About this game
The Guild can't identify some of their potions, so they send them your way. Your job is to learn their effects. Experiment with them, drink them... it doesn't matter how. Just label them correctly.
Identify Potions
Each potion reacts differently when exposed to heat or other materials. Watch carefully. The reactions will tell you what the potion actually does.
Figure it out, write the correct label and send it back to the Guild.
Or Drink Them?
Saves everyone time. Of course, if the potion melts your bones or turns your vision inside out, that's not my problem. And definitely not the Guild's.
Meet... People...
Nobody should be wandering down here. If they are, they are weirdos, and they probably have weird requests. I hate weirdos.
Our Friendly Staff
The Guild says you work for them, which means they keep an eye on your work. They will help you out so you don't do a sloppy job, whether you like it or not.
And no, don't go outside
The workshop is the only safe place here. There is nothing for you out there. Especially in the clearly-not-for-you area. Do your job and pay your debt to the Guild.

Playtest is open now!
Hello everyone! This is the second public playtest for Under Potion Influence. After the last one, I made sure to address all the feedback I received, and I'm now ready to share this latest build. This should also represent the level of quality I am aiming for the full release.I am not sure how long I will keep this playtest available for. Like always, expect a one week window, but I may stretch it based on feedback and players' interest. If you want to help me improve the game, you can share your feedback at the form linked at the end. This time, I also ask of you to please opt-in to data collection. There is no personal data collected, but only gameplay events triggered and the result of potion evaluations. I made sure to state it in the game as well, so I hope you will opt-in so that I have a clearer idea of what are the bottlenecks. Thanks again to everyone who gives the game a try. Have fun labelling potions!Links:Feedback FormBug ReportDiscord ServerRead full article on Community Announcements (Xaary)AnnouncementsOfficial
End of Public Playtest
Hello everyone,I closed the playtest after this one week since I got a lot of feedback from everyone who played the game. But don't worry! I'm planning to improve the game and come back with a new public playtest in hopefully a month or two at most, with also more content since I'm getting close to a demo release. So stay tuned!Unsurprisingly I got mixed feedback about what everyone liked about the game. I was expecting this since the game is made of gameloops that usually aren't paired together (job simulator and dungeon crawling). Every single player had a different answer, which was something that worried me before the playtest. I was worried that nobody would find the game fun because there was a part they didn't like as much as the rest. However, I noticed how most left very positive comments, which makes me glad and hopeful that if I keep polishing the mechanics this may actually become a game everyone can enjoy.I've been posting updates about the development of Under Potion Influence on my Discord Server, if that's something that may interest you feel free to join! Thanks to everyone who played!Read full article on Community Announcements (Xaary)AnnouncementsOfficial
Playtest is open now!
Hello everyone! After a long time working behind the scenes, the playtest is finally available. I wanted to make sure the game was in a state that represents the experience I want to create, while also fixing the biggest issues that could get in the way of enjoying it.The playtest will be available for the next 1-2 weeks. Before closing it, I will post another announcement so that anyone who hasn't had the chance to try it yet will have some time to jump in.If you want to help me improve the game, I would really appreciate it if you could share your feedback through this form: Feedback FormIf you find any bug, please report them here: Bug Report. It helps a lot that you follow this template so that I can easily identify, reproduce and fix the bugThank you so much to everyone who decides to give the game a try. I hope you'll enjoy testing potions in a questionable working environment!Links:Feedback FormBug ReportDiscord ServerRead full article on Community Announcements (Xaary)AnnouncementsOfficial
Public Playtest Soon! - Devlog
Hello!I'm Marco, the developer behind Under Potion Influence.I held a small and private playtesting session, and I'm currently addressing the issues that came up.Luckily, it looks like these are mostly small issues, which is good, as it means the game is coming up nicely! Which also means that I will soon release a build for public playtests, so keep your eyes open for that!I was expecting to hold a public playtest sooner, but I suddenly decided to add another completely different gamemode that wasn't in my original vision of the game. Now, you have two phases for each day. The first is when you do your job, identify the guild's potions and label them. The second is when you explore a dungeon and find a way to escape. The game was really itching for something more. You had all these potions, but no use for them!? So I listened to it! You can now steal potions and use them in the dungeon!Exploring the dungeon is also special in itself, as it plays through first person grid-based movement, and can talk to the other prisoners and interact with obstacles using your potions (drink them or throw them), which gives so much personality to the game! I'm really happy with how it's come to be.Soon you'll be able to play it too! The game will go through another round of private playtests and bug fixing (and maybe add more content while I'm at it), before sharing a public build. Thanks for reading so far! Wishlist and follow the game for updates if that's something you may be interested in!- MarcoRead full article on Community Announcements (Xaary)
