About this game

A Critically Acclaimed Classic in a New Light

Secret Files: Tunguska – Remastered is the modernized edition of the award-winning point & click adventure from 2006 – technically enhanced and visually improved, while staying true to the spirit of the original.

Experience one of the most successful adventure games of its time in a new form and join Nina and Max on a globe-spanning investigation.

A Catastrophe That Changes Everything

Central Siberia, 1908: A massive explosion devastates the Tunguska region, leaving behind a mystery that remains unsolved to this day.

Almost a century later, scientist Vladimir Kalenkow disappears without a trace. His daughter Nina sets out on a desperate search – only to uncover clues that go far beyond a simple missing persons case. It soon becomes clear: her father’s fate is inextricably linked to the Tunguska event.

Together with Max, she follows a trail that leads from Berlin to Russia and Ireland, on to Cuba, and into the most remote regions of the world. But they are not alone: secret services, ruthless organizations, and a mysterious sect will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried.

The closer Nina and Max get to the truth, the greater the danger becomes – because they are not only searching for Nina’s father, but for a secret that was never meant to be uncovered.

20 Years of Secret Files: Tunguska – Remaster Update

Exactly 20 years ago today, Secret Files: Tunguska was first released in Germany. The fact that the game still has so many fans after all these years – and that so many of you are looking forward to Secret Files: Tunguska – Remastered – means a great deal to us.So we’d like to use today’s anniversary to share three pieces of news with you.New Release Window: Q2 2027Let’s start with the news that may sound a little less exciting at first:Secret Files: Tunguska – Remastered will no longer be released in 2026. The new release window is Q2 2027.It wasn’t an easy decision. Over the past few months, however, we’ve received a huge amount of positive feedback, suggestions, and requests from you. Some of those ideas made so much sense to us that we really wanted to include them in the remaster. At some point, that left us with a simple choice: release the game in November as originally planned – or take some more time and use the opportunity to make the remaster even better. We chose the latter. One example is the video cutscenes and character animations. Originally, we planned to reuse parts of the old material. But alongside the significantly improved backgrounds and overall visual quality of the remaster, many of those original elements no longer felt up to date.As a result, all video cutscenes are now being re-rendered, and almost all character animations are being replaced or reworked. The conversations will feel more lively as well. In the original game, only a small number of characters had additional dialogue animations, and those were tied to specific lines of dialogue. In the remaster, the major characters will have their own sets of animations that the game can dynamically choose from during conversations. This allows the characters to feel more natural, and even identical dialogue situations can play out with slightly different gestures and reactions.Another major area we’ve been working on is the hint system. The original release came with a printed solution guide, whi...
