About this game
Alchemy Survivors is a bullet heaven roguelike where you dodge swarms of monsters, unleash screen-filling attacks, and craft brand-new weapons every run. Combine the materials you find into powerful weapons and gear, then use your custom arsenal to survive the endless horde solo or with up to 4 friends!
You're an alchemist trying to survive in a world overrun by monsters. You'll find tons of weapons to help you mow down waves of enemies, but your real strength lies in alchemy: you have the unique ability to create brand-new items unique to your game install with 25+ specialized crafting workstations to discover.
EARLY ACCESS
The game is currently in Early Access and we're continuing to add to the game.
So far we've added:
88/99 characters to unlock
43/50 levels to explore
Hundreds and hundreds of enemies to discover
39/50 bosses to conquer
25/30 ways to craft
We're planning to exit Early Access on September 23, 2026. We have a lot left to build, and we want to hear your feedback and suggestions too!
BULLET HEAVEN COMBAT
Fight through waves of enemies in fast-paced bullet heaven survival combat. Your weapons attack automatically while you focus on positioning, dodging, collecting upgrades, and surviving as the screen fills with monsters, projectiles, and loot.

Every run pushes you to build a stronger loadout: mow down hordes, evade boss attacks, grab materials, equip better armor, and craft increasingly absurd weapons before the next wave overwhelms you.
CRAFTING
To get stronger and survive, you'll need to master the deep alchemy crafting system.
There are many ways to manipulate your items, typically through the crafting workstations you'll find while exploring each level. You can combine items into new weapons at a crafting table, craft specific pieces of equipment at an anvil, and do more wild alchemy at other stations you'll discover.
For example, you might find a wishing well that lets you wish for anything you can think of -- not just what's in the game right now. If you wish for an item inspired by Abraham Lincoln...

You can also wish for all kinds of new weapons and you'll see them created immediately and manifested directly into your game, ready for reuse in all of your future runs, too.
There are many ways to craft your perfect item... you'll just have to find and master them!
CO-OP SURVIVAL WITH FRIENDS
Why face the horde alone when you can bring the squad? Join forces with up to 4 players in full co-op, combine your uniquely crafted items, and even take on specialized game modes built for maximum chaos with friends.

1-4 Player Co-Op: Share the screen-filling action, combine wacky builds, and conquer runs together.
Co-Op Daily Challenges: Fresh modifiers and rewards every 24 hours to test your team’s coordination.
Specialized Co-Op Modes (Playable Solo or with Friends):
Genesift Rift: A fast-paced 4v4 MOBA-inspired game mode. Battle team-vs-team for rift supremacy!
Fort Knocks: A heavy-duty 1–4 player base defense mode. Fortify your perimeter, share resources, and survive unrelenting zombie hordes.
All normal game maps are also available to team up with friends on; or add bots to your party if you want to play co-op but have no friends!
CONTROLS
Arrow keys / WASD to move
[E] to interact with menus or objects in the world
[Tab] to view inventory
[Esc] to pause
Controllers also fully supported.
TIPS
Walk over the crafting table to start crafting (you'll need items and essence!)
Collect everything you can; you never know what will be useful later!
Defeat powerful minibosses and elite enemies to find more essence
Craft brand new items unique to your game install every time you use essence
Crafted items can show up in your future runs, too :)
The further out you explore, the more you'll find!
Team up in co-op to share essence and try wild weapon combinations!

Complete Graphical Overhaul (v0.23)
Hello, survivors! We've got a huge update this week that completely revamps our graphical engine; as we move closer and closer to our release date, we're hoping to go back through everything in the game with a fine-tooth comb and polish it up to the standards we want to ship with. This graphical rework is just the first step.Every level in the game has been redesigned with dynamic lighting, a pixel-perfect perspective camera, layered shadows, and animations. Gone are the day of a wishing well just turning blue when making a wish... everything is looking way better!Instead of trying to show you with a bunch of before/after screenshots, we've recorded a short video of each level before and after this overhaul:Besides the big graphical overhaul, we have some other smaller updates that are going out in this release as well.Good luck surviving; enjoy the update!Graphical Overhaul The rendering engine has been completely rewritten to support dynamic lighting, shadows, canopies/clouds, and perspective rendering.Gameplay Changes Ability upgrades no longer appear as level up choices until at least level 5 on any character.Harold's Adaptive Strike upgrade no longer flickers between elements on damage-over-time effects; the element is now locked in when any damage-over-time effect is applied.Shrine of Light now grants +10% light radius instead of +5%.Level Changes Completely redesigned the Trading Post to feel more like a bustling marketplace in a never-ending town instead of a bunch of random props in a field.Completely redesigned Jade Court to feel more like an open rural area to explore. It snows in Frostfall and Ancient Summit now, increasing in intensity the longer you survive.Enemies now spawn twice as far away from the player and run in from off screen.Added candelabras throughout The Quarry for a big source of health potions (and good lighting).Wishing Wells now have a new animation when in progress, and when your wish is granted.Bugfixes Fixed Basil using Saffi's Blight...Read full article on Community Announcements (Chroma Golem)AnnouncementsOfficial
The Survivors Fight Back (v0.22.0)
Hello, survivors! We're closing in on not only having all of our planned 100 characters in the game, but also abilities and ability upgrades for all of those characters. We want abilities to make each character feel unique, and ability upgrades to let you customize how those characters play even further. In this update, we're adding 2 new abilities to characters that didn't have one yet and a ton of upgrades to some existing abilities that needed some love.We hope this makes it fun to return to some of these earlier characters and play around with a new aspect of customizing your run: deciding which upgrades to take.Good luck surviving!...and here's what's new:New Character: Skip This kid's tournament yo-yo bounces from enemy to enemy, doing sick tricks when bouncing.Every bounce in a single throw raises that throw's damage by 15%.Land 4 or more bounces in one throw and Skip gets hyped with +20% move speed for 4 seconds.Unlock by surviving 10 minutes as Casey in any run.New Character: Nyx This human-shaped hole in reality lashes out with four short tentacles at once, in every direction, Cursing everything they touch (-25% enemy damage) and dragging it gently back toward their void.Enemies that die while Cursed get devoured, granting a permanent stack of Area and Might — and since tentacle reach scales with Area, Nyx visibly grows wider, hungrier, and longer-limbed the more it eats.Unlock by surviving 10 minutes as Vohl in any run.New Character: R-33D This decommissioned warehouse picker-bot fires its telescoping claw arm to stun and pull in distant enemies.Taking damage rattles spare nuts and bolts loose onto the floor; pick them back up to repair 6 HP each.Unlock by surviving 10 minutes as Harold in any run.New Abilities Freddy - Off the Wall: Every projectile fired gains +3 bounces, and each bounce adds +10% damage and +10% size.Basil - Stacked Deck: Level-up rerolls always cost 1 gold (never climbing to 2, 3, etc.), and the first reroll each level is free.New: Pers...Read full article on Community Announcements (Chroma Golem)AnnouncementsOfficial
New Survivors Are Here (v0.21.0)
Hello, survivors! We went ham on identifying and stamping out a bunch of performance issues this week to ensure the game runs as smooth as we'd like on all devices. But that didn't stop us from also adding in some more survivors to play with (yes, one of them is a literal train). We hope you are enjoying the game! Here's what's new:New Survivor: Sierra This armor-clad battle marine has a rechargeable shield that can shrug off damage and recharge itself if she stops taking damage.Wields a new Needler weapon, which explodes for additional damage if an enemy finds 6 or more projectiles stuck in them at once.Unlocked by blocking 50,000 damage with Armor with other survivors.New Survivor: JB This toad uses his long, sticky tongue as a weapon (and pulls closer any enemies it touches that don't die, so watch out!).Moves with huge leaps into the air, which deal damage and knock back enemies where JB lands.Unlock by surviving 10 minutes as Frog in any run.New Survivor: Thomas Gain a train car every time you level up.Each train car picks one of your weapons and fires it autonomously for you (the first train car fires your first weapon, the second fires your second weapon, etc).Crashing into your tail will send your train cars flying! Drive over each to recover them and re-add them to your train.Unlocked by walking 50km in runs with other survivors.New Shrine: Shrine of Shields This new shrine adds a 50-HP shield to any character that lasts for 5 minutes.Shield absorbs damage before your health, and passively recharges at 10 HP/sec after not taking damage for 4 seconds.Character Changes Added a new ability to Cassiel: Take to the Sky - Each time Cassiel levels up, she flies over enemies and obstacles for 10 seconds.Reduced base Magnet stat back to the baseline 1.0: Regina, Midas, Saffi, Zahra, Narcissus, Mira, Nez, Orin, Grimer, Scruff, Brock, Noo, Volta, Mauz, Sariel, Cassiel, Pyke, and Titan.Sproing still has double Magnet because his identity is collecting all kinds of scrap.W...Read full article on Community Announcements (Chroma Golem)Patch NotesOfficial
Maru Had Too Many Lives (Bugfixes, v0.20.1)
Hi all, here are some quick fixes we wanted to get in before next week's bigger update. Enjoy!Boss Changes Maru, the Tenth Life:Redesigned Maru's protective wisps make it more visually obvious that they will give their life to revive Maru when the boss is killed.Added 9 wisp pips to the boss's healthbar to represent how many wisps remain to kill.Added animations to Maru and his wisps that play when Maru is revived.Maru's wisps now revive him to 100 HP instead of 30 HP.Increased Maru's wisps HP from 10 HP to 200 HP. Bugfixes Fixed a bug where Maru, the Tenth Life would sometimes be unkillable, even after defeating him 10 times or killing all of his protective wisps.Fixed a bug where item tooltip rarity lines rendered with escaped unicode (e.g. as "Common\\u00A0Material" instead of "Common Material").Fixed a bug where Fallen Survivors using a Magic Wand produced projectiles that were hilariously large.Fixed a bug where the toolbelt wasn't centered at the bottom of the screen in some resolutions.Read full article on Community Announcements (Chroma Golem)AnnouncementsOfficial
