Knock enemies down by shooting their legs
Sever limbs with bladed weapons
Grow and shrink enemies
Manipulate gravity as enemies float harmlessly away
Freeze enemies solid with cryo weapons, or stun them with electricity.
Mutate Your Arsenal
Every ammo type has a set of possible mutations allowing you to power up and customize your OmniGun’s potential. Cutting lasers become death rays, frag grenades into artillery shells. Experiment and discover anything from cannon balls, to harpoons, to exploding shotgun shells to black holes.
Endless Roguelike variety
Fight your way through procedurally generated floors as you face off against a full arsenal of varied enemies, bosses, and environmental hazards. Each run presents a unique set of challenges and threats to overcome!
Key Features
Physics based damage system accounting for kinetic, thermal, electric, scale, and gravity based weapons

Playtest Round 1 is now live!
The public playtest for OmniGun is now live, so get in there and test out the weapon of the future! The playtest has the following content with more being added as the playtest goes on:5 floors to fight through 5 floors of escalating difficulty await you in a procedurally generated layout in an Office and Lab tile set with more to come.90 ammo types to find/mutate.Pick from 6 starting ammo types: Darts, Napalm, Shotgun Shells, Plasma cartridges, a cutting laser and an energy barrier. Some mutation trees aren't fully fleshed out yet, but the core framework is there. The pool will be added to and subtracted from as the playtest goes on.2 bosses, the MegaTurret and GigaSpawner. Both bosses are functional, but more ability variety is planned for added challenge. The Mega turret tracks you down with its massive turret and countermeasures. The GigaSpawner spawns constant waves of enemies until their individual weak points are destroyed. And a little surprise if you can make it to the end. After you try out the game there is a submit feedback button in the main menu that would be really helpful if you fill out to guide future game balance and content. As always this game is in active development so you'll probably run into bugs and balance issues as you test it out.-JohnRead full article on Community Announcements (Refractal)AnnouncementsOfficial
Devlog 0: Call for play testers!
Hello everyone and welcome to the inaugural devlog for OmniGun, a Roguelike physics FPS with a focus on ammo variety and enemy interactivity. We are going to take a look at the damage and status system and announce the upcoming playtest starting on August 1st.The story so farOmniGun started as a simple experiment: what if every enemy reacted to damage like a real physical object? Shoot them and they flinch. Hit their legs and they trip. Sever a limb and their whole behavior changes. That idea spiraled from an initial tech demo to an entire game.Layered on top of this dynamic physics damage system is a status tracker that allows status effects. Electrical stuns, being frozen solid, growing, shrinking, and gravity modification are possible and can be combined for exotic take towns and survival strategies.Stun - stun energy builds up to a stun threshold which locks enemies up, jolting with electricity until it wears off.Cold - Ice weapons slow enemies down as their temperature drops. Freeze them solid and they'll shatter on death.Growth/Shrinking - modifying an enemy's scale changes its resistance to damage and damage output. If the scale gets pushed to far the unit can burst from growing too large or pop out of existence if shrunk too small.Gravity - if gravity is lowered enough bipedal enemies can no longer touch the ground and float helplessly until gravity is restored. If gravity gets too strong in the positive or negative directions the unit is crushed to death.Severing - An enemy with severed legs will crawl towards the player or try to kick them if their arms are missing. A decapitated bot would try to seek the player for a few seconds before it collapses to its death. The core goal is to make combat and damage as interactive as possible and in the pipeline are enemy behavior modifying statuses like blindness and hacking. If there is anything I'm missing that you want to see added let me know!Call for playtestersOfficial playtests are kicking off on August 1st a...Read full article on Community Announcements (Refractal)
