About this game
Plesiotopia is a wholesome simulation game about managing a marine sanctuary unlike any other: your residents are giant marine reptiles, brought back to life from the dinosaur era!
Build your own marine sanctuary
Construct protective nets, add new facilities, then welcome your new residents. You can equip your santuary with advanced sci-fi technology, such as automated food-dispensing drones, gene therapy, and more! You can also talk with your colleagues to learn more about them, their world and the marine reptiles you take care of.
Nurse iconic marine reptiles
Plesiosaurs, ichthyosaurs, mosasaurs... You can collect many species with scientifically accurate anatomy and behavior. You must attend to all their needs: feed them according to their diet, patch up their wounds, give them the right environment, and ultimately prepare them for your goal: the release.
Chose the best release location
Once you're ready, you can release your animal into the Pacific Ocean. Take their unique features into account: cold-blooded species will thrive in equatorial waters, but are not suited to the cold of the Alaska! After the release, you can still follow your former residents using GPS trackers.

New name: Plesiotopia!
So, what was wrong with the former name? The previous name of this app was Futabasaura. This was a way to reflect the fact that the main campaign of the game will be set in Japan: Futabasaurus is a famous japanese plesiosaur, a 9-meter long Elasmosaurid, and one of my favorite animals. In short, it made complete sense. However, after the Steam page went live, I've been informed of 2 major issues with this name. Number 1: it was hard to remember for non-experts, non-japanese speaking persons. I guess there's a lot of A in Futabasaura, and fossil names are notoriously difficult to remember. The second reason is a bit sensitive, especially if you are a child... let's just say that Futabasaura sounded too close to a category of radically different content. I wouldn't like people to play my game expected something else, or avoiding it because they believe the game is about something they don't like. What about the new name? The game has been renamed Plesiotopia. It comes from "plesio" as in "plesiosaur", which also means 'almost' in ancient Greek; and from 'topia', like in 'utopia'. This is a great fit, because the game will feature plesiosaurs (among other marine reptiles: mosasaurs, ichthyosaurs and even nothosaurs), but also because it will approach topics like climate change, biodiversity or large aquatic animal reintroduction in a science-based, yet hopeful, wholesome way.I hope you like this new name. More news are coming in August, so stay tuned, and don't forget to follow the app to get notified of the next updates!Yours truly,Ghislain 'Pleistogames'Read full article on Community Announcements (ghislain_pleistogames)
