About this game

Terraforming
Construct massive mechanical structures to overcome the natural disasters that ravage the fantasy world. Calm raging tornadoes, stabilize floating islands, and control extreme environments to unlock new regions. With your technology, transform a desolate world into a paradise that serves as both a home for humanity and a source of resources to sustain its civilization.
Fantasy World Exploration
From floating islands and raging tornadoes to frozen tundras, molten lava fields, and lightning-scarred unknown lands — explore a mysterious and perilous fantasy world to uncover hidden resources and discover new frontiers.
Resource Gathering and Tool Crafting
Mine minerals and resources scattered across the planet to craft the equipment and tools needed for survival and expansion. More powerful gear enables access to new resources and allows exploration of increasingly dangerous regions.

Developer Note/Letter
Hello everyone! We're DreamCraft Studios, the team behind Terra Taker. It's hard to believe that it's already been six months since our Steam store page first went live. To everyone who has wishlisted the game and followed our development along the way, thank you so much for your continued support. Since this is our very first dev note, we'd like to take this opportunity to give you a quick look at what we've been working on over the past six months.🌱 Development at a GlanceOver the past six months, we've been designing and implementing automation systems, shaping the natural environments of planet Terra, redesigning buildings, and overhauling our UX/UI.The screenshots below show just how much the game has changed since our Steam store page first went live.🪐 Bringing Planet Terra to LifeWe've spent a lot of time thinking about how to bring Terra's natural environment to life in a way that captures the experience we want players to have. Our goal has been to strike a balance between the tension of exploring and pioneering an unfamiliar planet and the untouched beauty of a pristine world. We began by studying vegetation and environmental references from a wide range of games and films. From there, we developed those ideas further to create environments that feel uniquely our own.We take a similar approach when designing the buildings used in our automation systems. We begin by capturing the overall look and feel through concept sketches, then gradually add finer details during the modeling process.Bit by bit, we're shaping Terra into a world with a visual identity of its own.🛠️ Refining the Crafting UIA crafting game needs a UI that can accommodate many different situations, as the information players need changes depending on what they're doing. With that in mind, we broke down our UX/UI and designed dedicated screens for each situation, one by one. We wanted the UI to feel familiar and intuitive to players who know their way around crafting games, while still reflectin...Read full article on Community Announcements (jmlee)
