About this game

Reel Goblin: A fishers Freedom.

A cute little, short story about a Goblins journey to return home!

Stranded on an island after an escape from Slaver mines, and a rough storm at sea, Gobbi the goblin wakes up on an island in the middle of the ocean. His only goal is to go back to his home island and reunite with his family!

Gobbi must make enough money to buy a boat to finish his journey back home; in order to do that, he must do the only thing on the island that makes decent money: Fish.

Visit all of the fishing spots the island has to offer, from freshwater to salt, and sell your haul to be able to afford a boat off of the island!

    1.0.3 Map and Bait fixes!

Patch 1.0.3 Fixed Map position issues and bait equip issues. Corrected an issue where when the player went to a location and entered a level or shop, and left the location or the shop, it would put the player back at the starting point of the map on reload of the scene. Corrected an issue where the quest progress indication in the map menu would not load properly. Corrected an issue where when you would go to equip any baits a flag wasn't being turned off allowing you to equip other baits, even if you caught a fish, or the line would break off. If you find anymore bugs in the game, please post about them in the discussion forms bug thread and I will work on getting them corrected ASAP. Once again thank you to all my players!

    Patch 1.0.2! Shop fix!

Few things corrected in this late-night patch. Fixed issue where the shop refunded your money after buying upgrades when you re-entered another level or the shop itself. Fixed issue where even if you had bait already equipped you could continue to equip more baits, effectively wasting all of your baits. Added the ability for you to "toss" or remove the currently selected Bait. Added wording to the Game Menu telling you how to "Toss baits" (Press 'L' on your keyboard) Removed accidental inclusion of "cheat codes" from previous patch that I use to test the game. (Big oof on that one!) Removed the "Release fish" button when catching a fish. It served no purpose as it didn't increase your score, or your money, and there is no need to have the option. Also changed the "Keep" button to just a "close menu" button as this served better reasoning for the game. Re-made the semi-ending of the intro movie with better assets. Corrected the Equipment shop prices. They were previously set to the demo prices, and have been set correctly given the amount of money you make for catching fish. (This may be changed in the future depending on how quickly I see players moving through the upgrade system) Corrected one of the NPC names that was incorrectly set from "Yugo" back to "Vay" to make more sense with the game progression. This was an oversight from the demo. And finally: Removed AI place-holder assets that were strictly meant to ONLY be in the game for testing. The items were hard deleted, so you shouldn't be able to find them even in the game files if you were to reverse engineer the game. (However, if you do find any that I might of missed, please post about it in the discussion forms. Thanks!) There are a few more bugs I'm trying to track down, however reproducing them on my end is turning out to be a real challenge. If you come across anymore, please visit the forms and post about it in the bug post that is pinned to the top of the discussion page. If you find any soft-locking ...

Patch 1.0.1 Quest Start/Save bug fix!

This is a small patch that was pushed to help correct the issue for quest save progress being overwritten. In the event that you caught too many of the quest fish before turning in the quest, effectively soft-locking progress.
