350 COPIES SOLD and HOTFIXES
Greetings Ballers! We sold 350 copies in our first week!!Thank you all so much for playing with our balls, we have seen some really good videos this week, though you have also helped us to discover some bugs here and there. These fixes are in direct response to YOUR feedback. We wanted to roll out some fixes as quickly as possible, here is what we have addressed:We have added a much requested feature - "RUN IN BACKGROUND" is now active by default, and is toggleable in the menu. You can now play the game even when you aren't playing the game. In some rare cases UpgradeABALL was not retaining the ball's upgraded values, this has been fixed. Just some loose wires in the back. We had several cases of Ballers in the community who made it most of the way through their run without discovering that CheXit could be used to inspect their balls!! As impressive as this is, it isn't the intended path - and we have added some documentation that should help players discover the feature. Improved the description of the BallAMPPRO to make the MAX LEVEL requirement explicit. Fixed a cheeky bug where players could retain their score from a previous run when starting a new run, enabling them to 'finish a run' in an un-fair, and unintended way. This has been patched, and the hacked high scores have been cleaned up from the leaderboards. Back to strictly legal ball play.Players were able to construct balls that would crash the game due to infinite loops within a ball. These balls will now just stop the cradle with a puff of smoke.Read full article on Community Announcements (nicolas9116)AnnouncementsOfficial
Thankyou For All of Your Support!
Greetings Ballers! First and foremost, thank you all so much for playing the demo. We got some really good feedback, and have incorporated as much of it as we could into the game. We will be pushing this late tonight, in anticipation of release TOMORROW! We hope you have as much fun playing this game, as we did making it. See you in the next (much bigger) one. Demo Build Update - Subtitles, VFX, and Sticky Notes
Hi All!Nic is back from holidays and with that we have been churning away another round of updates. We saw some obvious and not so obvious problems and have smashed away to get this to you as soon as we tested it to be ready. We always believe in making the play experience as best as possible. 'Good' simply isn't enough for us so here is what is now available in the Demo:AdditionsAdded subtitles when the Dr speaks on the megaphones. We kept seeing the speaker move and sometimes you're just in the zone so having subtitles optional helps pop you back out and tune in to what the Dr has to say.Added subtitles toggle to options menuAdded VFX for balls spawning from Lott'o'Baller. Nic had a brilliant idea that was so simple we can't believe we missed this from the beginning.Added trigger word popup when a trigger on the ball is successful. Sometimes it was difficult to recognise when an effect on a ball was a success especially with all the new VFX so this should help quite a fair bit.Added sticky note to tap so that players know it isn't a 'thing'Improvementsimproved score effect VFXImproved Chexxit to show context sensitive control glyphs instead of pure textImproved player movement speed by 20%. Even we were feeling it was too slow!FixesFixed infinite loop on copying of trigger other effects when the subsequent effect is also a copy effect on the last ball in the passFixed copy chain failing when a ball does not have a VFX component to it.Fixed megaphone sounds using the wrong sound channel. Intro and exit sounds are now controlled by the announcer sound sliderFixed ball appearing behind geometry on initial pickup.Fixed bad labels on machinesThanks for stopping by and hope your enjoy this update!Misch & NicRollmop Games StudioRead full article on Community Announcements (Crunchynut)Patch NotesOfficial
Demo Update: Visual Effects Galore!
Hey everyone, Misch here. Nic is still enjoying his Piña Coladas overseas so I'm here to keep you company with a great and meaningful patch for the demo. Lots of feel improvements and some important fixes based on early play sessions. All these improvements will make it to the full version. New StuffBall descriptions on CheXit now pop when the effect for that direction is actively being processed. Makes it much easier to follow what is firing and when.Added a little celebration moment when transitioning to the game over screen. You earned it!The room now has temperature fluctuations. Keep warm!ImprovementsVFX for Strikers and ball effects have had a massive pass. Copy chain effects will appear at the original ball where the copy chain started. The copy ball effect now also copies the secondary effect when one is present.FixesFixed player interaction and camera look continuing to process while the game is paused.Fixed a ball being able to swap with an empty space in the Cradle, UpgradeABALL, and BallAmpPRO.Fixed balls clipping through walls and surfaces when held and pushed against them. The ball now rolls along the surface instead.Fixed sequential copy effects in a chain crashing the game. Keep the feedback coming in! Tell your friends, tell your wives and husbands, as It is directly driving what gets fixed and what gets built next.MischRollmop Games StudioRead full article on Community Announcements (Crunchynut)Patch NotesOfficial
