About this game

You cannot run.
You cannot trust what you see.

HAIGLA is a psychological horror game where perception shapes reality.

After waking from surgery, trapped in a wheelchair inside a hospital that no longer belongs to the real world, you must explore a distorted dimension where observation changes everything.

Objects appear only when seen. Hidden paths reveal themselves to those who look long enough. But some things should never be observed.

Survival depends not on speed, but on how carefully you choose to look.

Wheelchair-Based Survival
Movement is slow, deliberate, and vulnerable. You cannot outrun what hunts you. You must think, observe, and survive

Perception-Based Reality
Objects, pathways, puzzles, and dangers exist only when they are observed. Looking in the right place can reveal a way forward... or something that was better left unseen

Experimental Immersive Controls

Experience the world through a unique control system designed to make every movement intentional. Choose between a traditional control scheme or an experimental immersive mode that reimagines wheelchair navigation for a deeper sense of presence.

Environmental Puzzle Solving
Manipulate mechanisms, inspect your surroundings, and uncover hidden routes through observation rather than combat

Unpredictable Creatures
Some beings were once human. Others resemble something far older guardians of a world that should not exist

Psychological Horror Atmosphere
Explore a hospital that no longer belongs to the real world. Drawn into a fractured dimension where anomalous places are left to decay

Observation Changes Everything

In HAIGLA, perception alters reality.

Some objects only exist when directly observed.
Some pathways appear only when your gaze lingers long enough.

But not everything should be looked at for too long.

A World Beneath Reality

Beneath the hospital lies a forgotten world where perception itself has become corrupted.

Rooms rearrange themselves.

Impossible landscapes stretch beyond broken walls.

Echoes of forgotten expeditions remain scattered throughout the hospital, revealing that others tried to understand this place and failed.

The deeper you travel, the less reality behaves as it should.

Something ancient still watches from within.

    HAIGLA Demo Is Nearing Completion

Hello everyone! It’s time for another HAIGLA development update — and this one is a pretty big milestone. The demo is nearing completionThe HAIGLA demo has now reached its final stage of development. The main content is complete, and most of the remaining work is focused on testing, localization, bug fixing and smaller improvements before release.Rather than creating a very limited preview of the game, I wanted the demo to properly represent what playing HAIGLA will actually be like.Because of that, quite a lot of the systems planned for the full game are already present in the demo. What will be included in the demo? The demo will feature a substantial section from the beginning of HAIGLA, introducing the hospital, its strange new reality and several of the game's main mechanics. You'll be able to explore using HAIGLA's wheelchair movement system, encounter anomalies and entities, solve environmental puzzles and discover how observation can change the world around you.The demo also includes:• Two control modes - standard keyboard & mouse controls, or an alternative mouse-only control scheme• Full settings menu - including graphics, audio, controls, accessibility options and key rebinding• Multiple languages - localization will be available directly in the demo• Collectible system - discover hidden NCIAP collection cards throughout the hospital• Observation mechanics - looking at certain objects can reveal, alter or trigger elements of the environment• Exploration and puzzles - investigate the hospital and figure out how to progress through its increasingly strange spaces• Save and checkpoint systems - the demo uses the same underlying progression systems being developed for the full gameMore languages are comingLocalization has expanded considerably during the final stages of development. The HAIGLA demo is currently planned to support:EnglishJapaneseBrazilian PortugueseRussianSpanishGermanSimplified ChinesePolishSome of these languages were added after looking at where p...

Development Update – Demo Polish & Final Development Phase

Development UpdateHello everyone,I wanted to share a quick update on the progress of HAIGLA.Over the past months, development has been moving steadily forward, and the majority of the game's core content is now complete. Most of the planned gameplay sections, environments, systems, puzzles, and encounters are already implemented and playable. My current focus is on polishing the demo experience and continuing work on the final parts of the game. This includes improving atmosphere, refining visuals, expanding sound design, fixing issues, and making sure the overall experience feels cohesive from beginning to end.As a solo developer, every aspect of HAIGLA is created by a single person—from level design and 3D art to programming, sound implementation, writing, and testing. While this means development can take time, it also allows me to shape every part of the experience according to the original vision. The support I've received so far has been incredibly motivating, and every wishlist, comment, and share genuinely helps the project move forward. If HAIGLA looks interesting to you, please consider adding it to your Steam wishlist. Wishlists are one of the most important ways to support independent games and help more players discover the project when the demo and full release arrive.Thank you for following the journey so far. I'll continue sharing updates as development progresses.— THOs Dev

HAIGLA is Now Live on Steam

HAIGLA is now live on SteamI’m excited to finally share HAIGLA - a dark, atmospheric horror experience currently in full development.HAIGLA is built around tension, perception, and uncertainty. You are not just exploring a space, you are constantly questioning it. What you see may help you survive… or lead you deeper into danger. The world reacts in subtle and unsettling ways. Shapes shift. Sounds mislead. Something is always present, even when you can’t fully perceive it. Your awareness becomes your main tool and your biggest vulnerability. The game focuses on immersive exploration, environmental storytelling, and psychological pressure rather than relying on constant jumpscares. The goal is to create a slow, creeping sense of dread that stays with you. This is a fully solo-developed project, and I’m currently working hard on a playable demo that will showcase the core mechanics and atmosphere. The demo will be the first real step into HAIGLA’s world, and I want it to leave a strong impression. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, consider adding HAIGLA to your wishlist, it genuinely helps a lot and directly supports the development.More updates are coming soon.
