After months of building in the dark, you can finally pick up the sword yourself.This is the opening chapter: the ruined town of Midiville, three enemy types, and the boss waiting at its heart. It's roughly one fifth of the planned full game, and it's the first time Shadow & Steel is in your hands instead of ours.The GameShadow & Steel is a top-down wave survival game with souls-like combat. A dark fantasy, pixel art aesthetic ties it all together to make combat feel exciting and decisions impactful. You play as a nameless knight making a stand against an endless tide of enemies in a ruined world that has already forgotten you. Every run is the story. How far your legend grows, and how it ends, is entirely up to you. Will the bards sing your name, or will you be forgotten in the depths of the past?What's in the demoYou'll face Hellhounds, Skeleton Knights, and Skeleton Mages across escalating waves, then meet Orthrus, the first boss standing between you and the rest of the legend. The full game holds far more than this, and the demo is your first look at what it feels like in motion.What's next?A Kickstarter will follow in the future. Funds help us commission additional enemies and bosses sooner and at a higher level of polish.
