About this game
URBEX is a horror extraction game with CO-OP up to 4 players with a twist - THE MADNESS MECHANIC. You're a squad of cardboard-armored child adventurers travelling with their submarine to dangerous maps to collect TOYS and SUBMARINE PARTS to extract them to their cardboard fort base. Survive by utilizing stealth, teamwork and various items with unique capabilities.

During the run ENEMIES, MAP EVENTS and TIME raise your MADNESS level, causing you to go progressively more and more insane up to a point where you don’t know what is real and what is not. The longer you stay, the more chaos you experience.
You start hearing and seeing things which are not there some of them harmless, the others quite the opposite. However your madness levels are UNIQUE TO YOU - your hallucinations differ from the others. Beware of your madness meter filling up - it might get you in a really sticky situation.

The horrors prey on the weak and lonely, find yourself in a sticky situation and there might not be anyone to save you. Communicate together via proximity voice chat, but use it wisely - YOUR ENEMIES CAN HEAR YOU TOO. Pass items to each others, utilize your kits to your advantage or, should you have the soul of a traitor, use your arsenal to troll your team members. Who are we to tell you what to do?

Time waits for no one. The longer you stay, the harder the experience. Madness rises irreversibly higher as time goes by, plunging you into more chaos. Should you want the challenge, the game features multiple difficulties, making enemies more lethal, madness rising faster and time limits being shorter.

Your feedback = DONE!
📢 QUICK DEMO PATCH 📢 Heeeello everyone! We listened to your feedback and did some quick changes to the game, difficulty scaling and some hotfixes for the bugs! Most of the feedback & our observations have shown the first difficulty still proves a challenge too big for new players, so we tweaked the numbers and introduced some new mechanics. NEW MECHANIC - Enemy amount scaling The amount of enemies was previously the same for all difficulties, now their numbers scale with it. Difficulty 1 starts at 50% of the original enemy count and the OG numbers are reached by Difficulty 4.NEW MECHANIC - Quota per player difficulty scaling Formerly the scaling per player was also fixed for all difficulties, however after this update they scale with difficulties as well. This ensures that the easier difficulties are way less challenging in co-op.Toys quota On top of all the new mechanics, we tweaked the quota numbers for the Difficullty 1, 2 & 3, so that the game is much less harsh for new players, yet still provides a proper challenge later on.Submarine parts quota We've decreased the submarine part quota for the Difficulty 1 by 50% and Difficulty 2 by 30%, so that new players are not that heavily forced to venture across so many parts of the map, especially in co-op.We're also cooking up new features which will still be dropped in the demo, most of them also coming from your feedback, so stay tuned!Read full article on Community Announcements (Matúš)AnnouncementsOfficial
