About the Game
SURVIVE THE HUNT. BECOME THE HUNTER.
Intravenous 3 is a top-down action game about adaptation under pressure, blending deep, systemic stealth with brutal tactical gunplay.
Play as Steve and Sean forced to survive a relentless manhunt.
Adaptation is the key
Every mission can lead to a different follow-up scenario shaped by your actions, forcing you to adapt to new risks, new pressure, and new opportunities.
Blast your way through a mission, and you may find yourself trapped in a firefight on the way out. Stay unseen, and new opportunities will present themselves to you later in your journey.
Meaningful builds, deep weapon customization, and tactical gear
Shape Steve and Sean around distinct abilities, then expand your options with extensive weapon modification, specialized gadgets, and equipment that lets you prepare for silent infiltration or brutal close-quarters survival.
Smarter, deadlier enemy AI
Enemies react more believably to sound and movement, investigate disturbances, coordinate in groups, guard key areas together, and force you to adapt when the situation starts to unravel.
Adaptive soundtrack by Xtrullor
A dynamic new score shifts with stealth, firefights, and escape, intensifying every infiltration, chase, and desperate last stand.

Devlog #2 - Player Mobility
Intravenous 3 continues to polish and build upon various gameplay mechanics present in the first two games, and one such feature is going prone. Previously, going prone meant reducing your visibility and breaking lines of sight at the expense of total vulnerability, should combat find you. Intravenous 3 builds upon prone by allowing the player to use all weapons and most gadgets while laying down. This presents not only new possibilities for combat, but also stealth - no longer do you have to get up to use the HSR-EMP or any other gadget that disrupts electrical devices. This means more possibilities when it comes to picking the right approach to any situation, while maintaining full combat readiness should an enemy spot you at the most inopportune moment. However, prone is not without it's drawbacks, and once you start reloading a weapon you commit to finish the reload fully. One other introduction is the ability to vault over low objects and climb over tall objects. In Intravenous 1 & 2, the player could only vault over certain low walls and climb over certain high walls. In Intravenous 3 it is now possible to vault and climb over most objects. From a level design perspective, this means that players will be presented with more opportunities to slip by undetected - no longer should you look at an open window as your only path forward, or rely on prone and sticking to the shadows to make the next move. Devlog #1 - Enemy Reactions
With Intravenous 3, we continue to work on and polish the little things that made the previous two games fun. In Intravenous 1, enemies would react to noise made by the player instantly. This made certain elements of stealth rather annoying - the player would be punished for making the slightest mistake with an instant reaction. One of the improvements IV2 brought over IV1 were timed reactions to noise - the reaction depended on the type of noise and distance to the NPC. No longer were you punished with an instant reaction to noise the moment you made even the slightest bit of movement noise that just happened to be close enough to an enemy. Intravenous 3 expands on this - now, the time it takes for an NPC to react to noise made by the player depends on three more factors: the radius of the noise - the quieter the noise is, the slower enemies react to itenemy alertness state - relaxed enemies react slowly, but suspicious or alert enemies react quicker. Combat is where reactions are as fast as they are in Intravenous enemy stress level - an enemy may be alert, but not stressed - every time the player makes noise that is heard, or is seen, it increases an enemy's stress level - this is a system that was present since IV1, but has now been plugged into the noise reaction time. Given a high enough stress level, this can completely outweigh the other two parameters. These three new parameters mean that the player has a greater time window to finish any maneuver that would alert enemies. It is the type of behavior that makes sense - you wouldn't expect a relaxed person to react to the sound of a soft footstep as fast as someone who is in active combat.Lastly, yet another common criticism of Intravenous 1 & 2 was that should the player make enough noise, enemies knew exactly where it came from, regardless of how far away it was - this was mostly applicable to gunfire. And it is an absolutely valid point - it makes no sense for enemies to know exactly where the player is, if...Read full article on Community Announcements (Supertehteh)AnnouncementsOfficial
