About this game

Election Train is a multiplayer turn-based strategy card game where you lead a political party to victory across real-world maps.

Compete for Every Vote

Play cards to gain votes in cities, steal from opponents, and build your resource engine. Each card costs energy and resources — plan your moves wisely. Every city you control brings you closer to winning the election.

7 Real-Country Maps

Campaign across Turkey (81 cities), Europe (37 countries), USA (48 states), France, Spain, United Kingdom, and Germany. Each map offers a unique strategic challenge with different city connections and regional dynamics.

4 Unique Parties

Choose your political party, each with a distinct passive ability:

  • Faith Front — Loyal Voters: Each turn, adds +1 vote to one city in a close race (within 5 votes) — including cities you're behind in, helping you catch up.

  • Prosperity Party — Rich Economy: Each turn, adds +1 to one of your material types that has dropped to zero (prevents shortages).

  • Iron Guard — Iron Bulwark: Vote attacks from cards are 10% weaker against you (5% while you're the overall leader; disasters are not reduced). In Population mode it shores up to 3 cities each turn; in City-count mode it instead seizes the closest contested city you don't yet lead, pushing it to a small lead.

  • Reform Alliance — Populist Surge: Each turn, spreads votes to up to 4 cities you don't lead (favoring low-population and close races), then secures your contested city closest to a locked lead by up to +1.5 votes.

Dynamic Events

Random disaster events shake up every match — economic crises, public uprisings, scandals, and more. Adapt your strategy or get left behind.

Mini-Games

Every few rounds, the leading player faces a challenger in a 1v1 mini-game. Win to steal votes, lose and fall behind. Four different mini-game types keep things fresh.

Multiple Ways to Win

  • Population Mode — Win by total weighted vote count

  • City Count Mode — Control more than half the cities to claim victory

  • Up to 4 players online via Steam

  • Bot AI opponents for solo or mixed play

  • 150+ unique cards with strategic depth

  • Region dominance bonuses

  • Interactive tutorial

  • English and Turkish language support

    🔧 Hotfix Is Live — v1.3.3

Greetings, Candidates! This update brings small but satisfying touches that make the game smoother and fairer: clearly seeing when your turn is blocked, a control-key reminder, a smarter dice mechanic, and a few fixes. Good luck at the polls! 🗳️ 🌟 New Features 🚫 Turn-Blocked Warning — When a card blocks your turn, a clear "TURN BLOCKED" badge now appears above your hand, so you instantly see why your turn is being skipped. ⌨️ Start-Screen Control Hints — The game's start screen now reminds you what the shortcut keys do: Ctrl (show your own vote %), Tab (toggle vote badges), Alt (enlarge a card), H (reset the camera). ⚖️ Balance & Improvements 🎲 Smarter Dice Mechanic — When you have no playable card (and enough energy), you can keep rolling the dice instead of being stuck with a single roll — until a card becomes playable. If you already have a playable card at the start of your turn, the dice is still once per turn. 👾 SpaceMash Rebalanced — Beating the bot is still hard, but now genuinely possible; a determined player has a real chance. 🐛 Bug Fixes ⏱️ Unlimited (∞) Turn Indicator — The unlimited-turn timer symbol wasn't rendering on some systems (notably macOS); it now displays correctly everywhere. 💬 Direct-Message (DM) Recipient List — Fixed the chat DM target list where names didn't appear / couldn't be selected. The list now opens upward and the options display clearly. ✨ Various UI and stability improvements. Keep playing, and let us know if you spot anything off — we're on it. Have fun, and good luck at the ballot box! 🚂🗳️

🚂 ElecTrain 1.3.1 Update Is Live

Greetings, Candidates! We're keeping the momentum going after offline play: this update adds new turn options, a smoother UI, fairer mini-games, and fixes for many of the issues you reported. Good luck at the polls! 🗳️ 🌟 New Features ♾️ Unlimited (∞) Turn Timer — A new option for the turn timer. Remove the time limit entirely and plan your strategy at your own pace. 💡 In-Game Party Passive Tooltip — A reminder of your party's passive ability is now available right inside the match. 🎯 See Your Own Vote % with CTRL — Hold CTRL to view your own vote percentage on the city pucks. A new tutorial step explains how. 🎬 Game-Over Razor-Thin Highlight — The end screen now marks cities won or lost by a razor-thin margin with a dedicated indicator. ⚖️ Balance & Improvements 🛡️ Mini-games now protect the leader — If the leader wins the mini-game, they can't extend their lead any further (only protect it); votes are transferred only when the challenger wins. Leader selection is now game-mode aware too. 👾 Rebalanced bot difficulty in the SpaceMash mini-game for a fairer fight. 🤝 Team/coalition UI overhaul: shared materials and per-member rows in the player tooltip, member avatars and material icons in the opponent picker, and cleaner lobby podium labels and alignment. 🐛 Bug Fixes 🃏 Fixed the REMAINING scenarios where cancelling a card with ESC could duplicate it (including the underlying root cause that occurred while dragging and reordering your hand). 🔊 Fixed the train sound being far too loud. 🖱️ Fixed city hover-highlight disappearing in some matches. 📊 Fixed votes from party passives not being reflected on screen immediately ("phantom percentage"). 🎵 Mini-game result sound now plays in sync with the animation. ↩️ Fixed a cancelled card returning to the wrong slot when targeting an opponent. 💬 Fixed name and color display issues in the direct-message (DM) dropdown. 🗺️ Fixed how Cyprus is displayed on the Europe map. 🏷️ Region names now display correctly everywhere. ✨ Various U...
