Incremental arena manager. Recruit fighters from different realms into your arena. Earn fame. Upgrade the arena, level up your fighters, and add stronger enemies. Earn more fame. Invite nobles, kings, and even gods into the audience.
About this game
In "Farm the Fame" you do exactly that: farm fame.
You start with a dirt pit arena and one peasant with a stick. Your ringmaster spell is nothing special — just a little fireball following your mouse. Monsters are simple skeletons.
Then you start to progress.
Level up your fighters.
Upgrade the arena and invite nobles, kings, and even gods to the audience.
and much more:
Unlock powerful passive effects.
Turn your ringmaster spell into a nuke.
Hire jesters.
Summon drunk ghosts.
and more.
Eventually, you'll earn enough fame to summon The Champion.

This game need to be remade from scratch
I started this game because I thought it could be a good spin on incremental: you hire fighters, they farm some currency, you upgrade. But when I made it, it felt like an incomplete, lazy autobattler.I don't want to release a bad game. So I will rebuild the whole thing from the beginning, pivoting towards an autobattler. Fighters will stay, obviously. But the round structure will go. In the new design, you will go with your team into the tournament and probably lose the first time. But then you upgrade, hire new fighters, and go again. When you conquer one arena, you will go to the next. Fighters will have synergies between them. Depending on your team composition, you will get buffs for the whole team. There will be different kinds of fights in order to give you reason to experiment with team composition. But this depends I can't say when the new version will be ready, sorry. If you like the new idea, you can comment what you would also like to see there.Read full article on Community Announcements (Longthread)AnnouncementsOfficial

Big rework and public playtest coming
Hello, wonderful people!I'm still alive and working on the game. If you think it's worth it, please share it with someone who might like it. A huge update is in the process. There are multiple things that change the whole game:1) I reworked the whole upgrade system and went away from the classic incremental upgrade tree. Now progression is connected to the Arena level. You have multiple upgrades on for each arena level, and when you buy enough of them, your Arena will upgrade and will get access to the next tier. This way you can freely choose what you need right now: damage, new monsters, or more audience.2) You can cast spells now! After you buy the Spellbook upgrade, spell gems will start to spawn during the round. When you pick up one of them, you will get a spell bubble that you can drop at any place on the Arena. At the beginning, you have 4 spells: - Attack speed boost for your fighters - Poison puddle that created a damaging area - Chain lightning. I'm making an incremental game, and it has to have a chain lightning effect. - Explosion. Simple big boom that does big damage in the area. 3) I added Fame per second metric. When you achieve a new high score, you get Gold, second currency that you can spend for unlocking and upgrading your fighters and spells. 4) Unlocking fighters and spells are separated from arena upgrades to the second progression tree. If you are doing well, you can buy these upgrades and now wait for unlocking the new Arena tier.Open playtests are coming very soon, next week or maybe the week after that.Have a good day, and thank you for taking an interest in my game. It will be fun, I promise.--- Andrey, devRead full article on Community Announcements (Longthread)
