About this game

One Dice Dungeon Delve (ODDD) started as a physical prototype on a sticky note and a single d6. I attempted to create an infinite dungeon system where your gear and the dungeon both grow stronger the deeper you delve. Don't worry, the game does have an ending, but you can continue playing, should you choose to!

Every interaction, combat resolution, and loot drop is driven by the roll of a single d6.

True visual progression. The Layered sprite system ensures that every helmet, chestplate, sword, and cape you find is instantly reflected on your character sprite. Start your journey as a basic nobody and end it as an armor-clad legend.

ODDD isn't just about stats; it’s about tactical identity and class power fantasy. Choose the hero that fits your playstyle:

  • The Knight: Perfect your Parry. Automatically negate a strike and deliver a soulslike riposte once per floor.

  • The Archer: Piercing Shots and Rapid fire floor clearing. Line up your enemies to deal piercing damage through multiple enemies.

  • The Berserker: Fuel your Bloodlust. Gain temporary HP with every kill and chain-attack through multiple enemies.

  • The Paladin: Divine Aegis. The ultimate heavy-armor tank. Divine Aegis activates on a would-be death then a Shield Throw to crush foes across the room in a line using armor as damage.

  • The Brawler: Throw enemies into each other. Utilize the physics engine to grab, spin, and launch monster corpses as lethal projectiles.

  • The Gambler: The Dice Gambit. Risky gameplay. Activate Dice gambit to force all visible dice to home in and strike your enemies.

Death is only the beginning. Export your runs and share them with the community. Other players can then import your runs from the leaderboard to see your literal Ghost pathing through their dungeon. Learn from the board leaders or avoid the mistakes of the fallen.

This unique boss uses an "Absorption Slide" ability to launch itself down corridors, devouring monsters and loot to gain health and engage the player head on. It also comes in 5 colors!

  • One-Die Mechanics: A transparent combat system where every roll is visible and vital.

  • Procedural Mastery: Infinite dungeon generation that uses seeds to return to a specific dungeon layout.

  • Visual Loot: 50+ unique items that visually update on your hero in real-time.

  • Daily Challenges: Compete on global Steam leaderboards with a daily seed run.

Thanks for delving with us!

One Dice Dungeon Delve is out of Early Access. 1.0.0 is live

It's been a long stretch since the last public update, four weeks of work that never went out the door until now, all landing today in 1.0.0.The headline addition: the full Daily Card system, 22 cards, each one reshaping how a Daily Challenge run plays. The Fool cycles your class every floor. The Tower merges the whole dungeon into one connected sprawl. Every run shows what card you drew and what it's doing to you.Boss fights also got a real entrance. Walking into a Gelatinous Dice or Blood Dragon lair now triggers a proper cinematic reveal instead of the boss just being there. On the less flashy but more important side: a leaderboard data-integrity bug is fixed (a worse run could silently overwrite a better run's Steam entry; past affected entries are now repaired or clearly labeled), a rare tutorial softlock is fixed, and the game now writes a local crash report if it ever goes down, so a crash can be diagnosed from a real report instead of a guess. To mark leaving Early Access, the game is 30% off for the next two weeks. This game started as a physical prototype played with a single d6 and scrap paper. Early Access has been the process of turning that into something real, and everyone who played, reported a bug, or left feedback along the way is a real part of why this exists. Thank you for sticking with it.

One Dice Dungeon Delve: 1.0.0 Release Notes

This is the Early Access exit release. It has been a long stretch since the last public update, and this is the largest patch the game has ever shipped: four weeks of work that never went out the door until now. Everything below has been sitting in development and is reaching players for the first time in 1.0.0. Highlights - The full Daily Card system is live. All 22 cards are implemented and ready to reshape your daily run. - Boss encounters now have a proper cinematic reveal when you enter a Gelatinous Dice or Blood Dragon lair. - A serious leaderboard integrity bug is fixed. A worse run's gear and ghost data could silently overwrite a better run's Steam entry. That is resolved, and past affected entries are labeled and repaired. - The tutorial can no longer softlock your save. A rare but real bug could permanently block your stairs after finishing the tutorial. Fixed. - Local crash logging. If the game ever crashes, a report is now saved to your save folder that you can send us to help track it down. New: The Daily Card System Every Daily Challenge run now draws one of 22 cards, each one changing how that run plays: - The Fool: your class cycles every floor - The Tower: the entire dungeon generates as one connected sprawl - The Emperor: a Gelatinous Dice boss appears every 6 floors instead of every 12 - Death: survive one fatal blow with a one-time revival - The Lovers: recruit a one-time follower who fights at your side - The World: cycles through a different sub-card effect every floor - The Hanged Man: locks a floor's exit until a condition is met - The Hierophant: gates floor progression with its own rules - The Star: heals you when your HP is low - The Moon: reveals the full floor and freezes Minotaurs in line of sight - The Wheel of Fortune: spin for a random bonus or penalty - Plus The Sun, Justice, Judgement, The Hermit, The Magician, Temperance, Strength, The Devil, The Chariot, The High Priestess, and The Empress rounding out the full 22-card set, each ...
