About this game
Dual-Wielding Grappling Action
In NETRUN, you control both of your character's arms independently - each one equipped with a grappling hook and thruster. Mastery requires the active coordination of both hands:
Swing on the rope with one hand, while lining up your next shot with the other
Chain grapple shots by alternating hands to avoid cooldowns
Launch both hooks at once to save yourself from a deadly fall
Using only three sets of inputs - the sticks, the shoulder buttons and the triggers - NETRUN provides a deep and addictive movement system built around navigational freedom. There is never just one way to tackle an obstacle - avoid an enemy, take a corner, or land a jump.
...Or indeed missing a jump! With success depending on not just the timing of a button press, but the precise inputs from two analog sticks, you'll always find yourself making micro-corrections to line up your trajectory with the route you planned. In this way, NETRUN can feel as much like a racing game as a traditional platformer.
This is not about jumping - it's about flow.
NETRUN's core gameplay challenge arises, not so much from the limitations of your tools, as it does from your capacity to handle their full power. Even a single, fully leveraged swing can send you flying quite far, quite fast. As that momentum builds, it's your job to know where your limits lie: How fast can I go, and still hit this shot?
Carve Your Own Path
Tackle the challenges the way you want, with hundreds of handcrafted levels designed for both variety and player expression:
Open stages featuring spacious environments and dynamic enemies reacting to your every move, rewarding quick reflexes and improvisation.
Infiltration missions with complex geometry and enemies reliant on line-of-sight. Storm past the security, or take to the shadows and rely on finesse and precision - the choice is yours.
Enclosed obstacle courses - hallways, mazes, puzzle rooms - with their own repertoire of static hazards and predictable traps. These stages reward planning and careful execution, while still providing meaningful choices in how you navigate the terrain.
Co-op and Arena
The Adventure mode can be played solo, or cooperatively with up to 4 players locally.
There is also a Smash Bros.-style Arena mode, where you can duke it out with your friends:
Multiple rulesets to choose from, such as: Stock Battle, Collectathon, Lifeline, and others! Each with their own, configurable win conditions
Special modifiers to mix up the action: gravitational anomalies, deadly digital light trails to corner your opponent with, permanent power-ups and more.
Fine-tune the chaos with separate settings for item spawns: weapon crates, enemies, hazards, power-ups, and more.
Level Editor and Online
Create your own stages and share them with the world! Every stage that ships with NETRUN - Adventure and Arena alike - was built using the same level editor you'll have access to.
More details on NETRUN's online features coming soon.

NETRUN Demo patch::0x202 [ICEBREAKER]
New update for the demo. A number of small improvements, mainly visual:-reworked rope visuals -adjusted reel-in physics -reduced fall damage -added inverted control settings for thrusters and dash in the options menu (for now they are global, once player-specific customization is expanded on, i'll add them as a player-specific option) -collectibles now orient themselves to match the rotation of the camera -the key collectibles now feature a slightly larger collision radius -fixed a bug where the coin collectibles would sometimes not register a fast swinging rope making contact with them, and instead wound up coasting in the opposite direction -fixed character expression offsets not properly accounting for camera rotation -added a wishlist prompt in the overworld screenRegarding that last feature - wishlists are appreciated by the way, as are reviews of the demo! General feedback, suggestions, and questions are all welcome too on the discussions section of the community page. I've admittedly left it pretty barren right now, but I'm looking to start implementing basic features to it in due time. I do keep an eye on it already, so feel free to reach out.I'm still figuring out how to best keep people up to date on the progress of the game. For the time being, you can see some of the new stuff I'm working on via the shorts I regularly post on Youtube: Got a bunch of new mechanics and enemies I've been working on - look forward to updates about them soon!Read full article on Community Announcements (Swango)
