It's on its way to you, giving you your first proper taste of this tiny, strange gothic adventure!- What’s waiting in the demo? - You'll begin your journey through the forests of Chalkvania, exploring interconnected areas packed with enemies, secrets, treasure and some increasingly suspicious holes in the ground.Expect to:Explore a hand-crafted gothic world filled with atmospheric forests, caves and hidden routes.Fight a growing collection of monsters, from skeletons and rats to things we'd probably rather not find living behind the walls.Hunt monsters and track your kills while earning rewards for your questionable career choices.Take on quests from the unfortunate people who still live here.Go fishing, because even monster hunters need hobbies.Discover weapons and upgrades that open new paths through the world.Meet some memorable characters, including a merchant who appears to have made several questionable business decisions.Descend into Blackburrow and face the Rat King.Claim your first major ability and begin uncovering the mystery behind the shattered Sword of Grayscale.And yes, there are secrets.   Hey everyone,We just hit 1,000 wishlists! That’s another big milestone ticked off on the road to launch later this year, and honestly, it means a lot. Thanks so much to everyone who’s wishlisted, shared, commented, or even just quietly followed along.I’ve been hard at work on the demo, getting it ready for you fine players. The goal is simple: make something that respects your time, sticks in your head, and is actually fun to play.Right now I’m focusing on pulling the world together into one connected, playable space somewhere you can explore, get lost in, and hopefully feel like you’ve properly visited. Next up is the demo which I'm working on to get playtested and out to you all within a couple of months. The response to The Legend of Chalkvania has been cooler than I could’ve imagined.Watching this go from a static screenshot to a small world people actually want to explore…It’s also what’s keeping me pushing to make this the kind of game that’s worth your time.If you’re just joining us:Chalkvania is a dark, slightly ridiculous 1-bit adventure where you explore a cursed world, fight monsters, collect strange items, and try to fix a problem that probably shouldn’t exist in the first place.What you can expect:Fast-paced exploration inspired by retro classicsLight RPG systems (gear, stats, loot)Strange villagers (some helpful, some… not entirely alive)A small world designed to be lived in, not rushed throughThanks again for the support, it genuinely means a lot.I’ll do everything I can to deliver a tight, fun experience that respects your time… and still manages to surprise you.Now back to work…this thing isn’t going to build itself.
