  New update and plans for the future!

  Hello everyone!Support for Hard Truck 2 continues, and we're excited to bring you a new update!This time the cargo is small, but useful nonetheless. We're adding Steam Cloud support so you no longer have to worry about losing your progress when moving between devices. We've also fixed issues in the logic behind several achievements that allowed them to be broken or unlocked in some rather interesting ways.And this is only one stop on our current route. At the same time, we're working on a whole range of features planned for future updates. Because of the game's age, adding anything new has become a non-trivial task that requires a very creative approach. Nevertheless, there's a good chance you can expect the following in upcoming updates:Steam Workshop support.An FPS limiter to prevent the game from breaking under the hood when running on modern graphics cards.A new graphics configuration tool that will run separately from the game.New achievements created from community suggestions and with major help from the modding community. For example, successfully bribing the mafia without any consequences!Steam Community Items! Trading cards, badges, profile backgrounds and emoji. New localizations.Speaking of modders, after the game's Steam release we've been contacted by an incredible number of people who continue to create modifications for the game even after all these years. They share their work, knowledge, and expertise with us, helping us find solutions where conventional methods no longer work.Without their knowledge and support, adding new features to the game would be far more difficult, and some of the things we have planned most likely wouldn't be possible at all. We'd like to use this post as an opportunity to publicly thank everyone who helps us with this work.And this applies to you as well, even if you didn't spend your youth taking the game apart piece by piece and instead simply enjoyed driving around and decided to revisit those memories years later.   New Icons for Achievements!

  Today we're coming back with a small, but for many important, update for the game.When the game launched on Steam, many of you noticed that the achievement icons were of low quality and, quite understandably, expressed your dissatisfaction with it.While this may seem insignificant to some, for many it was an important part of the enjoyment that comes from replaying a classic. After all, achievements have long been a part of Steam's cultural DNA.And we heard you! So please welcome the new Steam achievement icons:Every achievement has been updated, so now nothing will spoil the celebration of your hundredth contract or your first-place finish in deliveries!This won't be the last time we come back with pleasant improvements for the Steam version of the game.   Update and the message from Fulqrum

  Hi everyone! Today, we are releasing an update to a game made in the year 2000. In it, we fix the first two problems we were able to address - cutscenes and achievements. Both of those should now work properly on any platform, be it your PC or Steam Deck. At the same time, we continue to troubleshoot other bugs that players are encountering right now. We would also like to say a few words about how we ended up in this situation in the first place.The main idea is to preserve and make available an old but still beloved classic in its original form. We certainly expected interest from players, but the response turned out to be far greater than we could have ever anticipated.A huge thank you for that. This result once again shows how important it is to preserve and support classic games even after so many years.That’s why we ask for a little more patience if your particular issue was not resolved in this update. We are doing everything possible to make Hard Truck 2 comfortably playable in 2026.It’s important to understand that the game’s source code was lost over its 26-year history. Not all issues can be fixed on our own. However, the community already has solutions for some of them. Based on our work, we will compile an FAQ and include those solutions that players can use themselves if needed.And once again, a huge thank you to everyone who answered the call of the road and decided to take this nostalgic journey with us.
