About this game
"Please, Press the STOP BUTTON!!!"
Catverse is a 3-4 player party game where players become the brain cells of a quirky cat to control its actions.
The cat constantly moves based on the combination of lights in the rooms of its mind. Thought you safely landed on the next platform? Did the other players think so too? The cat's state of mind changes the moment someone presses or releases a button. And when the state changes? The cat will immediately do something wildly unpredictable. But you can't just stand still, either! Standing still in a room might be the exact right move, or standing still itself could trigger a specific action combination. You pressed a button to prevent a mistake? Well, turns out that was the 'long jump to the leeeeft' button. Cats are unpredictable by nature, right?
Key Features
Simple Controls

Once the game starts, your only job is to turn the room lights on and off! Everything happens with just a click of a button. You can easily recommend this to anyone, regardless of age—especially someone you want to get closer to.
The Cat's Behavior

The cat is always on the move depending on the light combinations in its head. It might jump, or it might just walk. If its mind gets too tangled, it might just do a "cat loaf" or take a stretch. Because the cat never stops moving, players must constantly communicate, strategize, and act accordingly to pull off the right moves. Wait, the person you wanted to get closer to couldn't keep up with the plan? And the cat just double-jumped you all the way back to the starting point? Congratulations. This is a great opportunity to get really close.
Various Cats with Their Own Universes
There isn't just one cat! And as we know, every cat lives in its own world. As you clear stages, you'll meet a variety of cats, each with their own unique universe and rules!

We are reworking the tutorial.
We completely burned through all our allocated resources (both time and budget...) for the March launch, so we spent the entire month of April away trying to recover and refill the tank. While we haven't exactly recovered everything yet... I made the discovery of watching your gameplay videos.Honestly, I thought that if we made the tutorial proceed in a single, straightforward path, it would be much easier for people to learn the game.But... yeah. I was completely wrong. I am sorry. I had no idea the game would turn into such a grueling, heavy-lifting chore... I really should have playtested the tutorial myself much more and thought it through. Therefore, we are overhauling the tutorial. We will be changing the stage layouts and breaking the gameplay down into smaller, easier-to-digest segments. On top of that, we are going to release the tutorial as a standalone Demo version. Please feel free to enjoy it for free.We will be back with this update very soon.We will use this experience as a stepping stone. If we keep steadily improving, we know the game will get much better.Thank you!Read full article on Community Announcements (OVFL)Patch NotesOfficial
April 2, 2026 – Official Release and Bug Fixes
- The game has officially launched. - Fixed a bug where the host's text was displayed incorrectly during the tutorial. - Fixed a bug where scrolling in the stage selection didn't reach all the way to the end. It really was a hidden stage after all. - Fixed an issue where players were bumping into each other too roughly due to excessive friction between them. - Fixed an issue where players were sliding on the rails in rail stages. They now stay firmly on the switch.Read full article on Community Announcements (OVFL)Patch NotesOfficial
2026.03.10. Demo Patch, Temporary Release Schedule Adjustment
- Voice channel now works. - We've temporarily adjusted the release schedule due to a rating review process. As we don't know exactly when the review will be completed, we've pushed the date back for now, but we'll readjust it as soon as the review is done.Read full article on Community Announcements (OVFL)Patch NotesOfficial
2026.03.03. Demo Patch
We thought the gameplay experience was quite different between 2 players and 3 or more players. (3+ players is really fun!) However, finding one person versus finding two people presents a disproportionate level of difficulty. So we've modified the demo to allow play starting from 2 players. Try it out first, and if you like it, grab one more person to try 3-player mode! Also, we thrive on feedback from you, our players. We're bored, so bored. To improve accessibility to feedback channels, we've added an in-game Discord link. Of course, we can't force anyone... but if you come, we'd welcome you!Read full article on Community Announcements (OVFL)Patch NotesOfficial
2026.02.25. Demo Patch
- Chinese Simplified/Traditional is now supported! - Sometimes players get stuck during gameplay. We've added an Emergency Escape Button for this, but we realized it was too hidden... Now it's visible right when you open settings! That's the Unstuck button! We probably should've just prevented getting stuck in the first place... 😭 - Fixed settings and other UI to respond more consistently when pressing ESC.Read full article on Community Announcements (OVFL)
