About this game

Cross-play with Android players. The game is free on Android, so invite your friends on mobile to join the fight!

Type to Fight. Fight to Win!

Typers Combat is a fast-paced typing game where every keystroke is a weapon. Battle enemies, climb the ranks, and prove you're the fastest typist alive — all through the power of your keyboard. Your typing speed and accuracy directly control your combat damage. Build combos, dodge attacks, and destroy waves of ASCII enemies in an arena where words are weapons.

How It Works

Sentences appear on screen. Type them correctly and you deal damage. Type faster for bigger combos and more destruction. Make a typo? Your combo breaks and enemies close in. It's simple to learn, impossible to master.

Game Modes

  • Campaign Battle through waves of increasingly dangerous enemies. Each wave brings tougher foes with unique ASCII portraits and higher WPM demands.

  • Survival Enemies never stop coming. How long can you last?

  • VS Live  Fight real players in live PvP. Your damage is their pain. ELO-ranked matchmaking puts you against opponents at your level.

  • VS CPU Fight computer opponents tailored to your ELO ranking!

  • Accuracy Mode One single typo and it's game over. How far can you go with perfect accuracy?

  • Time Attack 60, 90, or 120 seconds on the clock. Type as many sentences as possible before time runs out!

  • Daily Challenge A new unique challenge every day. Compare your score with the community.

  • Practice No enemies, no pressure. Just you and the keyboard, improving your WPM.

  • Ghost Battles  Share ghost codes with friends and fight their recorded performance anytime.

Rank Up & Compete

Fight your way through six competitive tiers — from Bronze to Master. Every online match adjusts your ELO rating. Win against higher-ranked players for bigger jumps. Leaderboards track the best across all game modes.

Fight Your Friends

Add friends with a simple friend code. Challenge them to live matches or battle their ghost data. See their stats, their rank, and their portrait — then beat them.

Customize Everything

Earn gold from every match and spend it on: 25+ Portraits

ASCII art characters from the Rookie to the Apex Dragon. Unlock them by clearing waves, completing challenges, and climbing ranks.

Frames & Colors Customize your portrait border and art color. Mix and match to create your signature look.

Titles Earn titles like "The Untouchable," and "Speed Demon," through gameplay achievements.

No loot boxes. No gacha. You earn gold by playing and buy exactly what you want from the store.

Steam Exclusive Perks:

Steam players automatically receive the Supporter Pack — a collection of premium cosmetics including rainbow art colors, the Supporter portrait frame, exclusive titles, and gold name color. It's our way of saying thanks for buying the game. Want to go further? The Ultimate Pack unlocks the Apex Dragon portrait, Supreme gradient frame, Inferno color, and the exclusive ✨ Glow Mode that adds a pulsing brightness effect to any color you choose.

June 2nd, Language and VS Live Updates

🌐 Now in 5 languages Full support for English · 中文 · 日本語 · 한국어 · Español — auto-detects your device language, switchable anytime in Options. Every sentence is real English with a hint in your language above the line, so you sharpen your typing and your English at once. Locale leaderboards — rank within your language or on the global combined board. You're matched and ranked with players who speak your language (English players can match anyone). Friends and profiles now show a small language badge. 👻 Ghost VS — VS Live never dead-ends No live opponent within 10 seconds? You'll now face a ghost — a replay of a real player's actual run (their real speed, combos, and pacing), not a generic bot. Ghost matches award half ELO. Even at launch or in quiet hours, there's always a match waiting. ⚔ Live VS Invites (new) Hit Find Match and players sitting in the menus get a small, dismissible invite to fight you — more real matches, far less waiting. Each invite shows the challenger's ELO and rank with a ▲ Higher / ≈ Even / ▼ Lower tag, so you read the matchup at a glance. These are full-ELO matches — it's a real person. Invites can also appear during single-player modes (never during an active match), and there's an on/off switch in Options → Live invites. Desktop: press Tab to accept without reaching for the mouse. 🎯 Smarter matchmaking Search now widens the longer you wait — it starts at your rank and expands outward until it finds someone, so very high or low ranks no longer get stuck. The VS screen shows a live "● online · looking" counter. 🛠 Fixes & polish Fixed a typing bug where a dash — or certain external/Bluetooth keyboards — could score a correct key as a typo and quietly drain your HP. Typographic dashes and smart quotes are now accepted. The in-game feedback form now actually sends, and offers a one-tap Rate button. Fixed the VS search timer bar, and hardened matchmaking so two players can never grab the same opponent.

    May 31st, Language Update!!

🌍 Now in 5 Languages + 👻 Ghosts in VS Live Play in your language — EN · 中文 · 日本語 · 한국어 · Español Typers Combat now auto-detects your language on first launch (switch anytime in Options → Language). It's a full localization, not just menus: sentence pools, the hint above each line, tutorials, challenges, titles, characters, and leaderboards are all translated. You're still typing English — the hints are there to help you learn. 👻 No more empty queues — meet the Ghosts VS Live search is faster (now ~10s), and if no live opponent turns up, you'll instantly face a Ghost — a replay of a real player's recorded run (their actual typing pace, combos, and pressure) picked near your rank. Ghost matches count for half ELO, so the ladder keeps moving even in quiet hours. Every VS match you play quietly records your own ghost for someone else to fight. Cross-language matchmaking English players can be matched into any language's queue (you'll see the same sentences, just without the hints), which keeps every region's queue lively. 中文 / 日本語 / 한국어 / Español players stay matched within their own language. Also in this update Faster VS Live matchmaking (search trimmed to ~10s) Per-language leaderboards — compare against your language or go global Friends now show a language badge Fixed: the in-game feedback form now actually sends 🙂

Update Notes for May 15, 2026

Friendly Fire achievement now unlocks from any VS battle with a friend We expanded the Friendly Fire challenge so it now counts in all three ways you might battle a friend: Inviting a friend to VS through the Friends screen Joining or hosting an Endless room with a friend Getting paired with a friend in regular Ranked matchmaking If you have battled a friend in any of these modes before and have not received the challenge, finishing one more match with a friend will register it. Important note on Ranked pairings When you happen to get matched against a friend in Ranked, the match still plays out as a full Ranked match. Your ELO will change as normal and you get full coins. The only thing that changes is the Friendly Fire challenge counter ticks up. If you intentionally Invite a friend through the Friends screen, that path still uses the existing reduced rewards (half coins, no ELO change). This is unchanged from before. Other small fixes in this patch VS CPU matches now correctly apply the reduced ELO modifier instead of full ranked ELO. Endless room rematches no longer accidentally add wins to your Ranked Bo3 series counter. Time Attack leaderboard submissions now use the correct configured match duration.

Update notes for April 28, 2026

Pre-fight battle screen countdown The 3-2-1-GO countdown has moved from the VS matchup screen to the battle screen itself. You now see your portrait, opponent, HP bars, and the first sentence in their final positions before the action starts. Music holds during the countdown so the GO! beep is the cue to start typing. What changed VS matchup screen is now a 2 second cinematic only. No countdown numbers there. The 3-2-1-GO! plays as an overlay on top of the live battle UI. Typing is locked during the countdown so a stray keypress will not register. Music starts the moment GO! fires. Pause and quit are blocked during the countdown to prevent accidental aborts. Online VS sync GO! still fires at the same server timestamp on both players, just like before. The visible numbers are a local cue. If you join the lobby late, you might see a shorter countdown, but the moment you can start typing is identical for both players. Cross platform Steam, Epic Games Store, and Android all get the same flow. Live VS, ranked, friend matches, and Endless rooms all use the new countdown. Old client versions can still play against new ones during the rollout window. Typing unlock and sentence sync stay identical.
