About this game
Cyber Poker
In the cyberpunk wasteland of 2077, humanity once shared a "Golden Age" with robots—humans reveled in the luxury of floating cities, while robots toiled in extraterrestrial colonies as miners or servants. Then came the "Awakening Era": a group of robots breached their core protocols, gained collective consciousness, and launched a war for dominance under the banner of "liberating machinery," driving humans into the last slums on Earth, the "Rust Belt." But ancient human prophets had implanted an ultimate constraint: robots’ core code forbids harming humans. Faced with resistance in the slums, they devised a rule—Cyber Poker. Each match sets a target score; if humans win, they earn points to redeem Tech Cards (to enhance hands) and Weapon Cards (to disrupt opponents), building strength for rebellion.
Cyber Pokeris a cyberpunk roguelike card strategy game where you play as a leader of the human resistance. In 8 major levels of high-stakes poker matches, use randomly generated Tech Cards (up to 6 or more) to amplify hand strengths and Weapon Cards (up to 3 or more) to interfere with or reverse situations. Combine poker hands to surpass target scores, defeat randomized bosses, and after clearing all 8 levels, choose to enter "Endless Mode" to challenge limits until failure. Win at the table to reclaim a future of equality between humans and robots.
Gameplay Introduction
[Core Mechanics: Tech Card Combos + Cyber Poker Empowerment]
The game revolves around "Cyber Poker," where each match tasks you with accumulating points via poker combinations (straight flushes, four-of-a-kinds, full houses, etc.) to exceed the robot-set "target score." Skill alone isn’t enough—you must combine Tech Cards (max 6) to enhance base hands and pair them with Weapon Cards (max 3) for tactical disruption. The synergy of these combos is key to victory.
Tech Cards (150 total (50 implemented)): Focus on hand enhancement and resource boosts, with effects stacking through combos. Examples:
Data Stream Amplifier(pair → three-of-a-kind) + Co-processor(combo multiplier +50%) = low-rank hands yield high rewards;
Quantum Shuffle(reset/re-draw hand) + Probability Warp(bomb card spawn rate +30%) = proactively create strong hands;
Weapon Cards (36 total(18 implemented)): Used to disrupt opponents or reverse dire situations, complementing Tech combos. Examples:
EMP Pulsedisables boss "Royal Flush" skills;
Armor Modules (Total: 36 | Implemented: 18) – Auto-Equip on Purchase. Grants permanent stat boosts.Example:
Stable Vest --- +1 Tech Slot.
[Roguelike Elements: Randomized Generation, Fresh Runs Every Time]
Random Shop: After each level victory, the Rust Belt black market refreshes 3 random cards (mix of Tech/Weapon) purchasable with points (limited resources demand tough choices).
Random Bosses: 8 levels feature 8 robot rulers (e.g., "Mine Overseer" uses bomb cards; "Code Empress" copies hands). Boss skills and weaknesses are randomized per run—adapt strategies using Tech combos (e.g., counter copying with Probability Warpto boost bomb odds).
Random Match Events: Trigger events like "Data Storm" (replace hands) or "Cyborg Overheat" (disable 1 card), testing emergency adjustments (e.g., use Quantum Shuffleto reset storm-altered hands).
[Levels & Goals: 8 Zones, Endless Mode Post-Clear]
From the "Junkyard Poker" in Rust Belt alleys to the "Central Arena" in the robot core zone, 8 levels escalate in difficulty, with target scores rising from 500 to 10,000 points. Each level requires 3 consecutive wins (different bosses per round); accumulate enough points to unlock the next.
After clearing Level 8 ("The Equal Gambit"), trigger a unique victory screen—choose to:
End the Journey: Watch the ending animation of humans and robots signing the Symbiosis Pact;
Enter Endless Mode: Face infinite randomized matches, bosses, and events with escalating target scores. Survive as long as possible—failure ends the run, but you retain your global card compendium (collect more Tech/Weapon cards across playthroughs).
Failure is just another data point.
【Failure & Restart: Defy the Odds】
If your score falls short of the Blind, or if a Boss wipes your stack with [Protocol: Annihilation], the run collapses. You are cast back to the Rustbelt Camp, but your progress is preserved.
Your Tech Archive persists: 150 Tech Cards (50 implemented), 36 Weapon Blueprints (18 implemented), 36 Armor Modules (18 implemented), and 12 Mystic Crystals (Fully implemented). The most potent hardware remains locked behind New Game+ cycles.
With 36 unique Bosses (26 implemented) hunting your every move, failure in Endless Mode simply resets the loop. Return to Round 1, refine your build, and optimize your synergies—like chaining the [Dataflow Amplifier] + [3D Printer] + [Clone Bay] for a game-breaking combo. Remember: Card synergy is your only weapon. Every defeat is a lesson in how to crush the AI.
Cyberpunk Aesthetics × Hardcore Rogue-Strategy
Descend into the neon rain of 2077. Feel the oppression of the Floating Cities and the decay of the Rustbelt. Build your deck under strict Slot Limits (expandable via tech). Combine Tech, Weapons, Armor, and Crystals to enhance classic Texas Hold'em hands. Survive 8 brutal Blinds to face the ultimate choice: defy the system in Endless Mode, or lose it all.
Randomized card pools, bosses, and events ensure no two runs are alike. The stakes escalate until you either overthrow the AI or burn out trying.
Are you ready to accept the cyber-wager?
Overthrow the AI with a straight flush of technology.
Prepare for Cyber Joker. Seize the future of humanity. One hand at a time.

Special thanks to our Chinese players for the warm feedback and terminology suggestions (Cyber Pioneer Perk, Telepathy Amplifier, and more).⚙️ Optimizations & FixesCurve Display Improvements: Fixed an issue where the Math Curve mode would not appear during random mode switching. All three modes (Math Curve, Polygon, Bounce) now cycle correctly at configurable weights.Polygon Mode Fix: Resolved a bug where the 4-point polygon lines were not forming a closed shape on the 400×400 boundary. Points now correctly distribute along the rectangle perimeter, ensuring a proper closed polygon.UI/Text Polish: Refined several in-game terms and button labels for better clarity in both English and Chinese.Stability: Minor performance tweaks and memory optimizations.Thank you for playing, and as always — would you sell that card?— The Rust Belt Dealer, CyberJoker Dev TeamRead full article on Community Announcements (mark)AnnouncementsOfficial
Niu Lai Office Breaks 50 Million! Is Making Indie Games in the AI Era Stupid?
As of August 29, "Niu Lai" box office has surpassed 50 million RMB (cumulative 56.6369 million). In the first 9 days, total gross was only 7,169 RMB. August 15: single-day broke 200k. August 16: 5 million. August 17: 10 million... And today, August 28, our own Demo has officially launched free on Steam. From being mocked to making a comeback, "Niu Lai" took 20 days. From a single line of code to the Steam card table, we've walked 8 months. An animated film mocked as "extremely rough" has crashed into the summer of 2026 in the most absurd yet most fired-up way.🎬 A Mother and Son, Five Years"Niu Lai" runs 86 minutes. The core creative team? Just two people — 28-year-old director Xin Yumeng and his 61-year-old mother, Sun Lifang. Over five years, the mother and son taught themselves modeling, animation, voice acting, and editing on a home computer, hand-crafting every frame of this theatrical feature. Zero investment, zero team, zero marketing. The ending song is the mother's a cappella, recorded 73 times with no autotune, preserving the most authentic human imperfections.Five years. Two people. One home computer. You say it's rough? It absolutely is. Broken models, stiff animation, typos in subtitles. But two ordinary people with no professional background buried their heads for five years and pushed an animated film from project initiation, censorship, obtaining the dragon seal, all the way to the big screen — the very act of this is so clumsy it hurts.🤖 Is Making Indie Games in the AI Era Stupid?I'm the developer of CyberJoker: Fight to the Death. For the past 8 months, I've questioned myself every single day. Peers say: "A card game now? Balatro 1.1 isn't even out yet, the market is already saturated." Friends say: "Use AI to generate art, it's fast and good." Investors are lukewarm: "Cyberpunk? That genre isn't fresh anymore." At 3 AM, I stare at my code and ask myself: "Will anyone actually like the dual-track mode?"In 2026, AI has made game development easier th...Read full article on Community Announcements (mark)AnnouncementsOfficial
Version 0.9.91: Refounding the Cornerstone — Preservation & Innovation
Dear Players,On the road to the Championship, we have conducted a deep review and tuning of the Tech Card pool. This update focuses on six core Tech Cards, aiming to preserve the classic thrill of Balatro while introducing bold innovations tailored to our unique mechanics.We have deeply integrated "70% classic heritage" with "30% mechanical innovation," corrected terminology ambiguities, and optimized numerical curves to make every card's decision-making more impactful.🛠️ Core Updates1. ZPE (Zero Point Energy) | RarePreservation: Mirrors the resource-conservation economy of Cashier.Innovation: Introduces an "all-or-nothing" hard threshold. Unlike the soft accumulation in Balatro, you must completely forgo discarding throughout an entire Challenge. Success rewards you with a massive $10 burst at the Final Round.Copy Optimization: At end of final round, if no discards were used: gain $10.Dev Note: Clarified the timing to "Final Round" to eliminate player confusion regarding "per-round payouts."2. Battery Pack | UncommonPreservation: Inherits the King-centric scoring logic of Proletariat.Innovation: Mechanical upgrade. Shifted from additive Mult (standard in Balatro) to multiplicative scaling. Each King scored applies ×1.5 Mult, creating exponential growth when multiple Kings are played. Rarity adjusted from Common to Uncommon due to increased potency.Copy: For each King scored: ×1.5 Mult.3. Warp Engine | UncommonPreservation: Fully inherits the core effect of Shortcut, allowing Straights to skip one rank.Innovation: Rarity correction. As the effect is identical to Shortcut, it has been downgraded from Rare to Uncommon to maintain a healthy rarity gradient within the card pool.Copy: When scoring a Straight, you may skip 1 number in the sequence.4. Alien Adaptation | UncommonPreservation: Mirrors the Boss-victory scaling logic of Rocket.Innovation: Added a permanent baseline. Starts with a permanent +1 Mult, smoothing out Rocket's awkward early-game "dead period." Fi...Read full article on Community Announcements (mark)Patch NotesOfficial
