About this game

Gameplay:
Build It Up! – The Holy Roman Empire is a medieval simulation combining city-building, resource management, strategic battles and sieges.
Start as a small landowner with only a few settlers and struggle to survive your first winter. By gathering resources, building production chains, and trading wisely, you provide your people with the goods they need. Step by step, your village grows into a prosperous city in the heart of the Holy Roman Empire.
To maintain an army, you need plenty of food, weapons, and a large population. Expand and construct specialized villages and cities to increase productivity and secure strategic resources. Build fortresses to protect nearby settlements and defend your cities with walls and towers. Conquer other towns and villages with soldiers and siege engines—or wield the power of diplomacy to achieve your goals without bloodshed.
As your power, fame, and influence with the Church grow, you earn the electors' vote and ascend as Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire!
Detailed Economic Simulation:
Buildings are constructed step by step, from foundations to rooftops.
Workers gather resources, produce high-quality goods, and transport them across the world.
Create organic settlements, care for your people, and manage thriving cities.
Dynamic Fields:
Design dynamic fields with any number of points and adapt them to terrain, roads, or buildings.
Not just fields, you can also create livestock enclosures or even a cemetery!
Craft realistic landscapes and make optimal use of available space.
Variety of Building Materials and Color Options:
Construct buildings from wood, stone, brick, thatch, and mortar, depending on available resources and architectural style.
Use different color variations to design your cities exactly the way you want.
Nearly every building from houses and churches to walls and towers can be customized.
Seasons and Weather:
Spring, summer, autumn, and winter not only change the look of your world but also affect gameplay.
Plan your food supply and store provisions during the warmer months.
Snow and freezing temperatures during a winter campaign can shatter even the mightiest armies.
Wars and Battles:
Raise an army and lead large forces into battle.
Use various formations and tactics to gain the upper hand.
Choose from different unit types, including archers, swordsmen, and cavalry.
Sieges and Destruction:
Fortify your cities with walls and towers. Build fortresses to protect your villages.
Construct powerful siege engines to breach defenses and conquer enemy settlements.

Development Update #1: Five Months of Progress!
Development Update #1: Five Months of Progress! It has been about five months since I launched the Steam page, and I am incredibly grateful for the amazing support and all the wishlists the game has received so far. Since then, a lot has happened, and I would like to share some of the progress with you.One of the biggest milestones has been performance. From a technical perspective, the engine is now capable of simulating up to 65,000 individual inhabitants and soldiers at the same time. This is far beyond what players will typically encounter during normal gameplay, where populations will usually be much smaller as intended by the game's design. Reaching this scale is an important technical achievement and gives the game plenty of performance headroom, ensuring a smooth experience even in large, late game cities and massive battles.Formations and soldier behavior have also been improved, making battles smoother and more responsive. Alongside that came many general performance optimizations throughout the project.Several new buildings, production chains, and a completely redesigned medieval themed UI have also been added, replacing the old placeholder interface.Outside of development, I have been focusing on marketing to build awareness before the demo. The Twitter campaign has been especially successful, and I have also been in talks with several publishers.Everything is moving toward one major goal: finishing the demo. The project is making great progress, and I am excited to show you what is coming next.Thank you all for your continued support. Every wishlist, comment, and message keeps me motivated to keep building the game.More news will be coming soon, including details about an upcoming Steam playtest and how you can participate. If you'd like to follow the development more closely and be among the first to hear about new features, updates, and the upcoming playtest, I'd love to welcome you to the official Discord community!Read full article on Community Announcements (Tec Enterprise Games)
