About this game
FLICK is a first-person body-cam horror game scientifically engineered to spike feelings of dread. "Flick" light switches on and off within a long-abandoned house to instantly shift the environment from a safe reality to a blood-soaked echo where grisly puzzles manifest. But every flick of the switch is a gamble, for within the haunted memories of the house, something from the deep past has awoken…

Explore an oppressive home that serves as a physical record of past tragedies. What appears as a quiet, abandoned hallway in the dark twists into a gruesome tableau of atrocities the moment you flick the light switch. Wander through these fractured realities and sift through the blood and madness of the past to find a way out of the present.
Progress by flicking each room's light switches on and off. Toggling the lights alters the state of the room, shifting from a safe, clean reality to a horrific echo where keys, tools, and hidden paths manifest. But progress requires courage...
Something twisted is hunting you through the house, following the echo of your footsteps and the memories unearthed by the lights. However, you need the light to progress, making every flick of the switch a gamble that might summon the very terror trying to tear you apart.

Reality Shifting: Toggling a light switch instantly alters a room from a safe reality to a horrifying echo where critical items and mind-bending puzzles manifest.
Fractured Storyline: Search through the remnants of your family's desperate escape and unearth the sickening history of those who resided here long before you.
Immersive Environments: Navigate highly detailed, oppressive rooms where atmospheric lighting and deep shadows conceal threats around every corner.

Flick Discord Now Online
Hi everyone! After a ton of feedback, I thought it best to make a discord for Flick. This will help folks who playtest the game give solid feedback in an easy form that most folks are used to.I'll also use the discord server as a way to float ideas, invite members to private playtests (you didn't think this was the only playtest we'd be running, did you?), and send out exclusive updates. It'll also be a chill place to just come and chat about video games, game dev in general, and whatever else might be the hot topic of the day.So come for a chat and bring your good vibes. Thanks!Discord Link: https://discord.gg/VpteQzDUQRead full article on Community Announcements (Kev the Dev)AnnouncementsOfficial
Flick Playtest NOW LIVE
Finally!Wow. It's been a long time coming, but we finally made it! There have been some ups and some downs (as with all things game dev related), but the release of this playtest marks an important stepping stone in the lifetime of this game. A little about the playtest....I wanted to create a short experience that would really give players a good sense of the style of horror game that I'm going for. The keyword here being that it's SHORT. Like 15-20 minutes short (unless you enjoy poking your nose into every nook and cranny, then it might take a bit longer). Think of this playtest as a showcase. This is my presentation to you, before I drop a bigger demo, to get your take on the style of horror, the atmosphere, the sound design, etc. Basically, the question on my mind is: Does this game scare you? This is your chance to tell me what it's missing! Does it need more jump scares? More intricate puzzles? A better narrative throughline? VO?What would make this experience a top-tier horror game in your eyes?I didn't make a form for this because forms feel so one-sided and nobody REALLY likes filling those fuckers out. Instead, I want you to hit me up on social media! Send me a DM or reply to something I post on X. I want to have a dialogue with you guys, to chat about what makes scary things scary. To throw ideas your way and see what you think. This is my first solo devved game on Steam, so I really want to make this fun and memorable. And I feel like the best way to make that happen is to essentially give the people what they want! The road to this playtest was filled with woe...So here's the good lordy's honest truth: this isn't the initial playtest I set out to make. All those promo videos and screenshots? All the scary stuff I was sharing on social media? All the jump scares and blood and guts and voice-over trailer stuff? None of that is in this playtest. Why not, Kev? Where's all the stuff you spent months marketing?Well, I made it. I finished it. It's done. And I ha...Read full article on Community Announcements (Kevinluvsyou)
