch 1.2.0 details below :140Down: Thank you to the Wholesome Games team for giving us this opportunity! Now, about the changes we made:ImprovementsAdded a clock animation when interacting with benches, approaching NPCs, or boarding trains, to provide better feedbackAdded access to the Settings menu from the main menuAdded an option to disable the grain texture in the Settings menuThe current time is now displayed on every page of your sketchbookMoved the page-turning UI icons to the top of the screen for improved readabilityAdjusted the interaction radius of objects, including trains, to make interactions feel smoother and more naturalSome dialogues were corrected as well as slightly tweaked to avoid any confusion on the player's objective in the demoBug FixesFixed an issue where pressing a button at a specific moment when launching the game could leave you stuck on the main menuFixed an issue where, in some cases, the map would reveal a station you had not explored yet (no more spoilers!)Temporary FixTweaked the volume and pitch of the text writing s...

    Patch Note: 1.1.0 (demo)

To all our travelers,Since our announcement last week, things have been pretty intense but also very positive. We would like to thank you for all the support and feedback you've sent us; we really appreciate it!Based on that, we quickly added and fixed a few things here and there.ImprovementsYou can now play on an ultra-wide 21:9 screen!Details: The text from letters is no longer cut at the top of the screen. The text displayed during the transition between stations is now at its expected position. The back/esc icon on the poster is no longer duplicated.Train stations have been reworked visually to fit the larger screen size. If any other issue arises on your 21:9, please let us know!Added a default cap FPSWe also capped the FPS when V-Sync is not enabled. This way, you should be at 60 natively instead of... 600 or something (it might have been a tad excessive).Bug fixYou can now close a poster/board properly after interacting with it using the keyboard.Additional noteWe are aware of the animation glitch when you walk against a wall or any obstacle. It is a bit complicated to fix at the moment, but (hopefully) we will be able to fix it in a reasonable amount of time. Additional issues have been spotted and we are actively working on them. Thank you for your patience and understanding.Once more, thank you all again for your support! — This was an intervention from the △△▣ Company
