About this game
Arduus: Minimalist Open World Survival Craft RPG was created with the idea of combining RPG, survival, and strategy elements into a simple, direct, and intuitive experience.
You are literally thrown into the medieval fantasy world of Arduus and start from nothing — with no tutorials guiding every step. Your character appears at a random location in a vast procedurally generated open world, and from that moment on everything is up to you: explore, survive, evolve, and find your own path.
You might choose to live a quiet life in the frozen mountains, become a spice merchant traveling across the scorching desert, or simply work at a small village tavern while saving money to buy your own home, there is no single path to follow — the adventure is shaped by the choices you make and the life you decide to build in this world.

Open World Sandbox – Freely explore a procedural world that can reach up to 1000x1000 tiles (1,000,000 tiles to explore).
Character Progression – Learn new knowledge and unlock advantages that shape your playstyle.
Mercy or Death – After every battle, decide the fate of your defeated enemies.
Resource Gathering – Collect herbs, ore, wood, and other resources.
Survival – Manage hunger, thirst, fatigue, injuries, fractures, and harsh weather conditions.
Crafting – Create tools, weapons, and armor to use or sell.
Dynamic Trading – Prices change depending on the merchant and the local economy of each region.
Shadow Market – Trade goods and services beyond the reach of the law.
Turn-Based Combat – Semi-automatic battles where you command your units each turn.
Low RNG Combat – Battles are designed so experience and strategy matter more than luck.

Hi! I'm Jimmy, the creator of Arduus. Thank you for giving the game a chance and taking the time to check out this page.
I'm a big fan of RPG and strategy games, but I've always felt there was room for experiences that offer depth without requiring hours to learn complex systems. That idea is what led me to start developing Arduus.
The goal has always been to create an open world with clear, intuitive, and easy-to-learn mechanics, where you can explore, survive, progress, and build at your own pace.
From the beginning, the game has been designed to receive constant updates, allowing the world to expand, new content to be added, and the game to evolve alongside the community.
If you'd like to follow the development and share ideas, you're more than welcome to join the community.
Your feedback helps shape the future of Arduus — and it makes a huge difference to me as a developer.

Arduus Open Playtest - Alpha 0.1.6
Hello, friends of Arduus! The Arduus Open Playtest is finally here! You can now play the game in its Alpha 0.1.6 version, available directly from the Steam page.At this stage, my main goal is to hear from you, the players. If you have any feedback, suggestions, or ideas, please use the link below to join the Arduus Steam Community:https://steamcommunity.com/app/4510480/discussions/This is the first open playtest, and I’m sure many of you will have fantastic ideas and suggestions for the game. I’m really looking forward to hearing what you think! As for what you can and can’t do in Alpha 0.1.6, there’s one major limitation: you cannot save your game. Other than that, you’re free to explore, fight, trade, build, craft, level up your character, recruit allies, and even track down and defeat epic enemies — including the current final boss, the Lich King. However, finding him won’t be easy. The Lich King is spawned at a random location when the world is created, and there is currently no mechanic to guide you to him. So... well... good luck! Before I wrap this up, I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who made it this far, and an even bigger thank you to those who take the time to play the game and share their feedback.I’m a solo developer, and this relationship between a creator and their community is something completely new and very important to me. Thank you!I hope to see you in Arduus. See ya!Read full article on Community Announcements (helloJimmy)Patch NotesOfficial
