About this game
Spright is an epic 2D metroidvania about descending into a vast abyss that twists against you the deeper you go. Equipped with only your diving helm, a longsword, and the tools you uncover along the way, you will dive head-on into a world that refuses to give way.
STEP INTO THE WORLD OF SPRIGHT
Starting at surface level, the deeper you descend into the abyss, the more the world twists against you — paths splinter, enemies grow stronger, and the world becomes ever more difficult to navigate/ explore
SPRIGHT IS DESIGNED WITH DIFFICULTY IN MIND
Combat is sharp, aggressive, and movement-driven. Slash through enemies, hammer armored foes, parry deadly attacks, freeze-to-death enemies with an ice gun, or even use a bazooka to deal extra damage
Many enemies in Spright are not hack-and-slash friendly and don't like dying! Some reflect, counterattack, become briefly invulnerable, evade your attacks, and can even grow stronger the longer the fight lasts!
5 unique hand-made biomes to explore, off-beat/ optional paths designed for completionists, and dozens of enemies to vanquish!
Early on, you'll meet tradesman NPCs which help stock you with health flasks and other cool items you can purchase in exchange for items in your inventory
THE JOURNEY BELOW
Slash, hammer, parry, dash, and outmaneuver enemies in fast 2D combat
Explore vast handcrafted rooms, ruins, and lost corridors
Take elevators from the depths into strange new areas — even beyond the sea!
Complete timed challenges that test movement, routing, and mastery!
You can collect health flasks, trade-in your items with NPCs, and/ or go on epic side quests with them!
Forge and upgrade your tools to survive deeper forbidden zones
Swim, dash, warp through space, and discover secret routes (you can even teleport?!)
Find shortcuts, relics, Crown markers, and optional paths built for curious players

-Fixed the room transition jitter-Fixed some zones causing stutters and FPS tanks-Removed the polygon generator in the entire Robot Factory biome, the "stuck in walls" bug will no longer be a thing!-Fixed the map not showing some NPCs-The map now shows neighbouring room exits, making it easier to traverse and explore-The map now always shows secrets in a room even if the player hasn't found them yet (this is only to help explore and find mandatory items which many players miss in first playthroughs)-Nerfed the Templar boss-Fixed the Robot Factory platforms not being jump-able-Fixed the "performance mode" setting being worse for your frames than the others-Made the inventory more user-friendly-Removed all enemies in the "Into Space" biome, it's more of a "mini pocket" rather than a standalone biome-You can now sell abilities to Terra-Increased how many carnival tickets there are in other biomesWe're aware of many animation-related complaints from players, we WILL make 'em better soon, dont worry :)There will be a few visual oddities in this build (some save slots being higher than they should be, but they're minor visual fluff that will be fixed very soon alongside the major animation overhauls)We'll also improve the soundtracks for this game in the next patch. We’re sorry for the terrible/ buggy launch, the game should now be stable, and mostly bug-free in this build. If you can, please leave a review (of any kind, positive or negative) so we reach our milestone of 10 reviews, which helps the algorithm too.We hope you enjoy Spright. have a great day.Best,The Studio Wallnut TeamRead full article on Community Announcements (Studio Wallnut)
