A New Vision for Home Store Simulator

Hello, Store Owners! 🏠Today, I want to share a bigger vision for the future of Home Store Simulator that I am genuinely excited about. One important part of this vision is TVs. For a while now, some players have been asking for TVs to work as Display Models. This is actually something I have been thinking about for quite some time as well. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that this could become much more than simply changing the way TVs are sold.I don't want your store in Home Store Simulator to eventually feel like nothing more than a large building filled with products. I want it to increasingly feel like a real home furnishing store, where you can create different living spaces and design your store in your own style.📺 TVs as Display ModelsCurrently, TVs are placed on TV Stand furniture, and customers purchase the TVs directly from those stands.I want to change that.My plan is to remove the current TV Stand system and make TVs work as Display Models instead. You would place a real TV in your store for customers to see and inspect. When a customer purchases that TV, however, the displayed model would remain in place. The sold TV would instead come from your boxed stock in the Warehouse.Just like you would expect in a real home furnishing store.🛋️ Real TV Furniture Instead of TV StandsI also want to replace the current TV Stands with proper TV cabinets and TV units that can become a real part of your store's interior design.Because this isn't only about where a TV is placed. It's also about what kind of space you can create around it.Imagine creating a display area with a sofa, armchairs on each side, a beautiful Coffee Table in the middle with a vase on top, and a TV unit directly across from them with a TV displayed on it.At that point, you are no longer looking at a few products placed next to each other. You are looking at an actual living room that you designed inside your store. ❤️That is one of the directions I want Home Store Simulator to mo...

    v0.1.2 Hotfix 1

Hello, Store Owners!v0.1.2 Hotfix 1 is now available. After the release of v0.1.2, some players reported serious issues with employee behavior. I have been working continuously and carefully on these reports, and I have now been able to identify and fix the problems.I am genuinely sorry to everyone whose gameplay experience was affected. I know how frustrating it can be when employees stop working correctly, and I wanted to make sure I properly understood the problem before releasing the fix.Employee AI FixesRestocker Stocking Loop: Fixed an issue where Restockers could take a box, open it, fail to stock the products, load the box back onto their trolley, return, and then repeat the same process again.Workers Spinning in Place: Fixed an issue that could cause some employees to continuously turn around themselves instead of continuing their work normally. The Restocker issue in particular was not affecting every player. It could occur depending on the layout of the player's store, which made it especially difficult to reproduce consistently. Since every store can be arranged very differently, one player could experience the problem while another player might never encounter it at all.To properly investigate this, I received save files from players who were experiencing the issue and personally played those saves myself. Being able to reproduce the problem inside the affected stores helped me identify the cause and confirm the fix under the conditions where it was actually happening.I am also continuing to improve the employee AI system beyond this specific hotfix. I am making the system more resilient against unusual situations and possible failures so that employees can recover more reliably instead of becoming stuck in repetitive behavior.I care deeply about your experience and about everyone who has supported Home Store Simulator. I read your reports, investigate the problems you encounter, and I will continue doing everything I can to make the game better with ever...

    Update v0.1.2

Hello, Store Owners!Update v0.1.2 is now available. This is the most extensive update for Home Store Simulator so far, with major changes to customer flow, Customer Satisfaction, employees, the economy, stock management, progression, save reliability, performance, and many other areas of the game.As always, I have been listening very closely to your feedback. I read your Steam discussions and Discord messages, follow your bug reports and suggestions, and also watch gameplay videos to see how different players experience the game. Many of the changes in v0.1.2 were made directly because of the feedback you shared with me.Thank you to everyone who has been reporting problems, sharing ideas, participating in Public Tests, and helping me improve Home Store Simulator. What's NewNew Customer Satisfaction System: A completely new Customer Satisfaction system has been added. Customer Satisfaction now directly affects how many customers visit your store each day. High satisfaction can increase customer traffic, while low satisfaction can reduce it. Product Variety, pricing behavior, and how you treat your customers all play a role in maintaining satisfaction.Product Variety: Product Variety is now an important part of Customer Satisfaction. The system evaluates the different product types available in your store rather than simply counting different models. Offering a healthy variety of products is now an important part of growing a successful store.Dynamic Customer Flow: The customer flow system has been significantly reworked. Daily customer traffic is now much more dynamic and is influenced by factors such as Store Expansion, checkout capacity, and Customer Satisfaction.Pricing App: The previous Stock App has been changed into the Pricing App. It is now focused specifically on product pricing and includes additional filtering options to make price management easier and more organized.Shopping App & Smart Stock Tracking: Stock tracking has been integrated directly into the ...

    What’s Next?

Hello, Store Owners! Before releasing v0.1.2, I wanted to share what I’m currently working on and what you can expect from the next update.I read your feedback very carefully, whether it comes through Steam, Discord, email, or elsewhere. Your ideas, criticism, suggestions, and bug reports are extremely important to me, and several of the changes below are being worked on directly because of the feedback I’ve received from you. Please keep in mind that the things mentioned in these "What’s Next?" posts are not necessarily everything that will be included in the next update. These are simply the main areas I’m currently focusing on. Alongside them, I will continue fixing the bugs you report, working on smaller improvements, and reviewing your suggestions whenever possible before the update is released. Think of these posts as an early preview of the main things currently being worked on.Stock App OverhaulThe Stock App is being completely reworked for v0.1.2.With the updated app, you will be able to track your inventory in much more detail and clearly see the available stock both in your store and your warehouse. You will also be able to quickly see which products are currently out of stock in your store and order those products directly from the app. The goal is to make stock management much faster, clearer, and easier as your store grows.More Dynamic Customer TrafficI’ve received a lot of feedback about the number of customers arriving each day, especially that the daily customer count can currently feel too similar from one day to another.I’m changing this system for v0.1.2.Customer traffic will become much more dynamic and will be influenced by multiple factors. As you expand, improve, and develop your store, I want you to actually feel the difference in the number of customers visiting your business.Growing your store should feel meaningful, and increased customer traffic should be part of that progression. This system will continue to be developed and balanced based...

    Important: How Display Models Work

Important: How Display Models WorkHello, Store Owners!I want to clarify how the Display Model system works, as I have noticed that this mechanic is causing some confusion, especially for players who previously played the demo.In the demo, large products such as washing machines, refrigerators, freezers, sofas, and armchairs were placed directly in the store and sold as physical units. In the Early Access version, this system has changed. These products now use the Display Model system. How Display Models WorkPlace at least one Display Model of the product inside your store.Keep the actual product stock in closed boxes inside your Warehouse.Boxes that are still inside the Delivery Truck or located at a Loading Dock do not count as available stock. They must first be unloaded into the Warehouse.Customers inspect the Display Model, but they do not take the physical Display Model with them. When a customer purchases the product, one unit from your Warehouse stock is sold. The sold product is then moved to the Outbound Area and automatically delivered to the customer at the end of the day.You can also place multiple Display Models of the same product if you want several customers to be able to inspect that product at the same time. What Is the Outbound Area? The Outbound Area contains products that have already been sold to customers. These products no longer belong to your available store stock. You do not need to interact with them. They are temporarily stored there and will automatically be delivered to customers at the end of the day. What Is the Box Holding Area? The Box Holding Area serves a different purpose. You do not need to store your Display Model stock there. It is mainly used as a temporary safe area. For example, Restockers can leave partially used boxes there so they can use them again later. Products may also be moved there safely when you leave the game while customers or employees are still carrying them. For Display Model products, simply keeping the closed boxe...
