About this game
THE SYSTEM IS WATCHING
Escape from Vacov is a handcrafted 2D platformer inside a hostile surveillance network. You are a small escape unit. Vacov wants you banned. Every sector is a test — and the rules are never fair.
DON'T TRUST THE GROUND
What looks safe can vanish. What looks like an exit can be a trap. Crumbling floors, fake platforms, lasers, drones, and sudden slam walls force you to read the room before you commit.
SIMPLE CONTROLS. NASTY LEVELS
Just run and jump. No dash. No fluff. Dozens of hand-built sectors that escalate from tricky to ruthless — made for retries, muscle memory, and speedrunners who refuse to stay banned.
FEATURES
• Deceptive platforming — floors, exits, and “safety” that lie
• Fast, responsive run & jump controls
• Multiple districts of handcrafted challenges
• Pixel art server-bay atmosphere (teal tech, Vac red danger)
• Built for short runs, retries, and speedrun muscle memory
Can you clear Vacov… or will the system ban you first?

Patch — sharper look, fairer traps, achievements actually unlock
Hey everyone —This one is about how Vacov looks, how it feels, and three achievements that were quietly broken. Also the deceit floors in Hard Ban.LookAirborne dust is quieter so platforms and hazards stay readableStronger world atmosphere — sky wash, glow, floor hazePost tuned: bloom, vignette, grain — less muddy, more “server bay”FeelJumps and landings are snappier and more consistentOne-jump pads — first jump is free, second jump is the ceiling. Works at the edges and with hold-to-jumpJump-kill pads — any jump kills; walk the invisible floorBlink floors pulse forever again (they used to vanish and stay gone)Shove wall only grabs you on contact, then flings you backEarly laser rooms: red = stand still, blue = keep movingAchievements (fixed) These three were not unlocking correctly. Title: Patch — traps bite again, clearer lasers, Vacov laughs
Hey everyone — Small but sharp update. A few gags were soft, the blink floor got stuck solid, and Vacov was weirdly quiet about your deaths. Fixed. Fixes & tweaks One-jump deceit pad — second jump from the pad launches into the ceiling again (was unreliable) Blink platforms — they pulse on/off forever again (including the teaching level), not “vanish once and stay forever” Boss runway (flag 3) — spike stomp hangs up top ~3× longer; the slam is still as fast as before Default music volume — quieter by ~1.5× on fresh settings New / clearer Laser teach hints (early False Positive / amber levels) — red = stand still silhouette, blue = keep-moving silhouette above the beam System laugh on death — mechanical evil laugh when you die, with pitch/grit variation; can layer if you die again mid-laugh Thanks for the reports — keep dying, Vacov is listening.Read full article on Community Announcements (BunFlacher)AnnouncementsOfficial
