Planet No More Weekly Devlog #12
Hi everyone! First of all, this devlog is arriving a little later than usual. Friday turned into a very busy day, and by the evening we ended up celebrating with some of the other teams sharing the same game development ecosystem. We had a great time, but that also meant I missed our usual weekly devlog schedule. Sorry for the delay! This week, we continued developing the second-tier ships. We’ve decided to use "Super" instead of "Big" for these upgraded versions, so it’s time to officially introduce the completed Super Bazooka! Here is a look at what we’ve done this week:The Super Bazooka is now fully complete! You can obtain it by upgrading the standard Bazooka ship through its upgrade path.Compared to the regular Bazooka, the Super Bazooka is much larger, much more powerful, and capable of firing multiple projectiles in a single burst. More explosions, more damage, more space debris. What’s not to love? The Super Bazooka uses the same upgrade categories as the normal Bazooka, including damage, radius, fire rate, fuel consumption, critical chance, and critical bonus. Investing in the original ship’s upgrades will continue to improve its Super version too. What's Next?Next week, we’ll continue developing the ship roster. Also, there is a "Surprise Ship" waiting to be revealed... Stay tuned! If you haven't yet, please add Planet No More to your Steam Wishlist. Every single wishlist helps us with visibility and keeps the momentum going! Thanks for following our journey. See you next time!— Cos @ WiseMonkeESRead full article on Community Announcements (Cosunosuke)AnnouncementsOfficial
Planet No More Weekly Devlog #11
Hi everyone! We’ve had an incredibly productive week as we’ve officially implemented the fourth and final currency to complete our game's economy: Comet Orbs. We are really excited to see how this final piece of the puzzle changes the way you approach upgrades and long-term planning in the game! Here is a look at what we’ve done this week:We officially introduced the Comet Orb, our final currency type. You’ll be able to unlock it as soon as you progress to celestial bodies that possess a core. (Desert Planet)Once unlocked, you’ll earn these Orbs based on a chance roll for every pixel destroyed while damaging the core of a celestial body. We’ve added dedicated upgrades for these Orbs, allowing you to boost your Orb drop rate, increase the guaranteed amount per hit, and extend how long they stay on screen before disappearing. The most exciting part? Comet Orbs are the key to mastering your Comets! You will use these to buy upgrades that unlock specific comet types, increase their spawn rate, and extend their active duration. What's Next?Next week, I’ll be giving you a much closer look at the Super Bazooka ship! As we put the finishing touches on our other ships, I can’t wait to share those with you too. If you haven't yet, please add Planet No More to your Steam Wishlist. Every single wishlist helps us with visibility and keeps the momentum going! Thanks for following our journey. Planet No More Weekly Devlog #10
Hi everyone! As promised last week, we've officially started building out the new currency systems that will add deeper layers to Planet No More's economy. The first one is now fully functional, and it's designed specifically around your most direct tool: the cursor itself. Here is a look at what we've done this week:We've implemented the first of our new currencies: Cursor Shard. Once you unlock the relevant upgrade, every single manual hit you land with your cursor generates Shards. It's a dedicated reward loop for players who like to stay active and click.Cursor Shards are spent exclusively on cursor-related upgrades. You can boost your cursor's damage, increase its hit radius, and reduce its cooldown, all using Shards you've earned through your own clicks. You can also invest Shards into increasing the amount of Shards earned per hit, creating a satisfying snowball effect the more you engage with manual gameplay. On top of all that, we're designing some future cursor-exclusive upgrades that will also require Shards to unlock. We'll share more details on those once they're closer to being finalized. What's Next?Next week, we'll be working on yet another new currency to expand the economy even further. Stay tuned! If you haven't yet, please add Planet No More to your Steam Wishlist. Every single wishlist helps us with visibility and keeps the momentum going! Thanks for following our journey. Planet No More Weekly Devlog #9
Hi everyone! We have some absolutely massive news to kick off this week's update. We officially signed a publishing deal! Planet No More will now be published in partnership with Rogue Duck Interactive and GamerSky Games, so we couldn't be more excited about this milestone. This is a huge step forward for our tiny team, and we genuinely can't wait for you to see how this partnership elevates the game. Beyond the headline news, development has been rolling forward at full speed. With the entire comet system now finalized, we've shifted our focus to implementing the game's full economy system, specifically the multiple currency types that will drive your progression. We also dropped a brand new heavy-duty ship into the mix. Here is a look at what we've done this week:We officially partnered with Rogue Duck Interactive and GamerSky Games as our publisher! This is a massive milestone for us as a small indie team, and we are beyond thrilled for what's ahead. With all comet types and their upgrades now fully complete, we've moved on to implementing the game's multi-currency economy. To give you a proper breakdown of how it works, here's a quick overview of the two currencies already present in the demo:Scrap is your primary resource. When you damage a celestial body, every destroyed pixel generates Scrap based on its Scrap Value, plus a flat Scrap Guarantee bonus on top. You'll spend Scrap on ship upgrades and economy upgrades.Core is your progression key. You earn exactly 1 Core each time you completely destroy a celestial body, and it's exclusively used to unlock the next tier of celestial bodies. We're currently designing 2 additional currencies that will add entirely new layers to the economy. We'll go into full detail on those in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!Say hello to the Big Bazooka! Just like the Big Blaster before it, this is a massive, beefed-up evolution of your standard Bazooka ship. It's BIGGER, it's meaner, and it fires multiple projectiles in a single bur...Read full article on Community Announcements (Cosunosuke)AnnouncementsOfficial
Planet No More Weekly Devlog #8
Hi everyone! We’ve been working at full speed on the game this week. Our UI artist just headed back to their hometown for a well-deserved summer vacation. Meanwhile, the weather outside is scorching hot, our office AC is running cold, and I’m dealing with a bit of a stubborn cold myself... But the grind never stops! As promised, we kept our heads down to finalize the core mechanics. The final batch of comet types is officially wrapped up, which means we have finally shifted our focus to introducing brand new ship tiers. ALSO, it looks like we might have some incredibly exciting news to share with you all in the near future. Stay tuned, keep your eyes peeled, and get ready to celebrate with us when the day comes!!! Here is a look at what we’ve done this week:Added a highly requested utility comet! While active, it automatically vacuums up and collects every single resource dropped on the screen. Its spawn chance and effect duration will be fully upgradable. It's called "Collect Comet".This is the ultimate wildcard. When caught, it triggers the effect of one of the other 7 comets completely at random. We actually want this comet to have a slight chance of triggering a negative event too, but we haven't locked down the exact penalty yet. For now, it's pure reward, but the risky twist will be added as soon as we finalize the design! Naturally, its spawn rate can be upgraded. It is "Gamble Comet".We’ve introduced a heavy hitter to your fleet. The Big Blaster is a massive, significantly more powerful evolution of your standard blasters. You'll be able to unlock this beast by progressing through the standard blaster upgrade path, allowing you to deal colossal chunks of damage to celestial bodies. What's Next?Next week, we’ll keep our heads down and continue implementing new mechanics and content just like this week. I can't wait to share the next batch of features we cook up!If you haven't yet, please add Planet No More to your Steam Wishlist. Every single wishlist helps us...Read full article on Community Announcements (Cosunosuke)
